Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

The New Creation Reality

A New Type of Humanity: Jesus Christ, Men and Women

Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille

Sunday Night Teaching -- TOM

Ladies and gentlemen, the founding president of The Way International, Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille.

God bless. Take your Bibles and turn to 2 Corinthians, please. Tonight, being here with you in Indiana, I wanted to share some of the greatness of God’s Word regarding “The New Creation Reality,” or subtitled; “A New Type of Humanity: Jesus Christ, Men and Women.”

In 2 Corinthians, Chapter 5, verse 17:

2 Corinthians 5:17:
Therefore if any man [or anyone, is the text – anyone. Man is an inclusive noun] be in Christ, he is a new [creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

That is new creation reality, for you have Christ in you the hope of glory. See, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. And when you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior, it’s God in Christ in you. And that’s why you’re a new creation. Old things, body and soul man – you’re more than that. Those are passed away. You have Christ in you, the hope of glory who is eternal life.

And the great truth of what I’ve just shared with you, you can find in 2 Peter . . . 2 Peter, Chapter 1. 1 and 2 Peter, and then Jude, and then you run out of the Word . . . chapter one of 2 Peter. Look at verse 4. With the last part of verse 3, “ . . . He called us to glory and virtue [power].”[1] And then the first word in verse 4 is “His own.” “Whereby” is in King James; “his own” is the critical Greek text and Aramaic.

2 Peter 1:4:
[His own glory and power which] are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, [Christ in you is the divine nature – new creation reality – a  new type of humanity] escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

“Partakers of the divine nature” – that makes us men and women of God. And it’s always so wonderful when I think of who we are in Christ Jesus, because Ephesians, Chapter 2 says in verse 10:

Ephesians 2:10:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are God’s workmanship. The first time I was born, I was my daddy and mommy’s workmanship. But when I was born again, I am my heavenly Father’s workmanship. And certainly, my heavenly Father can do as good or better than my earthly father and mother. And what a tremendous creation that is within you!

We have never unleashed the power that’s within us because we consistently get talked out of it by the world or by the environment. How many of us live day after day knowing who we really are spiritually? more than conquerors – all of that. With the new creation reality of Christ within, we are His workmanship, and we’re created in Christ Jesus. And that’s eternal life.

You know, in my heart and mind, it’s just not enough to lead somebody to Christ. About all that you hear on television and everything else is endeavoring to lead people to Christ. Get them born again or something; confess their sins. But it’s just not enough to lead men and women to Christ; but we have to teach the things about Christ.

It’s why in Matthew 28, verse 19:

Matthew 28:19a:
Go ye therefore, and [do what?] teach . . .

It’s not just enough to get people saved or lead them to Christ. That’s the starting point, but what’s the use of getting people led to Christ, born again, if they never know who they really are? That they’re a new creation reality. That they’re a new type of human being here upon earth, with Christ in them, the hope of glory.

That’s why he said, “Go ye therefore, and teach . . . ” And then, verse 20:

Matthew 28:20:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the [Age]…

You see, Jesus Christ is not only our savior; it’s not only Christ within, but he is our mediator.

1 Timothy . . . Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews . . . 1 Timothy, Chapter 2:

1 Timothy 2:5:
For there is one God, [verse 5 – one God] and one mediator between [who?] God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

He’s not only our savior, he is our mediator. He’s the mediator. “One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

And, as the mediator, he is also our intercessor. Romans states this so beautifully in Chapter 8 – Romans 8. Listen to this great verse – verse 34:

Romans 8:34a:
Who is he that condemneth? . . .

There are always people hanging around after you’re born again of God’s spirit who are always endeavoring to condemn you or make you feel badly. Can’t do that to a new creation reality; to the new type of human that you are in Christ Jesus.

That’s why the rest of the verse reads,

Romans 8:34b:
. . . [Shall] Christ that died, [question] yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

What a tremendous blessing it is to be a new creation reality, knowing that it’s Christ who also makes intercession for us. That’s a lot better that Saint Joseph, or Maggie Muggins, or Johnny Jump Up; a lot better than Mary. It’s God’s only begotten Son, people, who makes intercession for us. That’s why:

Romans 8:35a:
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  . . .

Verse 38:

Romans 8:38-39:
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So, he is our mediator – Jesus Christ is. He is also our intercessor. And then, finally, he is our defense attorney. You see, when you know the truth of God’s Word, you never need to defend it. All you need to do is speak it. The Word is its own best defense.

And that’s why in 1 John . . . we’re sure flipping you through the Testament, aren’t we? That’s how I know whether you know your books of the Bible. 1 John, Chapter 2:

1 John 2:1:
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. [Break fellowship. But]
. . . if any man [breaks fellowship], we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

The word “advocate” is a barrister, a defense attorney. What a wonderful, wonderful new creation reality this is to have Christ in us as our advocate. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

See, Christ is always fighting for us, always our advocate, always pleading in our behalf. You remember how Moses pleaded for the children of Israel before God in the Old Testament? Well, we have someone better than Moses; we have Christ. And Moses was able to just do so many wonderful things because God took over when Moses talked to God.

Well, when we stay in alignment and harmony with the Lord Jesus Christ, look at the successful new type of life we have. And it’s manifested in our day by day living, in our walk, in our businesses, shops, factories, in our homes. It’s manifested in all of our lives.

You see man’s heart, your heart long before you ever took PFAL; deep within your heart, I know that you prayed fellowship with heaven. No matter how badly depressed you were – you, deep within you, hoped and believed there was something wonderful, something better. You really wanted to have fellowship with heaven or with the good that heaven represents.

Well, when you got born again with Christ in you, the hope of glory, you got it. You’re His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. You are in-dwelt, lived-in, by God in Christ Jesus himself.

In John 14, the Gospel of John, verse 23:

John 14:23:
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him [the text reads, “in him.”]

This is speaking relative to the Day of Pentecost when people were born again for the first time because it was available, that Christ could live within. In the Old Testament, they were sons and daughters (Israel was) by adoption only. You and I are sons and daughters by birth. And he said, if anyone loved me, he’ll keep my word. And you kept his word when you confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believed God raised him from the dead. And he said, “ . . . my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode [live in] him.”

Just imagine the truth of God’s Word and what this does for your heart; when you know that you’re not only born again and going to heaven, but that He is living in you now. He is in there. So, you don’t have to be all nervous and shook and bite your fingernails up to your first knuckle or second, because God loves you and He is in you.

People at best have been driven to what I call a “faith consciousness.” People get talked to about having faith. You don’t need a faith consciousness, you’ve got it. But you need to become more Father-conscious, more conscious of the love of God in your . . . within you. It’s in there, because Jesus Christ is your mediator, he is your intercessor, he is your advocate. And it’s God in Christ in you. That love of God. God so loved that He gave his only begotten Son. That Christ in you is so loving, and you just have to become Father-conscious, love-conscious.

And God so loved, that’s why He built a love home for all the children of His love. And the greatness of this, perhaps, is in John 14 – at least it’s one of the greats.

John 14:1-4:
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house [Jesus said] are many [apartments or] mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [Just specifically for those of us who are His loved children.]
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will [I will] come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

See, I just have no question at any time about the love of God; and that Jesus Christ, who is seated at the right hand of the Father went there, and they’ve prepared for us a place. And that’s because of His great love. So, I’m Father-conscious; but I’m conscious of the love of that Father, like I was conscious of my earthly father and his love for me.

Now, not all people have that kind of father or mother that loves them as I had, but your heavenly Father certainly loves you, and you just have to get a Father-consciousness that He really is concerned about your welfare in every detail.

Many years ago, a minister in one of the churches in Van Wert said if he would ever think of praying for what Dr. Wierwille says he prays to God for, he’d feel like he insulted God. And so, when I met him, when I’d heard this, I asked him if he said that, and he said, “Yeah.” Well, I said, “Then if I felt like you do, I’d get me a new God.” Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

You know, if you can talk to your Father; and insult him and hurt him by talking honestly and lovingly to him, your heavenly Father . . . if I couldn’t talk to Him about every little segment of my life, my work; I’d get me a new God. That just makes sense, wouldn’t it? So, if he felt he was embarrassing God . . . I don’t think you can ever speak to your heavenly Father and embarrass Him. I think you’re the one that’s embarrassed thinking about it. So, quit, quit being embarrassed; you're a child of His love. You’re a child of His care. He is more concerned about every [inaudible, 00:19:32] and fiber of your life and more about the detail in your life, everything about your life, than you are. And I think He knows you better than you know yourself.

So, not only has He prepared a love home for the children of His love, but when you know the reality of God’s Word it takes the terror out of life, and it sure takes the fear out of death.

In John, 1 John . . . that’s way back in there again . . . Chapter 3. Listen to this: the epistle of 1 John, Chapter 3, verse 14:

1 John 3:14a:
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. . . .

See, that’s the new creation reality. That word “love” is the word “agapaō." It is not eros, it’s not phileo. Phileo love is brotherly love, and that simply means, “You scratch my back, I scratch yours.” But agapē love is the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. That kind of love, honey, was never available until the Day of Pentecost. Until the new birth came. With Christ in you, the hope of glory, you can love like he loved.

Read it again. Chapter 3, verse 14:

1 John 3:14:
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not . . . abideth in death.

Just killing yourself. And that’s one thing you surely don’t want to do as a new creation reality – injure yourself. That’s why you just love with the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation.

In chapter four of 1 John, verse 6, it says:

1 John 4:6a:
We are of God: . . .

A while ago, we read that we are . . . well no, I started . . . His workmanship. Here it says the same thing. We are of Him. We are of God.

1 John 4:6b:
. . . he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us . . .

So, whenever I lovingly speak to people about God and Christ, if they listen to it, wonderful. And if they don’t, it’s their problem. If they hear not us, then we know they’re not of God.

1 John 4:6c-8:
. . . Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Beloved, [verse 7] let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth [the agapē kind of love] is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not [with that love of God in the renewed mind] knoweth not God; for God is [agapaō, love of God. God is] love.

The greatness of this love is so magnanimous and so wonderful to the new creation reality, the new type of human, humanity. We are the Jesus men and women.

The world has seldom seen Jesus men and women. They’ve had a lot of religion, but very little
. . . men . . . very few men and women that really walk the talk, and talk the walk of the Word, and live it. And the greatest of all is love.

1 Corinthians naturally must enter some point in this sharing with you tonight. 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13:

1 Corinthians 13:1:
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, [which is speaking in tongues] and have not [love] charity [is love, agapaō, the love of God in the renewed mind], I am become as sounding brass, or a [what?] {tinkling cymbal}.

Right. Nothing wrong with the manifestation, it’s me. I have the privilege being born again of God’s spirit; and knowing His Word, reading His Word, to put on the mind of Christ, and to walk as he walked, to love as he loved.

People have said to me on many, many occasions, “Do you have any problem forgiving people?” And my answer has always been, “No, I don’t have.” Sometimes I have difficulty understanding people, but I have no problem forgiving them. The reason being, I know what He forgave me for and how forgiving God is; how loving, how tremendous Christ is as an intercessor, as my advocate. That’s why I have no difficulty in forgiving people.

I think we use the illustration in PFAL or someplace; if you point one finger at an individual, you point three back at yourself. And who’s going to point any fingers? For we were all dead in trespasses and sins, without God and without hope, before we got born again. But when we got born again, by the love of God, we became new creation reality. That old dead man is over with. We now have Christ in us, the hope of glory, and we can love with the love wherewith Christ loved by renewing our minds, putting on the mind of Christ.

Go to Ephesians for a moment. Ephesians, Chapter 2, verse 4.

Ephesians 2:4:
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead [to] sins, [whom God] quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye [have been] saved;)
[verse 6] And hath raised us up together, [and has roused or awakened us together] and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

He has made us to sit in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus because we’re children of His love. We are the new creation reality. We are the new type of God men and women upon earth. Men and women in whom God in Christ dwells. We’re that new type. And therefore, we’re already seated in the heavenlies. Whether you like it or whether you don’t, you’re seated up there. So, look down and have a good laugh at the world. {Laughter}

What a tremendous truth; seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

So as the new creation reality, as the workmanship of God . . . we, the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, the way – because he is the way, the truth and the life . . . as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we just have to claim our sonship rights. We have to be Father-conscious and realize how much He loves us. Because he came in and made his abode in you.

He is closer to you than hands or feet, or even breathing. He is the all in the all in every part of you. Jesus Christ is eyes behind your eyes, ears behind your ears. He is all in the all of you.

And what a tremendous privilege it is to be able to walk as God’s men and women in the midst of a perverse and crooked world. And we’re seated with Him. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What a tremendous truth! And how we ought to walk forth with the greatness of the Word in our life, as more than conquerors living this abundant life and sharing it; showing the people what Christ really is, and who he is, and what he does for them.

So, I think that was what I had on my heart to share with the household of Indiana tonight.

Thank you very much, Father, for you love and your grace. Thank you for allowing me to be here in Indiana on this wonderful occasion with the people of the household of Indiana here tonight. Thank you for every Twig coordinator, every believer in the entire state, and that we are all ambassadors to hold forth your Word. Thank you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

[1] 2 Peter 1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
