Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.
Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

John Lee you know, these great big wonderful Sunday nights at the headquarters on the way are made possible by those not so great, big, wonderful Sunday nights. You know, I sometimes think of these tremendous meetings, like this particular weekend in relationship to the election of the President of the United States. It is the spadework for his election has to be done months, and sometimes years from the way it looks. Now. The next president elected will have to start immediately campaigning for re election. But I noticed you haven't been observing the newspapers too closely or something. I heard Johnny Carson now. But a president is elected and then they have the ball or whatever they do. You know, everybody goes tripping for something. And they have a great big, wonderful time. And everybody's hilarious, because it's the new president. But really, honestly, all the work that had to be had to be done before. And that's like this great big, wonderful Pentecost rally again, at the headquarters here. The greatness of this ministry is laid during all those preparatory weeks, when our people are out on the field holding forth the Word of God. And they teach the simplicity and the accuracy of God's Word. And people are born again and filled with a spirit. That's where the greatness of the work is done. But we get together to have a wonderful time, in the fellowship of the greatness of the culmination of this wonderful day of Pentecost. This is the day of the birthday of the church. The church says it started on the day of Pentecost, and the church ought to do what can cause death, just by sheer logic. There are so many things in the Word of God that have been difficult for people to understand, basically, because they did not realize that Jesus Christ was simply instructing he was teaching, he was telling about something in at the time which they could not receive because it had not become available. And one of those great records is this record of the new birth in John three. And of course, nothing begins except a man's BORN AGAIN of God's Spirit, right? That's where the chain starts. That's like the first birth, that delivery is what's charged starts to change. When you're born again of God's Spirit. That's where the change begins. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nick Davis, a ruler of the Jews, the same came to Jesus but not and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that our teacher comes from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou do it except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, barely barely I stand to the except a man be born again. He cannot see the kingdom of God, except a man be born from above. On all said, by God, born from above born of God, our first born birth is of a natural birth of our father and mother. The second birth has to be of whom? God that's the new birth. Jesus answered, barely, barely I tend to the except a man be born up Lotter the first birth and of spirit, the second birth, he cannot enter into the kingdom of blood. Here Jesus was teaching about a new birth. It was not available at that time because the full pneus of Christ's ministry upon Earth had not yet been accomplished. Now there are a lot of things like this in the Word of God. Jesus Christ knew exactly what he studied out of the word that was available to him, the Old Testament scrolls and so forth, what those declared and he worked in that word is what he knew, number one, and secondly, the information that God would give him by revelation, which would be word of knowledge or word of wisdom. In John 15. A record that bow reared in that tremendous saga, Pentecost this afternoon, read in detail But it terminates and closes with that great 26th verse where Jesus Christ said, in John 1526, but when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of the testimony of the resurrected Christ, and His power is the fullness of the Spirit. That's the testimony. He doesn't testify of Jesus that, you know, he has to die again, or that he's sacrificed on the altar every week or something. But the testimony he shall testify for me, is the indication in the census rail that you can speak in tongues, speaking in tongues is the external manifestation of the internal reality and presence of the living Christ. It is the proof that God raised Him from the dead. And those of you who have Saturday, the teaching ministry the way know that we absolutely believe that you cannot prove that Abraham Lincoln was president of the United States, but you can prove that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and that He is our Savior, because we have the manifestations. That's the testifying of me in verse 26. In the 16th, chapter of the Gospel of John, and in verse seven of this tremendous chapter, Jesus said, nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it's expedient for you that I go lot, because else the law would not have been fulfilled, our complete redemption would not have been accomplished, the new birth would not have become available, because nobody could be born again until it's availability, and it was not available till the day of Pentecost. Or if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he has come, He will convict the world of sin, and righteousness and of judgment of sin because they believe not on me of righteousness, because I go to my father, and he see me no more of judgment because the prince of this world is what? Well praise the Lord. He's watching. If you have Christ in you, the hope of glory, you're manifesting anything, then in your life and my life as far as God is concerned, the prince of this world, the old devil, Satan, old split foots already up, Judge he's had his day, right? The work that I do, you shall do also and greater works than I've done, you shall do when I go to my lot, Father, which is in heaven. I give you power to tread on overall a power the enemy it says. That's why he's already judged. In God in Christ, and in the believer who knows what he has in Christ and believes that and says it works on you. It's already over we try. It's things of the past. Remember, God said, told Joshua, long before Joshua ever entered the land, Joshua said, every place I mean, God said to Joshua, every place, that the soul of your foot shall future tense, tread upon, I have past hands already given to you. I've often thought wouldn't the guy in real estate have enjoyed that? Ball. You see, God puts in the past tense, that which is still a future reality. Because it's already done as far as God is concerned. He's paid it all in Christ Jesus. Boy, the judgment because the prince of this world is judged. Wherever there's a believer, wherever there's somebody knowledgeable of what he has in Christ Jesus and applies the principles to power a God is there today. Try you know, we've had a tremendous mountain wonderful letters off of this article, I guess it came out a Life magazine. We've only had two critical arguments. One was they argued for $45 We were selling Jesus Christ and you couldn't sell it. And another one didn't like my motorcycle. So those are the two opportunities we've had there, really, and that's beautiful. All the rest of the letters were inquiries hungry people. And one of the things that I'm reading really surprised that in those letters, so many of those hungry people were adults? Well, praise God. That's wonderful. And then the correct time magazine called, and I gave them the information for John leaned over at ECU for John Townsend, over in Kansas. And for Jimmy DOP in California. I figured it's about time time got around to those places. As we didn't have much time for the time over here at the time. So I guess all last weekend they spent with you, didn't they? We we haven't even had time to talk about time, John and I since he's been here, but they've been over there. You see. Here it is all at once. I'm not teaching anything different. I didn't teach to you people that are in here from bandwidth Ohio, years ago in the church. Why all at once now? Don't ask me I don't know. All I know is that God's reality is still God's reality and has been all these years, when we just had a little handful that would only believe why I think I told you tonight I never thought I'd ever lived to see so many people come to hear the greatness of the accuracy of God's word. But here it is. And the way it looks to me it could just about go around the world. Draw. Well, he said, I've yet many things in verse 12, to say unto you, but she cannot bear them. Now. You know why they weren't big enough. God can only put a half a pint into how much half a pint Ah, if you if we're five gallons, he can put how much in that try. And the reason, the reason that it takes time for people to grow in your areas in the knowledge of God's word, when you present the accuracy of God's Word through the classes and through the media of the proper dividing and teaching of it, is because people can only receive that amount that they're capable of acquiring at that time. In other words, if a person can only receive a half a pint, you can't put a gallon in that person spiritually speaking. Now, people develop themselves by their ability to grow and receive this is why there's a progressive unfoldment in the church epistles, even on the revelation that was given to the apostle Paul, he didn't get the revelation of the mystery, all in one lump sum. He got it as it he was capable of receiving. I said to a group of you gathered here on the lawn this morning at 1030. I said, if God would put into us all at once, what God has available for the believers, it just blow your head off. We'd find part of it at the Auglaize county line over here and the other part on route 29. God doesn't work this way. You can only give what we're capable of retaining. But praise the Lord across our nation in the world today. Men are rising up and women who are rapidly expanding their potential of receiving the greatness of the power of God in their life. Now, he also said in verse 13, how be it when he the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all what for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall speak that chat whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak, and He will show you things to come and He shall glorify me. For he shall receive a mine and shall show it unto you. Verse 15, All things that the Father hath are mine, therefore, that I that he shall take a mine and just show it on to you a little while Jesus said, and he shall not see me. And again a little while he shall see me because I go to a lot. And the only way you can see Christ is to see a manifestation. That's all. That's how you see. You see the tremendous amount of teaching in the gospels here. There's another one here in John 20, that all of you have had in the foundation of class, Holy Spirit book and so forth. John 20 By the way, the new book on power for abundant living will be published in here in our hands before the opening of the camp, I guess it's supposed to be in here on June the 30th. And that'll be a tremendous day. Somebody said ought to do some preliminary selling of this thing. I just thought about that stuff. Now for God all the other times, I don't know what they're gonna do, but everybody will want one of them because it goes right along with the class on power for abundant living. And one of the great truths that we've handled in these classes is this 22nd Verse of the 20th chapter.

And when he, Jesus had said this to his apostles, he breathed on them. The word damaged in italics, you see, it scratches. The word on is the same Greek word, or Aramaic word is the word in. That's what it ought to be. He breathed them, and said unto them, Ye shall, ye shall is in the ancient manuscripts. He shall put it in the absolute tense, receive as the word along by now for NUMA howgill. That's the verse 22. Lot I trim tremendous revelation God gave to the Lord Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ gave to the apostles before His ascension. He said unto them, He breathed him He breathed in. Why was he doing to the apostles, he was teaching them how to receive how to receive the new birth, the fullness of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, when it would become available for the first time. He breathed in the same record as a few minutes I'm going to handle from x to a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty when the rushing mighty wind is as of a heavy breathing, a breathing in, he breathed him, and said unto them, Ye shall not you? Maybe not you will, but ye shall absolutely Lombardo. lambino for new my hockey, oh, so the breathing in in verse 22, is the new birth, the breathing in, you know, that's the time when they believe God, they breathed in, and they were born again. And then they learn by node, and you shall I'm by no, this is what he said, before He ascended. This is why Jesus Christ told His apostles. Now in Acts chapter two, we find out how true that's really was. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, fully come. The day of Pentecost was in the process of coming ever since the fall of man in Genesis chapter two. And the first promise of the coming of the Messiah is in Genesis 315, that Reverend Walter come and shared with us this afternoon. All those years. Pentecost was in the process of coming and down through the Old Testament. If you'll check it carefully, from time to time, you will see an abundance of certain manifestations of the Spirit, like the operation of the word of knowledge, the word of wisdom, discerning the spirits, faith, miracles, healing, prophecy, all of the manifestations you will find at various times in more or less degrees in the Old Testament. But there are two manifestations that you do not find, namely, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues. Now, interpretation of tongues would absolutely be unnecessary, until you had the manifestation of speaking in tongues. Because interpretation of tongues is the companion manifestation of speaking in tongues, so that you can utilize it inside of a body of believers. Without interpretation of tongues. The man is never to speak in tongues out loud is, as Corinthian says, he's to speak to himself and to God. Now, the day of Pentecost, was in the process of coming all of those years. And one day it fully came, and it could only fully come when everything was fully completed for its full coming, just like the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. And when the time was full, it says, God sent His only begotten Son born of a woman, all those years before God was waiting for someone to believe. Finally, Mary believe God created soul life within her and she brought forth her first orange sun. And this is our Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that time had fully come. Jesus Christ fulfilled everything ascended up into heaven. And 10 days after His ascension on the day of Pentecost, it fully came. That's what he's talking about. When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they the 12 apostles, were all with one accord unity of purpose. It was an hour of prayer. As a matter of fact, it was the first hour of prayer, which corresponds tower at 6am. Because by the, the third hour, which would correspond to our 9am, the great mass of people were beginning to gather, or had already gathered in the temple in Jerusalem that day, and they were amazed and marble, because these 12 Galileans, were speaking in tongues, a wonderful works of God. And therefore, class, this one accord means unity of purpose. It was an hour of prayer, they were there to pray together, as Jesus Christ had instructed them before He ascended up into heaven, he told them to go back to Jerusalem and wait for the province. And verse two. And suddenly that beautiful morning at six o'clock, suddenly, suddenly, there came a sound from heaven. Heaven is any place above Earth. Here in this auditorium tonight, you're hearing my voice like a sound from heaven. There was a sound from heaven, as of a heavy breathing, rushing mighty wind, a heavy breathing. These 12 apostles, these 12 Men of Galilee, who were gathered there that Pentecost Sunday, that Pentecost morning at six o'clock, something occurred within the confines of that temple that made those men do what Jesus had told them to do, they obeyed, because they simply breathed in like this. Did you hear that back there. That's the sound from heaven as of a heavy breathing. That's take you people seated down here, open your mouth, breathe in, exhale, do it again. That's X to do. Right? a sound from heaven as a very heavy breathing. Now you see, there's, there's things in the background here that I know. And if I suggest them to you, I think you'll see a clearer picture. We live in a day and time and culture and our when really, nobody basically gets excited about God's word. We're excited about lots of other things, but God's word, very few people have ever believed anybody could really get excited about, they believe you can get excited about experiences are not the word. Well, those men that day, had come out of a religious background, where they expected God to do things. As a matter of fact, if there was a man of God around, he was supposed to be able to do things. Remember the man who was born blind, John nine. He just said, I know he's a prophet. I know he's a spiritual man. Why do you know it? Because I was blind. Now I think that's why No, he said, sample? Well, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a heavy breathing. These 12 apostles had experienced or seen what verse three talks about, there appeared unto them, they 12 apostles, these men of Galilee, cloven tongues, like as a fire, and it sat upon each of them. And when this occurred inside of the temple, where they were in one accord book, they just breathed it in and as they breathe in, they just thank God for the living reality, the presence of Christ, the fullness of the Holy Spirit and the new birth. And it says that as they breathed in, this filled all the house, the temple where they were doing what sitting, it was an hour of prayer. They were sitting there were in the posture of prayer. You see proud posture is relatively insignificant. If you were standing tonight you could get saved for us. If you were seated on these chairs or on the floor here like you're a person could get saved, right? You could get saved out on the lawn where many of our people are seated. You could get saved in the backseat of an automobile, I suppose. I never figured that one out

Well, anyways, you can be found a god anywhere and you miss him everywhere. But you'll be found of him when you believe on Him and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus believe God did what raised him from the day. And that's exactly what had happened. Now, the reason that you have verses two and three in these orders, is because like any writer, you can't tell everything in one word. So you had to tell different things in order to build the whole truth up. And the remarkable truth in verse three is that it's sat upon each of them whenever the Bible uses the word sad, it means something is completely completely complete. Thought of this today, when you people presented that great program this afternoon, where it can read from Genesis and on the seventh seventh day God rested from all his labors from all his works, which he had made and created. And so the word rested in the text is the word set. God didn't sit because he was tired. The reason the word puts this is the Conde Sensio figure which just says well, it's all over with it's all finished. It's all wrapped up. There's nothing more to be done so God on the day of Pentecost, people it completely completely cave. There is nothing that God has given since the day of Pentecost. It came that day it's here tonight at the way biblical Research Center. No longer available. If y'all want more you got to get born again a god spirit now and in the gathering together because the more is in the gathering to go and not I'll be a happy upward trip. filled with joy and rejoicing because of the believers the saints get together. And we shall see Him face to face like it says in Corinthians with all these tremendous truth we now see us in a glass walk, dark play but then Glory hallelujah was a man you think this reunions great UNC nothing John Powell.

You know, like go Rufus Mosley said, it's having gone to heaven even if there ain't no heaven after your doctor. But gone, the other routes have gone and there may just be one after you get them. So you're at all. And it's sad. It's sad. It's sad upon each. Did anybody get missed? Boy, when I learned that truth, from God's words, I got set free and one great avenue in my life. I got missed for 15 years. Because I was taught, you know, God, God's now but I'm missing people. So I figured I was one of the missus. Am I assist?

Well, ball ball, you know, I figured Dukes a little better. And I am duplicator. And, uh, my mom now she's our real sharp spiritual tech, she'll get it. But poor leveling will be. over 15 years, I get nothing. By the day, I learned from God's word, this great truth, people. I just knew that I could just lead anybody who was a child of God into the greatness of it. I just know it tonight. There is nobody in this whole world that we can't lead, you know, the manifestation of the fullness of the Spirit, just nobody. And when I said nobody, I mean was nobody you got right, Gods no respecter of us. And on the Day of Pentecost, he gave it and it's sad on each one of those 12 Fellas read the right place at the right time. And they believe and ladies and gentlemen, tonight in this auditorium or anytime when you're out ministering the word, if the believers are there at the right place at the right time, and they're believing God never misses a lot. The first time in any of my classes. When I failed to see everybody in that class speaking in tongues, I cried. I cried Because I knew it wasn't God who flipped I flipped. Because ladies and gentlemen, God's no respecter person and everybody received right later on I learned I should have thrown out one fell out to begin with, and everybody would have received well boy, it's sad upon each of them. Can you imagine old swearing Peter getting? I can't. Some of us have done little that too, you know, in the past, right? How about old? IRS? Matthew? Was the Internal Revenue Service, Matthew? Ah that's right. Boy, there he was that beautiful day of federal law he got. It sat upon what if God waited around for us to get good enough for he to give us anything, we'd all missed the boat. God doesn't sit around waiting for us to get good enough. Buddy gives us the power so we can start getting better. How's that? So we can start getting good or so we can start manifesting more of the power of God in our life. So that we can start moving on the road out. And praise God, we're on the road up. Or I want to tell you, if you started up the first rung of the ladder, you're one step higher, and the fellow that has never started. And I praise God for anybody that's on the first rung. Oh, boy, I never want to be satisfied. The first one I want to go up number two, how about you and just keep going? Well, you're never going to go up a number two until you first get it to sat on you. It's sat on him, you've got to get burned again, with a spirit. That's what he says. In that beautiful. It's sat upon each of them. Oh, what a wonderful job. People if I never saw the word of God happen, I still believe it's God's word. With power for abundant living. That's right. It's God's word people. It's God's Word. God backs up is worried not one jot or tittle. It will pass from the law until it's all fulfilled. Why if we've got something to really believe in, we got something to pin our walk on. Nowhere to Godzilla God. You can't know the Word of God without knowing the word, we got something. All we need to do is hold it forth as witnesses. Just tell it like it is. And the best way to tell it like it is just read it to him line The line. You're pretty sure you're telling it like it is. Right? So many times you hear people with when they read the word is genuine. The moment they start talking about it, they get all screwed up on a no word list. Well, you know what happened? It says verse four, they were all failed. It's not up on each of them. Then they were all failed. And ladies and gentlemen, if everybody was failed of the 12 apostles, how full worthy Alright, if you're full, you're one. Boy, nobody gets me. They were all filled. They were all filled, playful, filled to capacity. With a new My God, Holy Spirit, God's gift. Because God is the Holy Spirit. His gift on the day of Pentecost, which was available in all of its Poland, for the first time as the new birth is also called Holy Spirit. Their greatest thing God is his holy and Goddess. I think it's one of the church epistles says he His Holiness doesn't even use the word holy of A. It's Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy is God holiness. And God is Spirit. And here, they were all failed. They were all failed. And you know what happened when they were failed? It says they began to do What's the proof that you're failed? Is that speaking, where is this where the church started? Then where is the proof in the church today? Still the same place? Or you can argue with God and tell God he's wrong, man, that's like throwing mud at the sun.

What a capo. Somebody come along say, Well, I don't think it's necessary for me to speak. While I'm at one writer, you have to think the word says what you think. The word said I would do speaking done just a commander the Lord. So quit telling God how to run a show. Get the Kraken. Mo, get off your Duff's and do what the Lord says, Well, I don't let anybody tell me today, they don't have to speak in tongues. The Word says, That settles it right? Why sure the words of God were to God, the Word of God. Because if you can't trust God in Acts, chapter two, how you're going to trust him in John 316. It's either God's Word or it isn't either meant what he said and said what he meant or it's not God's word. They were all failed. And they began not their grandma, they weren't possessed. They weren't controlled. They weren't instruments. They weren't channels. They weren't believers, born again, our God Spirit. And they began, they did it by the freedom of their wheel. They spoke in tongues. They did it, as the Spirit gave them what what they spoke was what the Spirit God gave to his gift to know my guild in those Galileans that day, and it still works the same tonight. And so class in four verses of Scripture, it's unbelievable. All the great truths that are set forth here. But this is the greatest experience the world has ever seen. The scripture says that angels decided to look into it. The scripture says that the prophets of old search the Scriptures to find out about it, they didn't find out about it, angels couldn't get their nose into it. Then one day, maneuver, the miracle of all miracles, of how a man or a woman can be dead in trespasses and sins without God and without hope in this world. Just a person, a body and soul and empty gone through floating by. That's all. And in the next moment, in the twinkling of an eye faster than you can flip your eyeballs. You're born again of God, Spirit, Heaven beyond that, all hail. We can't stop you from going, ladies and gentlemen, if that isn't a miracle, you name one. Ah, oh, go. And I have such a wonderful Savior who so loved us that he lays down his life for it. He paid it all. So that you and I might have the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That beautiful. He is our justification. He is our wisdom. He is our sanctification. He is our complete Redeemer, our complete savior. Ladies and gentlemen, this Pentecost Sunday night again. Our hearts are effervescing. They're bubbling. They're glowing with the radiance of the love of Christ in our schools. Because we've got the proof in the census world of the resurrected and living Christ. And he's coming back. Remember what he said? Man when those angels appeared, you know, those 11 Men of Galilee, I think it says in here someplace, that same Jesus, wherever it is the next one, I guess 11 Not some isn't beautiful, this same Jesus, which is taken up from you and I haven't showered so common what? Amen.

And in all of that fullness, we have the assurance of us return. People. I don't see any sense in anybody not wanting to be a Christian. I think people have to be stupid or I'm stupid not to want to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. I can't understand how a man can say yes, he can think and bypass the invitation of salvation. But then again, I guess I can understand because I know how Satan blocks people's eyes. And I know that until you're born again and renew your mind you're insane says the words. So I guess I do, but in my heart and soul I just want everybody gets saved. I want everybody BORN AGAIN of God's Spirit. I just want everybody can have such a beautiful life as we have here tonight. Shoot we're not angry at each other. We're not fight. Right?
