Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

We're going to start in John 13, I'll fire we're going to go depends a great deal on a number of things. I like to suggest to you that during the season of the year instead of trying to be so analytical and trying to figure everything out your sale, why don't you just read the Gospels of the last week of Jesus lot from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, just read. And if you've read them once, read it the second time, read it the third time, because sooner or later, you get a lot of it's in your heart. And it begins to really fit and gel and mesh for you. And you'll never really get to understand the word from just working one little word here and one little word there. That's why the first thing we suggest our people after they take the class on power for abundant living, that they start reading the book of Ephesians. Just read the book, just read it, you get the feel of it, you get the this inner depth that you have to have. Now hearing the 13th chapter of the Gospel of John, now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was what, come. Jesus knew that his hour was come. Before this, he did not know that His hour had come. He knew the general time, but just that His hour had come, he did not know. And had Jesus Christ been God, he would have won. No. See, these are the kind of things when I read I see this in the word, these great truths that are set here like diamonds, now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that is our with come, that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, Having loved His own, which were in the world, he loved them unto the end, and suffer being ended. The devil, having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon son, to betray Him, Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God, he rises from supper, laid aside His garments, and took a towel and greeted himself. After that, he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel were with he was good. Then kamati to Simon Peter. And Peter said unto him, Lord, does not wash my feet. Jesus answered and said unto him, what I do, though, no, it's not now but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter said unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, if I wash the knot, thou has no part with Me. Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feed only but also my hand in my

03:26

that's our Peter is the beautiful is just so human. First thing, he says, large you're not gonna watch me that the Lord says, Well, I find though you're in trouble. Then he said, Well, just give me the words. My, Jesus says to him, he that is washed. They did the text, need have not, but to wash his feet, but it's clean every width and yard clean, but not all. And here he's talking about an Orientalism that if you have had your bath, and you go for a walk, or you go out to the market, and you come back, all you need to do is wash your feet. Because they had to wash the dust off of their feet to get into the house. It's an Orientalism. For he knew Jesus knew, who should be trained him therefore said he urine not all clean. So after he had bathed their feet, and had taken his Garmin, and what stepped down again, he said unto them, no you want I have done to you. Geek call me Master and Lord. And He say, well, for so I am. If I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet, you also ought to watch or bathe. One and wash one another's feet. Or I have given you an example that you should do, as I have done to you, barely, barely I stand to you, that servant is not greater than his Lord, neither he that is sent greater than He that lot sent him. If you know these things happy, are ye, if you do them. This Jesus spoke to His disciples, as the word says here. And among those disciples, of course, were the 12 apostles. There were more people involved in this supper than just the picture shows of the 12. You know, they I don't know who painted that picture. Some famous painter did he? Well, he's got his theology a little wrong on the painting, but it brings a lot of money when they sell it, but not the accuracy of the word. Now, people have a problem with this, even in our time, there are denominations that go through the, the ritual of washing one another's feet before they take Holy Communion. Very wonderful, sincere, Christian believers BORN AGAIN of God's Spirit. And they use these verses here, to back up their position of footwashing. Of course, the reason they get involved in this is because they do not rightly divide the word right says all scripture of forward time before the day of Pentecost, is for our learning. So they appropriate this as a dressed unto them. And if you appropriate this as a dress to you, you must appropriate everything in the gospels as addressed to you. And then you have a tremendous conflict with the church epistles which are addressed to the born again, believers after the day of Pentecost. But the great truth for our learning is that Jesus was an example. And the master, he said, I am Lord and Master, and yet he humbled himself to be a servant. Those of us who ministered the word, those of us who hold forth the word have to be servants to our fellow men. We cannot see, be seated in the high echelons of society and our people, so amaz and do all this other stuff. The greater the master, the greater he must be in His service. You see many times in the academic realms today, the only reasons people go through this academic realm is because they think that I have an easier life, get more money and hold positions of greater influence and prestige. So people bow down to them. That's it's just the opposite. The finer your education. The more you know, the more knowledge of God's word you have, the more you and I are to be servants to our fellow men.

08:25

And that's what he's talking about. The tremendous truth in here, verse 18, I speak not of you all, I know whom I have chosen, but that the scripture may be fulfilled. He that eateth bread with me, had revolted against me, lifted up his heel is a beautiful Orientalism, which in our terminology is the word revolted. Now, I tell you before it come, that when it is come to pass, he may believe that I am he barely barely I stand to you. He did not receive it, who started whosoever I send receive with me. And he that receiveth me, receive at him, that was who sent him. When you receive the Lord Jesus Christ and you receive Christ, and you receive Him, God's who sent him. This carries over. It's here for our learning, but it carries over in the experience on the day of Pentecost. If we get far enough along in the gospel here tonight, you'll see all of this. When Jesus had done said he was troubled in spirit. This is the spirit of man, the natural man spirit, the life of man spirits. and testified and said, barely I stand to you. One of you shall be training. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke or spake now there was leaning on Jesus bosom one of his disciples whom Jesus loved it could have been John, but it could also have been Lancer. Nobody ever thinks about it being Lazarus. Because somebody paint didn't he didn't he paints a picture of the Last Supper, Leonardo or somebody? Yeah. I'm glad all you bright people are here. No, all this art, beauty. Well, he's got, he's got the apostle John, leaning on him. It doesn't mention it. It simply says, leaning on Jesus puts on one of his walk. Now we know John the Apostle was a disciple. But we also know that Lazarus was a one

11:31

time Simon Peter, therefore back into him. This fella that fleet. Here's Peter again. He's working his thing that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake your theater. You don't want to know Who's he talking about? Somebody's got to betray me.

11:50

Who is he talking about? He then lying on Jesus breath stepped onto him. Lord, who is it? Jesus answered. He it is to whom I shall give a stop. It's a little morsel of bread when I've dipped it. And when he had dipped to stop the morsel. He gave it to Judas Iscariot, that son of Simon the Oriental culture is that when you dip this bread when the hose dips it he never gives it to anybody but one whom he loves very, very much. Well, I don't know about a Donnie Tata kicked his teeth in or something. You know, if somebody's dog just somebody's beating up on you if they're gonna really lay it to you, would you? Jesus took this and gave it to Judas Iscariot. And after the stop Satan entered into him that is into Judas. Then said Jesus unto him that I'll do is do quickly. This phrase is one I used in the foundational class, remember? Now no man at the table knew for what intent, he spoke this onto them onto him. For some of them thought because Judas had the bag, he was a treasure, that Jesus had said unto him by those things that we have need up against the feet, or that he should give something to the poor. He then having received the morsel the SOP went immediately out, and it was nice. If I was going to use a text as a springboard, that sure would be a good one. They call because with all the love of Christ, on Judas, and everything Jesus did for him. Judas goes out and when he leaves the presence of Christ, it is locked. It's still night when we walk away from you. That's how I would work this thing that give you a good one in Sunday school next Sunday. If it comes up, you can use it. Therefore, that is if you're going when he was gone out. Jesus said now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify Him, Jesus Christ in himself and shall strictly glorify Him. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me and as I said unto the Jews were the right dose. He cannot come. So now I say to you, A new commandment I give unto you that to love one another, as I have one, he washed their feet, he gave to Judas, the morsel that key also love one another. By this shell all knew that she are my disciples if he love one another. Now, Simon Peter again gets involved for the third time in this chapter, and he forgets the great teaching on love. And he remembers, Lord with a Goa style, he was more interested in the trip, than in the reality of this love, because Peter had a little problem with this thing, because later on in the scriptures, regarding this particular time, Peter sort of chops the ear off about serving the high priest. You must have forgotten what Jesus taught here to them that night. Jesus answered him, whether I go without can not follow me now, but thou shall follow me afterwards. Peter said on him, Lord, why cannot I follow the now? Oh, lay down my life for thy sake. Jesus and 3d will lay down my life for my sake. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, the COC shall not crow till thou has denied me one isn't just beautiful. Peter is so human and the Lord Jesus Christ, so human.

16:50

Peter just tells it like he feels, and the Lord comes right back and straightens him out. It's really wonderful when you see the depth of the word like this, chapter 14, Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. And these first five or four, five verses in here, are directly out of the marriage ceremony of the Jesus Christ dipped right into what is still utilized in the interiors of, of Indian so forth. And by the way, our friend Dr. J. S. Williams died last week in Bombay. man whom I love very much, and for whom I'm very grateful, because the stand he took with us in the ministry of the world in India. And for his presence here at the international headquarters, was it three years ago or more already, time goes by two, three years ago, when he was our guest here at the way international headquarters.

18:20

I'll read the verses and then I'll give you a little of the Orientalism behind it. He said to Peter, these men, Let not your heart be troubled. God had said whether I go you cannot come and it took them. They wanted to go. They couldn't. He said, Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in me what I'm saying to you. In my Father's house are many mansions or apartments. If it were not, so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there ye may be also and whether I go and I whether I go you know and the way you want. That's it. That's the part that came right out of the marriage ceremony. Because the first year of marriage was always the honeymoon. The young couple went on our honeymoon for one year. Not a bad idea. At the end of the year of honeymoon, the bridegroom would bring his bride of one year and in a public meeting, where the can attendance, bridesmaids were present plus the best man. They'd hold a public meeting. And everybody come. And then at the end of this particular service or presentation, he, the husband or the bridegroom, of one year would say to his little wife, Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God you believe also in Me, your husband. In my Father's house, our apartment apartments, many apartments, they cause in the Oriental culture, that son had to bring his wife after one year of honeymoon, he had to bring her home into Daddy's house, because they live together, as long as the father lives. He is head of the family, the oldest son is next in charge. That's why in the Old Testament died. And his older. Jacob, the father of Joseph, who is that Jacob he died, and his his his oldest son, it says in the Bible, his oldest son closed his eyes. This, this was the oldest son's responsibility, among other things, they got next to the Father in line is the oldest son, then the second son, then the third son and the fourth son. Now, when the third son, as this wife of one year, he says to her in this public meeting, you believe in God believe in me, I go to my father's house to prepare another apartment to finish it out, get the furniture, put the rugs down, hang up the drapes, get everything ready. In my Father's house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for hope. You. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. Even if I don't send you a bouquet of roses every week, or write you every night, beautiful, mushy letter, I'm going to be coming back. Why? Because you're my wife. I will come again and receive you take you under Myself that where I am ye maybe also, he's coming back for when the apartment is prepared. Take his little sweetie, and they go to the new apartment. And when I go where I'm going, you know, and the way he know Jesus used that to talk about and present the truth of His return to the Father going to the Father.

23:11

Tremendous thing. Very fun. Thomas says on to him. Lord, we know not whether they'll go is and how can we know the way? Jesus said unto him, I am Blake. The truth? The I Am is not repeated because it's unnecessary. But that's the emphasis. Jesus has I am the way I am the lot. I am the lot. And without Jesus Christ class, there is no way there is no truth. There is no life. It's just a compound. No man comment under the father. But my lot. That's what it says that swatted me, there is only one way and that way is the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. You can talk to me about your Buddha's about your Krishna about all these other great leaders, Muhammad and all the rest. But there's only one way if you want to go to heaven. And that's the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the WAY the TRUTH and the light. Now you say to me, Well, are there not a lot of wonderful good people among these other groups? Sure. There's a lot of wonderful good people on a wonderful good people in the United States, but it's good people that go I am Trump or someplace, they don't go, the place he has prepared. Because if you want to go that place, you've got to go his way. You don't play this ball game by your rules or my roles, we play it by the rules he set up, right? It's his ball game, spiritually speaking. And if it is ball game, we play the rules, according to a ball game, right? You want to play basketball, you don't play him by football rules, even though it gets a little rough, like this week. But just still, well, you finally get to sit on the bench. Because you make too many fouls or something. People say to me all the time, well, that went off, are the people going to everybody outside of Christ are nobody going to get saved? I say, Well, don't argue with me argue with the Lord. That's right. Cuz you know, something they want, they want to feel so sorry for somebody in Africa. So they don't have to think about themselves or their own neighbors next door. Cause it's a beautiful cop out to get so concerned about the Indians having the gospel about the South American people having the gospel about Africa having the gospel, they forget, there's somebody living right next door, because if they had to witness to the law next door, they'd have to know the Word of God, they'd rather pay a little, and pray a little than to witness the word. So they put in an extra buck in the collection. So we can have a cause for missions. And missions is nothing basically but a cop out of Christians who then don't have to witness because they say we're sending somebody else.

26:54

You know, years ago, here in the United States, if you didn't want to go to war, you'd hire somebody go for you. This was, I guess, is still true at the time of the war between the South and the North or something. I don't know how much later. If, if, you know, if you were busy planting corn, you didn't want to go see or hire somebody else to go. Well, I can't do that with the Lord or what Burns was. Yeah, that number seven, six, we just finished. Now watch very seven. If he had known me, Jesus said, he should have known my Father What? And from henceforth HE KNOW Him. And have what? Oh, that's a little difficult, because God is hot. So this seen him has to be carried on to understand it. Still upset on him, Lord, show us the Father and it suffices us satisfies us. Jesus said unto him, how have I been so long time with you? And yet half down, not known me, Philip? He that has seen me have seen what, Anna? How say us now, show us the Father. How did they see the Father because they saw his son, and that son always did the will of his luck. That's how they saw God. Not in spirit, not in what God's will was, through His Son, Jesus Christ, to God's people. Leave a sound out that I am in the Father and the Father in me. The words that I speak unto you, I speak not of my luck. Right? When he spoke to Judas, he didn't speak this of himself. He's spoken as he had a revelation, because he was doing the father's what?

29:03

What the Father that dwelleth in me he do authorities believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else just believe me for the very work sake. Valley Valley I stand to you. He that believeth on me the work that I do, shall he was and greater than De Chelly do because I go unto my was Jose Oh Jesus Christ was God and God is a Father Father had to go back to himself not stupid.

29:49

Boy, you see how when you read this word, how we've just been so tripped out on who the father is who God is who Jesus Christ is like this Holy Spirit's thing is all about, really, we were just totally blind for the most part people have been. He said, The word said, I do, ye shall walk. And he said this to his disciples among whom were the apostles. And after the day of Pentecost, they did exactly this. Before the day of Pentecost, they did very little. The work that I do, he shall do also, well, what work did he do? Read the Gospels and find out what it is. That's the works were to do. And greater than the shall he do? greater works than I have done Jesus saying, Ye shall do and that shell puts it in the absolute tense, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Greater than these ye Sal or D shall he do? Because I go, where? Didn't say at that time, but after or because I go where? The father not then but when he goes to the Father, and whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do that then Father may be glorified in that he was right. And to ask in his name, does not mean to just say the words, I pray that in the name of Jesus Christ, you've heard that right. That's nice. That's not what the word is deeper than that. It is to ask in my name is to believe what that name represented. Everything that's in that name must be believed. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will love if you love me do what? Alright, and I will pray the Father. And He shall give you and other comforter that he may abide with you forever. In birth, I'm going to go back to 16 in a minute, but in verse 26, it says the comforter is the lot. Right? In keep your finger here and look at 16 Chapter 16 verse seven. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth it's expedient that I go away for if I go not away, the Comforter will not look and he has just told us that the comforter is but no Maha God the Holy Spirit. If you've got the ability to flip back to the book of John the epistle First John chapter to my little children these things right i on to you that he said not. And if any man sins, we have a comforter, the word comforters advocate, defense attorney, one who stands in our place with the Father, and that advocate, look who that comforter is. Who is it? Jesus Christ was swatted. Now you begin to see that when you get in the church epistles and it teaches that the new birth is Christ in you the hope for dough right. That is the comforter and the comforter is the Purnima hug you own the Holy Spirit's small h small f, which is God's gift to the believer. Verse 16, of chapter 14 Now pray the Father and He shall give you another one, that he may abide with you forever. And here in verse 17. It's called the spirit of us. So the comforter which is Christ in you is a new Maha God holy spirit, which is the spirit of truth. Because Jesus had I am the way the lot

34:51

boom the world The world cannot receive lambino Because it was CSM not neither knoweth him, But ye know him. For he dwelleth with you, and shall the future tan swear? Oh, that's some. You see, you can separate God as a father, his Son, Jesus Christ, His gift for no Maha do and Holy Spirit comforter, only to a degree, only to a degree, because Jesus Christ is truth, and coming into the individual, He is the Spirit of truth, but God is wired in Christ, and therefore, God in Christ in you is this comforter, this Holy Spirit, this power from on high, the spirit of truth. That's why in this particular verse, it says, but you know him that spirit of truth, who is God in Jesus Christ or Christ Jesus, for he dwelleth God dwelleth were with you, this spirit of truth in Christ Jesus God dwelleth with you on shall beware, and the spirit of truth for new Maha God on the apostles and the disciples before the day of Pentecost, it was only upon them or wisdom wasn't inside John, but on the day of Pentecost that which was with them, came into them. And that is a tremendous thing. Very taking sales, I will not leave you comfort left. I will come to you. And not again is the new my hockey Oh, Holy Spirit Christ in you. Yet a little while, and the world see of me what? But you see me why, because I live because I want and if he's going to live, God's going to have to do up, raise him from the dead. And because I live, ye shall absolute can't live also. And that that day, he shall know that I am in my Father. And He it me, and I were and people. That's how I know it. I know this because of the manifestations of Panama audio and the Holy Spirit. That is the proof in the census world. The manifestations like tonight you're heard speaking in tongues, interpretation, prophecy, that's the proof in the census world that God raised him and that he is alive and because he is alive, ye shall live Oh, so and I thought day he shall know. No kn O W. To know by experience. It's not just a brain cell knowing it's an experiential knowing, that he shall know that you know, that can know that you know, that he Jesus is in the Father, and you are in Him. And He is in you. Either has my commandments, and keep at them he it is that loveth me. And he that loveth Me shall be loved to my father, and I will love him and we will manage and I and will manifest myself lot to him. That's just terrific. Judas says unto him, not as scary, Lord, how is it that thou will manifest thyself unto us and not under the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves Me, he will keep my words and my Father will love him. And we we we God and Christ, Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, we will come unto him and make Our abode with him. And our abode with him is the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. He that loveth may not keep it not my same as The words which you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken on to you being yet present what, but the comforter, which is deeper know my bahagi own Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send, in my name, the name of Jesus Christ. He shall absolute tense, teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you. He shall teach you all things, doesn't say he's going to teach it without a teacher doesn't say he's going to teach it without a Bible or word of God. It just says, you're going to teach you all things, then you have to work the word to find out, has this occurred. And it did. For all the churchy pistols put together, that's all there is, there is no more you'll ever know, or can ever know. Because all knowledge for the believer is wrapped up in all of its fullness in those Turkey petals. And that's the all truth that He will lead us in. There is no more truth than that. And that, also, the teaching us all things. And he'll bring things all things to your remembrance whatsoever, I have a lot. That's just like today, when you work that way to God and use rightly divided, you may not be able to come over to me and say, Well, I know that that is in first Thessalonians chapter two, verse 17. And that is in Galatians, six, four, or this is over here. But you'll just know it's in the word, because this Spirit, God himself will bring it back to your remember. I used to hit this pretty hard in the foundational class, and then I got tired of the fight. Right, I used to say to people, it's not your intellectual capacities that I'm really concerned about. But the discipline in learning to believe God according to his Word, because there's just hardly anybody that I know of that could sit through that foundation or plants and say, Well, I got it all on the first trip. So the best thing to do is just play it cool. And just do all you can, but then where you fall short, you've heard it. And it's, it's hit here, ask God to bring it back to your remembrance. And he's very, verse 27, he says, Peace I leave lot with you. My peace I give unto you, not as the world Give it. Give it to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be want, oh, boy, that wonderful. You have heard how I set out to you I go away and come again under you. If you love me, you would rejoice because I said, I go under the Father for my Father is greater than law. Now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it comes to pass, you might spot see all this instruction. And people keep telling me that Jesus Christ never taught his disciples how to speak in tongues and that kind of stuff. They just never read the word. Because in the Gospel of John later on, he instructs the disciples exactly what to do on the day of Pentecost exactly how to speak in tongues, how to be born again. And this kind of stuff. He taught him all of that. Well, people how are people going to learn unless somebody teaches? Jesus Christ was God's only begotten Son. He always did the will of the Father. He taught the Word to people and as he taught the Word, it was God's will for God's the Word of God Zorrilla God

44:47

and he taught them the word. Then when it would come to pass, they would carry out the work. The job manifested Verse 29. And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it comes to pass you might want hereafter from now on, I will not talk much with you for the prince of this world, the old devil Lucifer, the adversary, Satan, the whole game, the prince of this world come up and have loved nothing in me. How is the prince of this world coming to him and have nothing in him by the crucifixion? Or it was he who inspired these others, to crucify the Lord Jesus Christ.

45:46

I told you, the prince of this world come, and the prince of this world deal devil in sale, but he has nothing in me, but that the world may know that I love the Father. And as the Father gave me commandment, even so, I want arise, let us go in. Boy, what a tremendous chapter, tremendous truths in these two chapters.

46:27

As the father gave me commandment, even so I do. He always did the Father's will. When he was dying upon the cross, whose will was he doing? The father? When he allowed himself to be beaten, the crown of thorns, spit in his face, slap him? Was he being obedient to God? Definitely. It wasn't God doing this to him. But man, door influence, possessed, controlled, motivated by God's Ark enemy, the devil himself. And they're the ones who caused the crucifixion, through the people who listen to it. That's why he says, The Father gave me commandment even so I do. And he laid down his life for us, therefore, he said, Dad, His apostles and disciples, well, let's get Yom. Arise. Let us go ahead. And of course, then you have some more teaching. And you finally get to the Garden of Gethsemane where the last minute battle, that Jesus had to fight with himself to do the Father's will, he would have to lay down his life. He would have to relinquish it. He would have to allow for himself, to go through what he goes, what he went through, so that you and I might become the righteousness of God at him. And that it is that he prays in the Garden of Gethsemane, that tremendous prayer which only Jesus Christ had the right to pray, no other man has ever had the right to break. And he prayed it regarding his sacrifice to giving up himself when he prayed, not my will, but dying they was, Lord, if it's possible, let this cup pass from me. But if not, not my will, but Thine be done and it was prayed regarding your salvation and mine. And he's the only man who's ever had the right to pray that prayer. Because he was always in alignment and harmony with God. Being being Jesus Christ, human. Do you think he had feeling emotion, passion, desire? When they nailed those nails through his hands, do you think they hurt? The crown of thorns on his head? Did it hurt? Right? And he was simply praying regarding salvation. Ray said, Lord, if there's any other way. let this cup pass away, but if not, not my will, but Thine be what? Because there's only one way mankind could ever come back to God and that is for God to have a son who is Who would be implicitly obedient even to the death of the cross? And our Lord Jesus Christ was that son, he was that obedient one, he was that one who laid down his life because nobody took it away from me could have walked off that cross like, water goes through a tin horn, he could have just stepped off that cross. They it wasn't the nails honey that held him to that cross. You know, what held him there his love. For God so loved Jesus Christ, so love. The master is no is not greater than the servant. He had, the master must get down to the level of the servant and wash their feet. He laid down His life on the cross, nobody took it away from him. And he did this because he loved us. That's why when you just read the word like tonight, we read only two chapters. But if you read the rest of this, and just see the impact of greatness of this Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is just been done. What he did for us what he accomplished for us, he just did.

51:20

And what are you and I going to do with copout jumped the traces every two minutes, push the responsibility on someone else. Are we going to walk holding forth the greatness of God's word, in the shops and factories and on the farms, in the communities where we live in the businesses in the home? It's our responsibility to hold forth the greatness of that word. In our day and time class, it is a singular and unique privilege to hold forth the word when almost everybody else is holding forth their own private opinions or their own ideology, or their own philosophies or their own theology. Just to go to the Word and read what the Word says, and understand it in the light of its context, and hold this for that is a great privilege. And it's a great privilege for those who have the joy of hearing or it's a wonderful time that God has given us to leave.
