Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: God, mind, virtues, church, ministry, practice, stand, believers

As you know, Philippians give us the practical side of witchy theologians gives the doctrinal or the teaching side Philippians was written to the church in Philippi, to correct the practical air that it crept into the church because of failure of adherence to the revelation given in the book of Ephesians. But it not only corrects the practical air, it sets forth the practical side of Christianity. And it deals in a great respect with the renewed mind. The things that I am going to set before you tonight, may in some respect, be rather detailed, and be rather heavy. I'm not doing this to show you how little or much I know about the Word of God. But I think that these things must be saved. If for no other reason than they are put down on tape, and it's recorded, and then people can listen again and they can work. I said to Reverend Commons before I came in the auditorium tonight, at the close of this service tonight, I'll give him my notes on this particular work, because it's man of his ability, and others that are involved in the ministry of research from Greek and Aramaic, that takes some of this work that I've done, and to bring it into fruition and into even greater and finer points than I am capable of doing. But I want to teach the fourth chapter of Philippians. But I'll have to take two Sunday nights to do it. So tonight to be like a serial act one tonight, part two, next Sunday night. Now in order to teach you the fourth chapter of Philippians, I want to read sections of the third chapter with you to set the pattern for that fourth chapter. I want to begin reading with verse three of chapter three of Philippians. And if I read words, which are not in the King James, these are words in this chapter which we have corrected from the critical Greek texts and made them to fit as what the word originally was. For we are verse three, four, we are the circumcision. who worship God, by way of the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the lot flesh. Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has, whereas he might trust in the flesh, I more Circumcised the eighth day of the stock of Israel, the tribe of Benjamin, in Hebrew of the Hebrews, as touching the law of Pharisee Concerning zeal, persecuting the church, touching the righteousness, which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gained to me, those I counted loss, for Christ's gay, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but done, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is true the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God. First came, that I may know him, that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his death, if by any means I might arrive unto the out resurrection of the dead, not as though I had already attained, either we're already perfect, but I follow after,

04:44

if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do read refuting or declaring Nolan void those things which are behind and reaching forth onto those things which are before I press toward the mark, for the prize of the high or upward calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded. And if in anything you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, were to we have already attained let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, the followers to gather a me and mark them which walks so as you have us for an example. Or many Walk Of whom I've told you often and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly thing for our citizenship is in heaven. From whence also we look forward, the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our humiliate that or view our body of humiliation, who shall change our body of humiliation, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things onto himself. Therefore, the word therefore, always indicates a logical procedure, following upon that which has been taught. The whole third chapter deals basically, with the pressing on toward the prize, the mark for the prize of the upward calling. And to press on toward this mark, time and time again in the third chapter, you have reference to one mind, or with that mind of Christ. And so here in the fourth chapter, we now are going to get the, the essence of this whole logical procedure of pressing upward, pressing onward with one mind, which is the renewed mind. Here the word therefore, in this first verse of chapter four, expresses the result of that which should be in manifestation, since we have so much given unto us in Christ Jesus. The word in so much could replace the word therefore in so much as we have the joy, and we enjoy the privilege of citizenship. In heaven rot nail, a guarantee for our citizenship in verse 20, it says, is where in heaven in so much as we enjoy the privilege of heavenly Citizenship Now, our logical result of this should be characterized by the quality of our steadfastness with one mind upon the Word. That's why we read therefore, my brethren, Dearly beloved and long for my giant crown. So stand lot fast and fast in the Lord, my beloved, Dearly Beloved. To stand fast means, do not budge. Do not yield your stand fast with one mind in the Lord. You see, to stand fast in the Lord is many times different than for people who sometimes when you're looking at them, they stand fast. Because you can stand fast and simply be opinionated or stubborn.

09:33

Just won't budge, even if God Almighty said this. I run into this sometimes in the teaching of the classes. I teach, just read it to the word, read them the word and somebody will say, Well, that wasn't the way I was taught. I don't care what the Word says. This is what a ministry said to be once. He didn't care what the Word says the denomination said so and so. Well, that's what your call said. Yeah, he got involved in the concrete you see, to be steadfast in the Lord does not mean that we're stubborn or opinionated. Or to be opinionated or stubborn is no substitute for strength of mind. And certainly compromise on the Word of God will always replace the integrity of the word, then you're not steadfast. Verse two says, I beseech and the word beseeches to, it's like, with the loving begging this, I just lovingly beg you what die is and Cynthia key. These were two ladies.

11:08

How many of you thought they were made? I doubt if they were, I believe they were lady.

11:19

Because in verse three, you could have many of you lie. You women can have manumitted can have ladies, I don't care. But it's interesting in here to follow this through because in verse three, where he says help those women that they help, of course, and help those is the feminine word used layer. And I think it relates back to those two ladies. And the reason this is so intriguing to me, because I think for many years, we have had the idea that Christianity was basically a man's religion, to the end, where a man was supposed to front it up, but the women kept it going. You know, it's like the church, the board of elders is all men, but they don't go the women keep the bills paid, and they run to Sunday school classes, and they keep the rest of the was true many places. If it wouldn't be for the women's presence inside of some of the buildings, it'd be very, very empty. And it's unique to see in the Word of God that at Philippi and other churches in the area, women played a very prominent part. I will show you this from Philippians in the book of Acts, if you flip your fingers, keep your finger then go back to the book of Acts. I just give you two references in here to substantiate what I'm saying to you tonight, act 16.

13:02

Think it's very 13 We're going to look at either three or 13. right up in there. Oh, yes, 13. You see, and from thence to Philippi verse 12. And on the Sabbath, verse 13. We went out of the city by a riverside where prayer was accustomed to being made. And we sat down and spoke unto the women, which resorted visits. So there must have been some prominent women or women present at Philippi, when Paul first went there with the Word of God, in the 17th chapter of the book of Acts. And in verse four, and some of them believe this is the Thessalonica and can started with Paul and Silas and the devout Greeks a great mode and the chief women not a watt view. And in verse 12, therefore, many of them believed also of honorable women, which were Greeks and a men, not a few. So that's the one I can flip by. You had some very prominent women in the church, moving with the Word of God. And these two ladies in the church, we're not of one mind. And we have just gone through the word of God, teaching the word that they were to press toward the mark. How can you and I press toward the same mark if we're not of the same mind? How can we play a football game? If somebody wants to play cricket, somebody else wants to play tennis. Somebody else wants to play basketball. And somebody else just wants to play period. If you're going to you have to be on the same mind. Now, inside of this church, these two ladies, were not of the same mind. And the Word says, I beseech I beg you, I lovingly plead with you, please get the same mind as if you're going to manifest a united effort, a united front, for the Lord Jesus Christ, you've got to get people of the same mind. One person can't trip out on this little doodad and somebody else trip out on something else. We have to have the same mind the same goal up there and we all as a group of fellow believers have to drive toward that goal. Verse three, and I entreat the also true yoke fellow help those women which labored with me in the Gospel with climate also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life. This yoke fellow we have in the United States what do you call it? Some kind of thing. They you know, people banded together under a fellowship calling themselves a yoke fellow

16:44

out of Indiana started the professor Elden Trueblood. You know what he was what a yoke is would tie two oxen together that they had to go the same direction the little goading once in a while but when they got goaded they still had to head the same direction. So backfiring maybe but the harder they backfire, the harder the goats impregnated to get them go forward. I am not sure. Who does yoke fellow is. Some of the people think it was ephra diatas, who delivered the letter to Philippa. Somebody else thinks it's something else. I believe from context. This was his name. The string up fella. I listened to Wierwille Mr. Wierwille That's awful name. Yo Fellow at least says something. Mr. Yoke fellow. Well, you have it whichever way you like. And the reason of course is because immediately afterwards, he talks about helping those women which labored with him in the Gospel with Clement also. And it would just logically fit my thinking that he his name would be Mr. Yoke fellow. They were to help the women and Mr. Clement was to help and other fellow laborers. The fellow laborers, our fellow workers, fellow strivers. The basic root word means fellow athletes, he makes the meaning of that word, fellow laborers, fellow athletes or fellow team members. Why because they're running for the prize of the high calling. Therefore, it makes the body of believers a team. That's why its fellow laborers, fellow strivers, fellow team members.

19:09

And to run for this prize as a team, you must have one mind that mind must be renewed on the word verse For Rejoice in the Lord, as fellow team members now it says Rejoice in the Lord always. Oh, wait. And again I say do what? That's rejoicing, what is rejoicing? That is joy abounding. Because you can't rejoice the first time the second time. The first time has to be joy. The next time you joy in it, it's rejoicing. And he says we're to joy and rejoice and rejoice and rejoice in hope. The Lord

20:04

as fellow team members, now, very thought let your forbearance moderation is for barons be known unto all men, the Lord is at hand.

20:28

For barons means yielding this. Now here on the surface, it looks like you have an apparent contradiction. Or in verse one, he said, Stand walk. Now, here he says yield. And just as you read this, in the body of the text, your sense knowledge mind if a sharp would say, well, there is an apparent contradiction. When you have an apparent contradiction, you always look in your own mind, do you understand what's written? If you do, and there still is a contradiction and has to be in translation. Well, there is no contradiction here. In translation, as far as the word forbearance or yielding nuts is concerned. You see this yielding? This is not a weak kneed kind of word. Which would mean, like it does to most people today, the world word yielding This means that you comply with anything they want to do just to keep peace in the family at the expense of the word or anything else wouldn't make any difference. But this word does not mean yielding. This does not mean compliance at the expense of the word. Their work could be of long lat mind. It means to be actively, considerate, considerate. Charitable on insignificant points. That's what yielding this means. In other words, we have one mind, but we are loving. You wouldn't just push through your argument. To get you out there. You push through the greatness of the word to get people of one mind. And on other things. You're very charitable, very lenient, very loving, very understanding. Look what that one little word and verse would have done through the years in the church had we believed it and applied it. We just came from an area where a young couple I don't know how old they are ages, you know, someplace beyond 12 At least they have some children. So they have just been excommunicated from their church because they got a television in their house. What do you do with this word? Now, of course, it seems foolish to you to get excommunicated because of a television your house but people just on insignificant things. But I guess if you've got your mind made up, that in order to be a Christian, you can't have a television in the house, and you'll be stubborn on that thing and then I belong to your fellowship and accidentally I get a TV then all I can do is be excommunicated. But where is the gospel people? Don't your heart just break for that kind of stuff because the body is being hurt, Christ is being hurt. Heck, if you got hurt or I got hurt, that's insignificant, but the Lord Jesus Christ, who loved us and gave himself forth he laid down his life. He's the one that made all of it available to us. He is the one that gets hurt and when he gets hurt God the father gets hurt. And hope or what? No yielding this know that that that bird word I gave you as the most tremendous I could think of actively consider it it's not a yielding pneus is not a passive thing. It's an active considerateness character ball on insignificant points. And certainly as far as God is concerned, a television is very insignificant. Earring heritage You name it. Most of the things that Christians think are important or absolutely unimportant to God. Most of the things we don't think about as being important to God are important to me. We are the circumcision who worship him via the Spirit. Those though tonight when I heard speaking in tongues again, that word rings a bell.

25:28

God is a Spirit. They that worship Him must worship him, by way of spirit, which is the truth, John says, and yet people try so many different ways to worship. We have no one mind. No wonder the devil just blows everything apart. Because until you have one mind in a football game, you can't win that game and I don't care how good a football team us you can have great quarterbacks you can grab great halfback, fullbacks everything else that backs up everybody in a football team. But if this fellow wants to play it His way at that fella his way you can never have a winning ballclub. God is like that his words like that. If we're going to have a winning ball club for God, we have to have the same mind the same goal and like a great lens, we drive for that. And we're very yielding very charitable, on insignificant little thing. A real lesson in that word. That's renewed mind. You know how difficult it is. If somebody disagrees with you on something insignificant even then until you've renewed your mind, you still want to push your point through. We're talking today about problems that sometimes come up between husband and wife. I really have never seen anything come up between husband and wife that you that's worth fighting. It's always some insignificant place. Where did he drop his issue? Where did he put his wet umbrella when he didn't have? Or? Why? Why did she not do the dishes at the proper time? Always something insignificant? Yes, when it comes to the greatness of God's word, those little insignificant things, the same thing. That's what they fight about. The word says on those insignificant things, we're very charitable. And yet we stand fast. Now you see, there's no contradiction. It's just the pushing of the one mind to get the body of believers walking with the same renewed mind on God's word. The Lord is at hand. The commentary say that Paul was thinking that Christ was coming back. Right now, the word is the de se is the word producer. But the word producer does not appear in any text. And I do not believe that. Paul was meaning at all, that the Lord was coming back tonight or tomorrow night. But what he was saying to the is, the Lord is at hand. Let your forbearance be known on to all man why because the Lord is right with you. He is at hand. It's the Lord's work we're doing he is with us. That's what I think that verse says in me. Because that's the way it's written. Say the Word says that he is closer to us than hands or feet or even breathing. The Lord is near. He's at hand. Not some far out distant place. We have to pray all night to get through. Here, all right. Now very sick. Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made no. undergo these words, be careful for nothing. Have a real tremendous error in it. Because you would know from what we have just read, we better be careful about something because he's just been telling us in the Word how careful we ought to be in being steadfast in yielding this all these other matters. certainly couldn't turn right around and the word of God say be careful for nothing. Some people like this verse because after they're born again they just do as they please be careful for nothing just do as your full life. That's silly as well This word careful is basically anxious. It is translated take thought. Take thought six times in one chapter in the Gospel of Matthew, take a look at six chapter Matthew.

30:36

Verse 25 625, therefore I say to you take no thought, here it's the same read only in the negative verse 27, which of you by taking thought? Same word. Verse 28, take a thought, you're not sick chapter there from there on it use six times, same word. So be anxious is in the essence of don't have any anxiety but take thought. When you really are thinking on the Word of God, then you'll have no anxiety. Got it. Be thoughtful, be considerate. The words, the English words, distracting the mind are the literal translation of the Greek from which this word here in verse six is derived. It is the exact opposite of the one mind because it's the distracting of the mind. And the distracting of the mind is just the opposite of the one mind. It's the divided mind or a divided understanding of the one mind.

32:28

Take thought, for nothing. For no thing, Be anxious for no thing because you have the one mind. Therefore there is no anxiety.

32:54

take thought for no thing means to take thought for everything. Now that will fit with the word it does not literally mean take no thought for anything. It means as the body of believers pressing on towards the prize of the mark of the high calling. We take thought for everything comes along you take thought for everything by prayer by prayer supplication with thanksgiving, you let your requests be made known on dough. You see if you have that one mind you have no anxiety for anything but you have positive thoughts for everything and you make known these things to the Father through prayer and supplicants people that very sick. First part of that verse is a tremendous handling of the word. And I just expect some of you students to work it down to a fine point. Verse seven. And the peace of God. Well, what is the result of the peace of God? We're talking about practice. The only peace of God the result of the peace of God in a body of believers is when you have one mind how can the peace of God be in manifestation? If I fight you, you fight me and you fight everybody else and we all fight over body. There are no peace there. The peace of God in manifestation in practice among the believers is the result of this one mind. And this piece of God passes all understanding somebody One said it also passes all misunderstanding. And this word passes all understanding the root of it will refer you back to verse six, and those first four or five words in that verse where it deals with the distracted mind, this lawn passes all understanding. Now this peace of God is not a passive resistance. Like so many places in our country today, people cry, peace, peace, peace. And all that their peace is, is either passive resistance or destructive resistance, which they think is in their own prerogative and right to do. The word peace is an active state of being, it is of one mind, that's peace. One mind shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, it shall keep watching your hearts and minds. The heart is the seat of the personal life, the mind is where the decisions are made. Basically, the same thing is referred to just hitting it harder. In your in your seat in your personal life in your mind. This piece of God shall keep. And the word keep. Here is a military term. The word keep means like a military guard protects it with their life. So the peace of God passes all understanding shall absolutely keep, like a military guard your hearts and minds through who dies t. Now that tremendous eighth verse. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think, on these things. The word finally, in our terminology, when we think of the word finally, we think of that which comes less. Now finally, but that's not the usage here. The usage of this word is as to what remains, after all of this, which I've taught you on the practical side of one mind.

37:57

After all of this, that's the word finally. Then he lists eight virtues. After all of this, there remain now these eight virtues.

38:16

Closing up those virtues with that phrase, think on these things. Now, first of all, the word on is not in any text that we scratch, it will start at the back end of this verse and working forward. It's worth the back in first name, we'll go to the word think, in our terminology, generally an art you know, just off the surface surface. When you say to someone, well think on the Word of God, what do you mean? I think it means for most of our people to meditate on it or to think on, and I believe that's why they supplied the word on in the text. But that's not its meaning.

39:05

It means here, to give credit to these things, these eight virtues that are set forth, give credit to those.

39:25

Or how about these things that I've said before you. And other usage is practice these things, practice these things. Those eight virtues to get the one mind in manifestation. Now as to what remains, the first one he lists that we are to practice or give credit to our count. The first one is the word pure. I don't know what Carol and what woman Walter is going to put this, or where he's going to get these things in here, but we'll let them figure it out with Bill maze, how they're going to remember how the beautiful thing of these eights virtues, the first four definitely describe the character of the actions themselves. True, honest, just pure. The first to true and honest are absolute. The other two just and pure are relative. When it comes to the words lovely and have good rapport, in this among these virtues, these are moral approbation. In the category, the one renewed mind, and then virtue and praise, these other two are edit this word true the first one I'm going to have to give you a Greek word. Now I don't want to tonight burden you I've got every Greek word in front of me that's used in every text, but I haven't given them to you because this would be too rough going, because all you need is to understand English. But here we have a word, I can teach it to you the best. If I give you the Greek word for this word true. It is the word spelled al E th O which is the letter A, the first letter A makes it a negative and Letho l e t h o means to be hid H A H Rd. in philosophy, and courses of Religion Philosophy, if you've studied the mystical religions of Rome and of Greece you'll remember that Hades had some rivers flowing through and one of those rivers is called the lazy l e t he or leave the I guess long he would it be Yeah, the longing, the leafy rivers and these mystical waters that flowed through Hades, According to Greek and Roman mythology. These waters whenever somebody got into them, literally blotted out all memory, of joy and grief of good and evil. And this word true in the light of that youth, he is fantastic. The first virtue after all of this, after all of this, brethren count that which is true, true up having wiped out all the past. joy and pain, grief, sorrow, all the negatives of the past. How the greatest of your virtue in the renewed mind in the walk is having all those blotted out. Just live true. We're talking about this essence this new. You never let people bring up their negatives. Because if they bring up a negative, it doesn't solve anything. The positive greatness of the word is what brings the solution.

44:30

And if we have been washed in the border, the Lord Jesus Christ, I'm sure it's better and the rivers of Haiti in Greek or Roman mythology. Isn't that a beautiful usage of the word this word true here is placed directly in opposition to lon Who is a liar or a deceiver. After all of this now, practice truth. Don't be a liar, don't be a deceiver.

45:11

Absolute. Next word is the word Honest. Honest literally means to be venerable, grave, serious, decent. Practice these things, that which is true, that which is decent, ordinary, serious

45:35

or grave. The third, virtue is just whatsoever things are just the word just is willing to give to others that which is there do impartially

46:04

even at the expense of you yourself being defrauded, willing to give all that is due impartially. Now, the fourth of these virtues is the word pure, whatsoever is pure. This word pure is interesting, because, have you ever had met a lady whose name is Agnes

46:37

agnps. That's the word for fuel. That's what the word Agnes means. It means sincerely like being cleared of a charge against you. When you have been totally cleared of a charge against you, the emphasis on the word cleared not on the charge. When you've been cleared, that's the word pure

47:13

then the word lovely whatsoever is lovely. Lovely is to be inclined to being lovely. Friends friendly, agreeable. Sometimes you can get so zealous for God's word that you're totally ruthless and disagreeable. Like I teach the foundational class, you can make yourself so holy, that you're so totally unholy. Nobody can stand you. Right? They might call you Mr. Blunt. Because people sometimes just pride themselves and say, Well, I don't care what you believe. Boy, this is what it has to be. Whether you like it or not, that's it. Well, that's not a very loving way of saying it, that's for sure. You could be all right. But you're all wrong in the way you're approaching it from the one mind virtue point of view. That's what we're developing. Word says were to speak the truth they love. That's the word. Yes. Now, are you school teachers the next grouping, whatsoever things are of good report. And for all students. This usage of good report whatsoever is a good report. I think to the Census mind, it mmediately means well, somebody will say something good about you. Maybe you gave them a dime for a cup of coffee when it was a nickel. But that day is gone longer. The only good thing that got in those machines that we press buttons

49:11

is that hot chocolate that's still halfway decent, I guess that coffee this word, this word good report. Is the word be a blessing. Beautiful. Be a blessing.

49:30

Don't talk about it be one. Whatsoever is a blessing be a blessing. When you go into somebody's home be a blessing when you talk to someone be a blessing when you share the word be a blessing. an entirely different concept than the census knowledge man has. Have a good report

50:00

There's an English word, it's good English. I looked it up in the dictionary just to be sure that

50:09

but it's the word euphemism valid EU pH. E. M is M now that's an English word, you. And that is a direct transliteration into English. So this Greek word good report. And you know what the word means. It means to use a good word for an evil word. To use a good word for an evil word, then I worked it out further. And I discovered that it was a figure of speech that this word euphemism was a figure of speech failed you for me EUPHEMY. And I looked up in my big old Webster and I got two volumes and all the massive things. And Webster forgot to realize it was a bigger speech last month, it's still a bigger speech. And the figure of speech is literally means the same thing where you change that which is unpleasant to words that are pleasant.

51:31

That's really something. I think my tendency many times is to change the words that are really unpleasant, instead of changing from unpleasant to pleasant, and this euphemism is where you deliberately change words that ordinarily would be unpleasant to Pleasant words. And we have these in the Bible. So beautifully presented, and I'm going to share two or three with you tonight. But there are many more. And it's just something that blesses my heart, because it just indicates again, the divine inspiration of Scripture. If manda said it, he just said it his own. Well, you know, hard driving way. But God in Revelation takes a bad situation and uses good words. But he tells it like it is. But he uses a good word. To replace evil word or to change. What is unpleasant to being pleasant? But it's Corinthians, you don't have to look it up. I just give you these. You'll find others in the Word. In first Corinthians chapter 12, we teach it every time the foundational class. Remember in that scripture where it says, are uncommonly parts. That's a euphemism. He is talking about sex organs. But instead of saying Playboy magazine, sex organs are worried that God uses a euphemism and says, I'm calmly parts. There's one in Samuel in First Samuel. This one I did not know till the bishop taught it to me. It really was something I just never knew what it meant. But bless the bishop. He understood this euphemism he understood it from an oriental point of view, because he said we would never be as grotesque as you are in the United States. Over here, when you're working in a hospital or your work, some other place they talk about having a BM that means bachelor of bowel movement. That's what the Bible would never say it that way. They use a euphemism in First Samuel and it says that Samuel and David went abroad that doesn't mean they went to Europe. But isn't that beauty full of the word that's why I said you change unpleasant situations to Pleasant routes.

54:37

It's really something how that you I want to read one to you from judges. You know, you grow up speaking To get knowledge of a lot of things.

55:04

Years and years ago when the bishop and I or bishop had showed me this and we went through the word in a special group meeting one evening one got real angry in the fellowship because they thought we were being unkind by showing this. Well, if that is unkind when the Word of God says to go abroad, what's unkind? When I hear somebody talking in a hospital about a BM? It seems to me that bowel movement certainly is a lot. Worse. Don't get mad about they get mad about everything. Now what was I going to show you from Judges, chapter three. Chapter Three. Some of these euphemisms in the Bible are just fabulous. They're just right down to earth. But they've so beautifully stated, you know exactly what they mean. They just don't quite say it. Like you thought it might have been say it, but they say it much more beautifully than you thought they might have been.

56:23

Here in I mean, Judges chapter three Oh, verse 24. When he was gone out, his servants came in when they saw that Behold, the doors of the parlor were locked.

56:54

His bedroom were locked. They said Surely he covered his feet in his summer chamber, covered his feet very beautiful. That simply means he was going to the bathroom. That trap because in the Bible, they the men wore these long flowing skirts and whenever they went to the bathroom, it covered their feet. So that's how they use what if somebody would do that while literally you know, without knowing it's a figure of speech, he'd really come up with a doodoo it's even told you it was summertime. He didn't cover his feet to keep his tootsies warm. You know, I didn't turn on the electric blanket. This is euphemism. That's this. That's that tremendous word. Good Report. I hope you're seeing the great in depth beauty of that wonderful word among the virtues. That's the thing we practice we hold on to Genesis 15. Verse 15, and thou shall go to thy fathers in what he's now there is a euphemism once he says the man is going to die but instead of saying he's going to die says he's going to the father to his father's in what

58:45

pardon? The great one that beautifully saved. We walk out and we see somebody definitely take whatever he's gonna die.

58:57

The Word of God would say he's going to his father in verse nine. The small bow is and he said boys said who are taller and she answered, I am Ruth I'm handmade spread there for a dice skirt over dine handmade for thou art in near kinsmen a relative spread there for a dice skirt over dine handmade does not mean what the commentaries would have us to believe that Boaz took advantage of her and she had invited him sexually it doesn't mean that the spread spread. Therefore dice skirts over dine handmade means to take. Will you please take me as your wife to you that's the meaning of this good report in Philippians how it Think you'll have an in depth appreciation of that root good report. That's a good report I'm making. It's It's a delicacy of expression regarding a difficult subject. Sometimes I thought if I were translating this, I would translate it, wind, some attractiveness.

1:00:30

Good report. Now, we come to the last two, virtue and pray I know that the common thinking is, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things, but I want to challenge you, along this line virtue because I think there is an in depth truth here that has been missed many, many times.

1:01:05

This word virtue in the Latin is the word Dir. And it means man of valor. And I believe that that is its meaning here. If if any power the A LLR. The word praise, commendation if any Bauer any commendation, give credit, up there is a man of valor here and the commendation of this man of valor will give credit to that which is pure, honest, just all of those which are listed as virtues in First Peter chapter one got to be second peers. There it is. First, Peter, our second Peter chapter one, give us another list of virtues for the believer. And if I were working, Second Peter with you, I would show you again it's in the category of renewed mind. As to what remains, when it comes to practice, once you've been taught the greatness of Gods now, what remains in practice is that you give credit or you add here, or your practice those things which are true, which are honest, which are just which are pure, which are lovely, which are of good report, which are a valor, which are the commendation, on how to walk. Peters sets them here in chapter one, verse five, some virtues and besides this giving all diligence add to your believing virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge, temperance, and to temperance patience, and to patience godliness and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, charity, which is the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. Verse eight, or if these things be in you, our way of renewed mind and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's when these virtues are in operation. You are neither barren nor unfruitful which means that you are producing fruit. You are manifesting the one mind the love of God in the one mind, in the body of believers. Well, now that's all the further I'm going to take you tonight in Philippians, four and just closed with things from First Peter, do you have any questions you want to ask? Regarding what I've taught tonight from Philippians?

1:04:59

It's a great interview F word is now you see, I don't expect our people across the country to work the word like we work it here with you tonight. But that's all right. We work it here you utilize it, you put it, you put it in your Bibles, then you teach it to others and then we practice it. We've got to get this one mind among the body of believers.

1:05:25

Yes, John? Same great. Yeah, be great. Yeah, same word. The word is samknows. Sem and Alaska is the Greek word.

1:05:54

God expects the people with the one mind as they walk to be serious in their walk, you know, decent in their walk, grave in their walk dead. Does that mean long faced without any joy? But the joy is a bounding. But you're still serious about this one mind. That's what the word

1:06:22

honest. Okay, good. Anyone else on anything? I think you will find the concluding section of this fourth chapter next Sunday evening.

1:06:41

Very, very enlightening in the renewed mind and in the walk Cubby. Because now he has just finished those great things that we are to practice. And now he'll take us into God's word and show us exactly what we can do in practice. Like that 13th Verse, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And next week, we'll be into the depth of all of those. We began ethereal last Sunday, which is most unusual. Those of you who received the place that are weak will know what I'm talking about. Because I've been wanting to teach Philippians chapter four, in a greater depth to the body of believers than I have taught him before, perhaps because of my own enlarged understanding. But I thought specifically, in order to bless our people who are concerned about the greatness of the word and some of the in depth accuracy with which it is said. And last Sunday evening, I covered the first in Colossians, it is like covered like well, it wasn't a tan leather covering flip one through eight good. I better know where I'm going. And when to sell the product.

1:08:21

I was thinking of a while ago, I guess this is why some of these Colossians passages were slipping up through my mind, of the greatness of that word that is addressed to the church. I've worked in research many, many years. And every time I teach the foundational class, I'm already teaching the week after next time this stuff is in my mind, I know exactly where I'm going. And those things I teach them over and over to people and every time I teach, I get just as excited about the worried as I was the time before because it's just fabulous. It's just tremendous. Someone said here today asked me wonder how I could stand here because it's so spiritually high. Well, sometimes you just ask God to turn it off for a while. That side. And I'm really many times real thankful for Monday, because on Monday, I just started trying to float through the early morning hours and gradually get back to picking up momentum as we go along. But I think this is wonderful. If you didn't reach the mountaintop here. If this was not the place where the greatness of that word gelled, there would be no spiritual heat, no rights, no great power moving in all of our lives as we go back into the communities that we represent. And Philippians as you know is addressed to the church to correct the practical Are the practice of errors that had crept into the trust, and to set forth how the church is to practice the greatness of the power of God. This is this record in God's word here in Philippians. Closing last week with the eighth verse, we begin them tonight with the nine. Those things which are both learned and received, and heard and feeding me do, and the God of peace, shall be with you. These words, now from here on through the rest of the chapter, are closely associated with both the doctrine and practice. Doctrine is right believing, and practice is a practicing of that, right believing. And there are four things mentioned in that verse, if you only have noticed, those things would get both lots learned, received, heard and learned, receive, heard and see. And if we do that which has been given before in the word, the God of peace shall absolutely be wire with you. This is the same truth as in verse five. The line is near. We worked at last week, our verse seven where it says, And the peace of God. In in verse nine, the God of peace, shall be with you, the individual Christian believer who appropriates unto himself, this word of God is really blessed. For this, individual believers stand absolutely independent of circumstances. Because they have placed their complete dependence on God, and the accuracy of his words. And when we place our dependence completely upon God and the accuracy of his words, we become independent of all men. As the Scriptures say, in the Old Testament, we're not to lean on the arm a man, or lean onto your own understanding. What the word here is saying in Philippians is that we as born again, believers are to put God first and believe God's word stand on God's word. And it said, believing of God's word, which makes us independent of the environment or the circumstances, or people will pull away around the word but our very theme is like, I don't want to forget this idea, you know, but now before I forget this, let me say this to you. It doesn't particularly set in contrast that which follows but it's an unusual use. They didn't the word of the word, but I don't know what Donna ran doing keys to research, while they're common, will make auto what I'm going to say but it's their problem. But the essence is, I just can't forget to tell you this.

1:13:57

I rejoice in the Lord greatly. That now at last your care of me have flourished again. We're in you are also careful. But the last opportunity. This word care in verse 10, and the word careful are really an operation of the will and of the affections. I rejoice in the Lord greatly. That now as the last. Your affection for me have flourished again. We're in the we're also affectionate. Back to last opportunity. This is that the depth of it? It's like a thought you know where someone has done something nicely. I noticed it tonight. Where or this afternoon were at the supper table where Mrs. Wierwille had forgotten to overlooks he hadn't forgotten, he's just when it sometimes comes to thanking people who you're going to thank everybody ought to be thanked, I guess. And so when you begin to pick them out, you may forget to thank the hostess. And then after it's about all over with, then you do the same thing, but I just can't forget to thank Betty. So, the affection is there. This have flourished again. Those words have flourished again. Now, the last your affection for me as flourished again. The same basic words that are used in the Septuagint in a particular 1724, where it says, cause the tree to fly to flurry cause that it says dry tree, I think it is an easy kill 1724 Cause the dry tree to flourish. This is the same truth. When a tree is dry, it isn't necessarily dead. It's like it's Darman in the fall of the year. Then in the spring, it leaves and its fruits come forth. Again. This is what had happened in the early church. This is not a derogatory teaching of Paul, it's not Paul raising hell with the beat Paul. Paul is not belittling the people, most of the commentary indicating what Paul was upset that they weren't supporting him. That was it, if I get this truth from those words have flourished again. By checking its use, they previously remember how we teach them the foundation applies. And that's a dry tree. And the tree has again flourished because the rains came. And sometimes in people's lives, even though they want to help with the ministry that can help as much as it can. And other times we have in this auditorium as we have across the country. Many times, people in different professions, different businesses that I'm thinking about farmers, for instance, many times their income varies according to the season. And so these verses are very beautiful, because they're so practical. They're right down in worth the right teaching is the practice by the people. And he says in verse 11, not that I speak in respect of one, five learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content, those last four words are unforgiving. Nobody should ever learn to be content in the state in which he is if he's living below par. So it certainly couldn't mean that God doesn't want us to be content in the state where we are. But if you are content in the state where you are, you're on stage to be content be an unsaved. And that doesn't fit. Let's handle first of all, the word learned. There are three different types of learning in the Bible. And these are in practice in your life fluid in mind. There is learning that we get from a book called book learning.

1:18:49

Then there is learning that we get from somebody who grabs has studied the best, and so forth, has worked it down. And he teaches it to us is learning via direct teaching. That's the second use of the words learned in the Bible. And the third one is learning by experience where you yourself have experiences. You see someone you could read, for instance, Romans 10, nine and 10. Right? That'd be book learning. If you opened it to Romans 10, nine and 10 and I taught Romans 10, nine and 10. That's teaching learning. Now if you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, that's experiential learning. It is the third use of the word learning that you hear in this great 11th Verse briary far, not that I speak in respect of on Thrive learning by experience, I've been there, it's just not taught. It's not just Yackin shooting off the top of your head, but I've been named, where I have learned the tremendous things you know, book learning, that text is the word in the text is drama, in which we get the English word, grammar, gra MMA. The, the word for teaching is the dots skill from which we get didactic, which means teaching. And default. The word for experience is the root word which is translated disciple, every place in the New Testament. And the word of course, is Montano. Monsanto is a disciple, because the disciple can't be one who just has lots of learning. It can't be one who just has been taught, he has to be one who has experienced that one who has done know how the knowledge that he knows that he knows that he knows, for instance, that he's born again, failed, where the spirits can operate manifestations of the spirits. So it's just a terrific how that 11th Very set there on that word, alert, Bob learned. You know, Hebrews, chapter five. The comparison is tremendous. Verse eight, Hebrews five, eight talking about the Lord Jesus Christ, Though He were a Son gets learned, he obedient by the things which he wants. That's the same way by experience, the experiential learning. You see, when I put all of this together, Jesus Christ is a complete savior, right? Had he only had book learning? Could he have saved us? Had he only had this teaching? Could he have us? He is our Savior to the uttermost. So there is nothing you'll ever find in the Word of God class, nowhere Will you ever find anything in the way of God's Word, Jesus Christ did not fully fulfill the whole thing. Even here, along the lines have learned. I've learned in whatsoever state if it said standing, wouldn't quite work. Because the Apostle Paul knew that his standing within the household was one of the Son of God. But he also had learned that he is standing when it times fluctuates, would depend upon the fruitfulness of these people, would depend upon many different things, but his standing would always be one of a son of God. Therefore, he says prod learn by experience, whatever state I am in, I am I self adequate is the tech. Just tournament I've learned a lot ever say I am in I am self adequate. Why is he self adequate? Because his standing is one of a lot, Son of God.

1:23:42

And if our standing is one of the Son of God, no matter how unworthy we have been, he has made us less worthy than we are what the Word says we are. We have what the Word says we have. Therefore, we are felt adequate. One of the translations, which did very beautifully, and I don't recall which translation it is, but it says, I am self sufficient in Christ, the patient that's beautiful. I am self sufficient in Christ sufficiency. While our sufficiency is not of ourselves, as the Word says, it is up to him. Though that 11th verse speaks with a very Clarion type of call to any believers, saying to that believers, not that I speak in respect of want, for I've learned in whatsoever state I am, I am self sufficient in the sufficiency which Christ has given me

1:25:02

It was interesting to me as I worked out some of the Greek and stuff in here. And as I told you last Sunday, I won't bother you with a Greek. I give these notes to Walter and let the Greek department work that out in the depths, because they like to do that. And it's wonderful. This self sufficiency, this word, self sufficiency, as far as I have been able to trace it is used in secular literature tour regarding a nation be so self sufficient, that no imports are necessary. That means that it does all of its own producing for watch at ease within itself. That's the word that sufficiency, no imports necessary? Well, when I think of that, it just says, the young people say it blows my mind. But it's true, because Christ is where you're not a while how sufficient is price? Do you need any more imports? It seems to me that these people are always looking for a second or a third worker grace or something else must have missed some blessings, if they would have taken a look at the word for how can you have more? How can you have a second grader thing, if you have got the greatest thing God ever gave his only begotten Son, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

1:26:50

This is why verse 12 says, I know both how to be a bass. I know how to abound, everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full, to be hungry, both are bound and to suffer, needs. He has been there he has experienced it. And the word instructed is the word that's used in pagan religions, when you have been initiated, to the highest degree of that religion, and in order to be initiated, you have to go through all the stages of the degree, you know, first, second, third, whichever way you go, whatever they have been initiated. He's been there, the word instructed bonus 13. I can do what all things I can do. I can do. It's not I hope to do. But because the price efficiency within us, I can not I hope or maybe someday I can rot nail. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me not tremendous. It's like in the Epistles where it says, His mighty power. The word Mighty is the same as I can do it. Verse 30. The reason we can do is because of his mighty power, or as it translates in another place, the power of his mic night by the minds that God has given us which is Christ, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. One of the translations translated as follows and I think it is absolutely beauty.

1:29:35

I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him, who infuses inner strength into me. I'll give you that translation. Again. I'm ready for anything and equal to anything through here him who infuses inner strength into me in our thing along the way there is that one hymn I'll just read you the second verse, As it is, in the old church hymnal rise up all men are God. The church for you duck, wait. It's tap. It's strange. It's true strength on equal to the tough way to be weighed in on Canvas strength be on equal to the past. If I have learned in whatsoever state I am I am self adequate in the sufficiency process have given me and I'm ready for anything and everything through him to infuse this inner strength into me. How can you be ready for anything and everything and still singing that old church and know our strength on equal to the task? We rewrote the words and in the rarity for him, no. It says, Rise up all men of God, the church for you duck lays its strength is equal to its past, rise up and make it great. That makes it agree with the word. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The emphasis has to be on I can do it. Most people reading around for somebody else to do it, you know, let the preacher do it. Let's pray a neighbor do it. That's my husband do it Let's go live to do is never done. Don't worry is always direct to the individual believer who is to practice the presence of God and His sufficiency. Namely, I can do it, I can do it. Why this certainly was like a great sale throughout the whole women's advantage that the women have to go back to their communities in their shops and factories and schools, homes wherever they are, and they carry the Word of God, I can do it. I can do it by the power that God has infused within me when he gave me Christ that is in Christ, a wonderful Savior, a complete savior. Therefore, we have all in him. That tremendous things. It's one of the great truths that ought to just stirred people have all of the greatest depth. They could just believe, notwithstanding verse 14, notwithstanding you have well done that he did I communicate with my affliction. Is I trouble? No, no. It's really the second time he mentioned that. You know, he thanked them. Then he turns right around and thank them again. He says you have well done that you did communicate with me or with me? The way they're flexing his pressures of life. They communicated with him and they alleviated the pressures of our life. Maybe you bought a new suit, I don't know. Maybe you went out and had a turkey dinner. But the pressures of life? Well, any man of God, any woman of God that's really out there serving full time, just doing nothing but the Word, the Word, the Word and God gives some responsibilities of the ministry in the body. The practice of life, you'll get into, it's guaranteed in the word, dry and any of us who have lived a few years know that these pressures come upon people. Now he thank God that the people have communicated with him regarding the pressures of life in very 15. Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I started preaching, in other words, when I departed from Macedonia. No church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but he wants. He certainly loves them. If he this is why when you work in any context, he wasn't bawling the people out. He was just praising the Lord. He was thanking the Father for how this church had stood with him. And he knew that there were times when they couldn't care as much as they had shared before because of the dryness of the season. Therefore, he was glad to see again, that's a fruitful that denier lives were abounding. In verse 16, he says, are evil in Cecil, Annika, he sent one cent again, onto my nice tetapi you see the word affliction nice acity. All of these go together. There are words that have appeared here in the fourth chapter of Philippians. Words like, want, need. And these people are standing with the apostle Paul in the ministry had said once and again that does that mean twice. That means faithfully over and over and over again. It's a it's an oriental ism. He sent one and again is an oriental is a meeting faithfully, consistently all the time? I suppose any of us men of God would be very thankful even if someone said occasionally. But that's not the way God has to work. How does it work? When we have when we're running for the prize with the mind of Christ, there is not that you just stand one, but that you faithfully stand with the ministry, as the tree flourishes. And then it comes with a great 70s Verse. Not because I desire the word desire is emphasized in this word in this verse, because it's a repetition of the same words doubled twice, to put the home there the emphasis, not because I desire a gift, but I want desire, fruit, that may have bound to your account. The word desire is translated other places to seek earnestly not because I think earnestly a gift from you, but I desire earnestly that this may occurred that it may have bound to your outcome. The apostle Paul is saying in the word in practice. If he didn't have the money to build a dormitory, he do without it. If he had it, he would know what. That's it. Now we've got to learn this walk and quit griping. Dry, because people do we have Christ in us. One more we want. He is our all sufficiency. Then if the body of believers has typed and then they respond, that the abundance of the ministry will be there the pressures of life will be delivered alleviated for the man of God or for his people. That's true. But if they're not, Paul says, I've learned that in any situation, I'm always lucky. Because in spite of those material things, the word was still there. And it's the word that's all important. The word and nothing but the word that's the important. The rest is just added blessing. And the blessing is I did not have proof to your account, he said so that God can multiply material things But the beat there is no other place where the material things are set so beautifully in practice, as they are here very tasty. But I have all antibiotics, I am full, having received epididymis, that things which were same from you, and odor of a sweet meal. A sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing is saying not only am I full, I'm overflowing. And I really just couldn't hardly imagine many years ago when I first saw this, that God would by revelation, use the same words regarding the material and gifts in the ministry. It takes the pressures of life off of the minister and the man of God in the church. It's so forth. He uses that same word here in verse 18. As the use of the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Samaria, chose them to unity and justify led by capaces. This may not have been knowledgeable to you either, but it is certainly most just bless our hearts when you see the greatness of this. You if he's in chapter five verses, and walk in love his price, also have lots loved us, and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet Melling saver. Something Ephesians five two. I'm also reminded of the second verse of the fourth chapter of Philippians, which we discussed last week, those two ladies in that second verse that first lady, why odious? Is the word sweet male. Perhaps that's the word we get the word odor from. I odd.

1:42:46

I don't. But I know the word means sweet smell. And remember what I taught regarding those two ladies, that they be of the same mind in home. That's a sweet smile. That's what Dale Duncan presented. So amiably this afternoon, when he said to the ladies that he reported about the weight core and its representation and so forth. When he said that everybody who believes God's word is in the white core, whether they like it or whether they don't. And that we are to be of one mind to form a great web, to split brought by also making get that out of the outside and all our people are within the confines of that one mind move of God's Word. He presented it so beautifully. Then we are a three male, they sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing unto God. Remember, in the foundational class, I teach that this is our religious service. It says reasonable in the book of Romans doesn't. And I tell you that the word reasonable is religious. This is our service, our religious service, our practicing of the presence of God in our life.

1:44:23

And in verse 19 But my God shall supply all your needs, according to his poverty, know, according to his riches in go raise five crises. The word mind in this verse is very expressive. In essence, he is saying you are supplied my needs. And my wants. God on my behalf now will supply you just a month or so ago, a Christian believer, he said to me that it didn't work.

1:45:30

Well, if it doesn't work, nothing's wrong. God has to be wrong or the fellow sided The reason it doesn't work is because they haven't worked it. Because this verse 19 is conditional. It's conditional. The conditions are very clear. You supplied, oh, my one, the Word says, Now, God on my behalf will supply yours. It doesn't work the other way around. People sometimes think well, if they tied, then God on something, no, you your your share that and then just know you've met the condition, open your hands, and God will return it.

1:46:27

It's conditional. It's see God is no man's death or God never trips out. He doesn't say a lot. I may fail him by his word, never a lot failed.

1:46:48

Cast all your tap on him for he wants carrots for you. This is the practice. This is the walk. This is what we have to engineer in our lives, we must walk forward with it. This is the same basic truth that he's setting here that he said in Galatians chapter six in verse six, led him that is taught in the word communicate on to him that teach us in all good words. They Be not deceived. God is not what for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also was read that it's the law. Definitely not people take this out of context, like to do everything else. Anything to find an excuse. So we don't have to do what God says. They read it as if it says, Your communicate onto him that teach us in all good things. Like as if you will give the man of God money, but you wouldn't give any money to pay for the electricity. That's right. We have people in the way ministry all the time. If if they could give me the money, and they knew that I'd take it and use that they'd give it but they don't think we need this building. They don't think we need the mobile home. So they never do. Oh, bless God, they're the losers. We're not because I know we are self adequate. Da da. That's right. They're the ones that are missing the blessing. We are because God can't bless them until they want. That's right. Do you think God is in debt to any man who loves him and who serves him? Oh, no. He knows. But they take that you know that verse where it says like him that is taught in the word communicate on to him that teaches in all good things. And he's talking about material things. But like how my ministry here like Walters, like Dale's, like a lot of our people across the country. Well, if you gave me the money, I'd have paid the government right. I don't need it. I mean, all I need is to have my needs met us but the ministry needs the money right? The ministry needs the mobile home. The ministry needs the electricity the ministry needs the heating air conditioning not to goodness place to not the time to hot maybe it's because a cup of code on thinking about temperature in Miami last night. I must be very careful how I formulate these words of mine or I may just be the dog.

1:50:09

I said last night, that of all the ladies at the advanced, no one would need to burn a candle for any of them in the next year, I guarantee because they had 212 lighted candles in the dining room downstairs. I don't know what proportion that is per person. But that's a good long candle plus. And I don't know if anybody else was warm. But I thank God I didn't have to speak. It was beyond my endurance point. And of course, when it gets beyond 60 that reaches that position. So I was telling somebody, I think it was Mrs. The width, was trying to point to be in such a way to take your coat off. He couldn't like tell me by words, but I could read the sign language. And of course being decent and in order with you ladies, I couldn't afford taking the coat off last night next gala banquet affair we had and I wouldn't have suffered. But you know, I got the big gig last night, we have negotiated for an air conditioning system totally just for that basement area. And I think it's supposed to be installed in February sometime. So we could have 150 Ladies down there 150 Man, and I can turn that air conditioning on and bring her down to where you're comfortable. That's, well, aha, you gotta have that. If unless somebody reads into the ministry much, something bigger than just an individual's Oh, my goodness, and individuals. My life individually means very low. But it says we who are call of God arguably servants on to all men. Our ministry has to be of service to everybody. And that's what the Apostle Paul is saying. It is. The reason it was communicated to Paul is very simple. The same reasons many times communicated to me, men or women give me an offering. I don't keep it, I put it in a ministry. That's what's called it. But if my ministry gets the word moving, move out, his knees were very small in many respects, I can read it in the word view. Paul sent word down to somebody wants to be said, Just don't forget, the only two things I need my coat and the parchment, the words. That's all I thought it was solid. Because really, when a man is honest, his needs are relatively. Especially if we say out of the greed category. And he has supply He has promised to supply all of our wants, needs. Therefore, the the pressures of life that build up is like Paul said, he had the care of the churches, and all you know, the gaps alight, and all that other stuff. That's the process. And he thanked us, man. It's just unbelievable how he thanked God, that these people had ministered to him time and time again. And now since the season was there again, he thank God, they were communicating with him again. And it was set to their account. Because they communicated to the ministry. God said, because you did this to my work. Therefore my God shall supply your need according to His riches and glory by Christ. It sounds like Second Corinthians two please. Second Corinthians chapter nine. Take a look at that. Second Corinthians chapter nine. Look at verse six in this tremendous chapter I mean, First Corinthians Second Corinthians is where I want to go chapter nine. Look at this. Very thick. But first I'd say he would so it sparingly shall repose for what and he would still bounce a belief shall reap also what every man according as he purposes in his heart so let him give not grudgingly on the subsidy for God love and they want your a guy can be a long face solid put, give her the law again is broken because God loves a lot. Careful. That's right. That's what I mean at times when you've heard me say while if the meeting doesn't mean anything to you when the offering plate is pass, help yourself to what you think they got come If we cannot give cheerfully I'd rather people keep it because I know that can't be set to their account.

1:55:10

And it's not that I desire a gift at all that we desire up through, we decide a fruit in people's lives. That's the ministry in your community, you should desire to see the fruits. We have people, many places in the past at least, and still some today across the country who have meetings who have area fellowship, and they never give the people an opportunity to share with the ministry. I think sometimes we might think it's a disgrace God's people what the disgrace is, if you don't ask them, How can God bless His people and the people are not by the leadership, given an opportunity for God to bless. I expect this to be a tremendous week for our people. Why? Because it's been a tremendous week in their sharing here. During the lemons advanced tonight, when my people come on Sunday night, they leave during the week, I expect God to bless my people. I can pray that way. Because the word has given us the authority. And when I pray that along the line a lot the words say of God answered his prayers, or the prayers of the believers, because he's faithful to his one word. You see it running and running for the prize, which we covered last week, the prize of the high calling, or the upward calling for getting those things which are past and pressing on toward the mark of the upward or the high calling this mind, this mind, which is in Christ Jesus must be in evidence in practice. If we want to receive that prize, that he had technical, that's a great teaching of this latter part of the season. And then he closes it out. I closed the Bible already because I better open it just to read it to you. I know it's from Emory. Now under God and our Father be what forever and ever. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are great me are with me great to all the saints total kill. Even those are chiefly they that are about Caesar's household, he got right under their nose as a Roman emperor and dug them out. And that tremendous 23rd Verse, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the be with you all. That wonderful the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to be with you. The grace is there anything else but all of grace, for God, so loves that he gave, not of works, lest any man should walk. It's all a break. This is, at least in part, the greatness of the fourth chapter of Philippians. Now, do you have any questions you want to? Long any line that I taught the night? Last Sunday is over that night? Isn't it a wonderful record? i You take that word like I've taught you with the notes you've made. And you read that fourth chapter and put this thing in your heart and see, like that greatness I can do all things through Christ, who what, who is tribe who infuses his strength within me and that beautiful. Those of us who know the operation, the manifestations know exactly how this operates. And in every situation, I am self adequate because of Christ. The patients that just think of what this is going to do for us this week. In every situation where it's self adequate because of the adequacy has given us. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me who infuses strength. This well, they are tremendously because it's already established, according to God's words. Now it's our believing that brings it into fruition.
