First Thessalonians chapter four, you know, tomorrow beginning or really tonight, I suppose, the class on tongues interpretation of prophecy, technically you get into it tomorrow was thinking about the difference between the manifestation of tongues, and the other eight manifestations. The other eight manifestations you know, the great principle involved is God's Spirit teaches your spirit, which teaches your mind. And then you see the manifestation as you act upon it right? God's Spirit must teach your spirit which teaches your mind. And then you act. Whereas in the manifestation of tongues, it bypasses the mind. That's the lucky one, though, that's the one where it builds up your spirit. And when we speak in tongues, we know from God's word, we've got the proof in the census world that we have Christ within us, right. And when you've got Christ within us, within you, you've got something, don't you? In First Thessalonians chapter four. Starting in verse 13, we begin here a subject, which terminates the administration, which we're currently in the one big key, you have to watch one of the big keys I should say, in Rightly dividing, the word is watching to whom it is addressed, right, to whom it's written, whether it's written to the Jew, or to the Gentile, or to the Church of God. Now, before the day of Pentecost, they only had Jews and Gentiles. So it could only be addressed to one of two groups. But since the day of Pentecost, we have a third group, the Church of God, right. And we, in looking for things that concerns are specifically related to the church, we must go to those epistles and so on, that are addressed to the church. First Thessalonians is one of those books. And in First Thessalonians, again, I say we find the record of what what happens at the termination of this particular administration. When the Church of God is gathered together with Christ, to meet him in here, let's read it first. Thessalonians 413 But I would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, or concerning them, which are asleep, that she sorrow not, even as others which have no one. And if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again, even so them also which sleeping Jesus, well God, bring with him. For this, we say unto you, by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. And of course, the word prevent is the old English word meaning to precede, we shall not precede those which are asleep, those which are asleep in Christ, he says, When Christ returns for the church is going to gather them, those which are asleep first, and then those of us who are alive and remain who are in Christ, who have Christ within us are born again. And so shall we. Which it says we shall not precede them which are asleep. They'll get up first, then we'll join Him in the air and verse 16, For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then, after the dead in Christ have been risen, than raise, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Isn't that wonderful? And verse 18, says, Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Now, isn't that something to look forward to? But how do you know you're going to be there?

04:44

Well, the Bible says, When you speak in tongues, you've got the proof of Christ within those. It says that when you're born again of God's Spirit, you have Christ in you the hope of glory. And if you have Christ in you It can't see it. You can't smell it or anything. It's in there. It's spirit, isn't it? You can't touch spirit. But because it's in there, we have the manifestations that come out into the senses world. And when you speak in tongues, one of the nine manifestations, you've got the proof in the world that you've got Christ in there, right? And chapter five, he says, But, but does what sets it in contrast to that which went before? So apparently, we're switching horses. Here we're jumping on the other one. We, we ended with the gathering together for the church, but of the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. Why? Well read on, don't guess. For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord, the day of the Lord, the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Now, the gathering together is not the day of the Lord. The the gathering together is called in the Bible, the day of Christ, the day of Christ. Well, let's look at First Corinthians, keep your finger here we'll be right back First Corinthians one.

06:41

Verse seven so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the coming of who. And this is addressed to the church. So it's coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for the church. Verse eight, who shall also confirm you unto the end, blameless in the day of our what? Lord Jesus Christ, the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, referring to the gathering together. Now after the gathering together begins, or the after the day of Christ begins, what the Bible refers to as the Lord's day. Look at while we're looking around and keep your finger and Thessalonians Yeah, but look at Philippians Philippians.

07:39

Philippians chapter one. Philippians one, verse six, Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work and you will perform it until when the day of Jesus Christ, in other words, it will not terminate until Christ returns for the church. Look at verse 10, that you may approve things which are excellent, that you may be sincere and without a fence until when the day of Christ look at chapter two, verse 16. Holding, holding forth the word of life, that I may rejoice, Paul says that I may rejoice in when the day of Christ, which is future, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain, back to Thessalonians. You see, the gathering together is called the day of Christ. After the day of Christ, then after the gathering together, comes the day of the Lord. And that's what he's talking about here in First Thessalonians chapter five, verse two, For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night, where's the church going to be when the day of the Lord comes? It'll be there. Ready? See. It'll already be gathered together. This day of the Lord. Look, keep your finger here again and look at Revelation. Better have good fingers tonight because we're going to do a lot of running in the Word. Revelation chapter one. Verse 10, I was in the spirit when on The Lord's day, in her behind me a great voice as a trumpet. I was in the spirit when, on the Lord's day, the Lord's day or the day of the Lord, not Sunday, but referring to that time in the future when Christ comes back to Israel, and so on, and the others. But the gathering together is called in the Bible, the day of Christ, after the day of Christ begins the Lord's day or the day of the Lord, when he comes back in judgment. It's also called The Day of Wrath, the day of vengeance. And so this is where remembering it when Jesus in Luke was quoting Isaiah, he read from the scroll Isaiah of this when he first began his ministry, and he read the first part of the verse, the first part of the section there, and where he came as the Savior. But he did not read the part that's said, where he came to deliver wrath or vengeance, whatever the words that were used in that place, because that was what future Yep, still future. All right, the day of the Lord is future. And this is when Christ returns to Israel, the church will already be gathered together. Now back in First Thessalonians. Verse 252, For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night, and again the church will already be gathered together. So they had no need that Paul write to them concerning the times and seasons. So on. Verse three, for when you shall say must be asleep tonight. When they shall say not you, you are the church, when they they when you get them out, when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comments upon you. Them sorry. No, I'm not sorry. Glad I'm not there. sudden destruction come with upon them not upon you, the church, but upon them, referring to Israel and so on in the future others.

12:39

as travail upon a woman with child, and you shall not they, they they they write, they shall not escape, they shall not escape, but they know, I want you. But you, brethren, I just can't read tonight. You brethren, are not in darkness, that that day, what day the day of the Lord should overtake you as a thief, ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day, we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleeping the night, but they that be drunken are drunken in the night. And let us who are the day be sober, putting on the breastplate. breastplate of faith in love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. Verse nine, For God has not appointed us to read, what is the wrath referring to the day of the Lord. He has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together and edify one another even was also you do, what comfort would there be in it? If we were going to be in the wrath and we knew it wouldn't be much comfort at all with there. But he says comfort one. He says, though he has not appointed us to what wrath got For God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation. obtain salvation not to grab a look at chapter one. Verse 10. It says to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the den with me. chapter one verse 10. To wait for his Son from heaven, whom he has raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us to wrath Nope. delivered us from wrath from wrath. He has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation in the Lord, not beautiful. We're not going to be there, we're going to be gathered together, the dead in Christ shall get up first than they which are alive and remain shall be gathered up together, to meet him in the year. That's the day of Christ, after the church has been gathered together, then begins the day of the Lord with which the Book of Revelation, parts of the Gospels are to Joel, Daniel, Jeremiah, in other books are concerned, the day of wrath, which is still future does not pertain to the church. This is called in the Bible, the administration of grace and grace, it is because God did so much for us in this administration. It's not of works lest any man should boast. Whereas in other administration's they had to do work. They had to work. That's right. But in this administration, it's of grace. And because it's of grace. You've God not only saved you by grace, but he gave you power. And because it is of grace. And thank think what I what I can't think of it just Bay. You're gonna see it in a little bit. Well, no, I won't say it. I'll wait till we get to it. But it's so big what God did. Just think of it. Christ in you the hope of glory. Remember, Colossians chapter one, verse 27. It's Christ in you the hope of glory. Now, if you have Christ in you, then you've got something. How else can I say, you've got something you've got power, look what Christ did when he was upon Earth. Sure. And he said, the works that I do, ye shall do also and greater works than these because I go to my father, which isn't heaven. Christ in you the hope of glory. If if you've got pricing, we know it's more than enough because we've tried it out. The proof is in the pudding. The pudding is in the eating. But it's no.

17:36

It's the word. And the word says you have Christ within you. And if the word says you've got Christ within you try it out once. If it doesn't work, throw it away. Right? But when you find out that it does work, man, you've got power, you're loaded. You're sober, am loaded at the same time, like it said, Be sober. That's right. You're loaded with power. In Ephesians, you remember we don't look you can look at if you want to later Ephesians chapter three, verse six, it tells you some more about the mystery, that if the Gentiles were to be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of the promising Christ by the gospel, remember, for those of you that haven't read it before, jot it down, you can look it up later. But it says the Gentiles are to be fellow heirs, before who was heirs. Israel were heirs right? But now the Gentiles are to be fellow heirs, and the same body before Israel was only a bride. But now God called from both Jews and Gentiles, one body, and they're now the same body and partakers of the promising Christ by the gospel. Before again, the promises were only given to Israel, but now they're given to both Jews or Israel and Gentiles, calling them out into one body. And incidentally, the promises are so much greater. The only way you know is to get into the Word and read it right. When you see those promises in God's word. What did somebody say during camp there's over 3000 promises. Man, that's something my wife hasn't promised me that much. But 3000 over 3000 problems, whatever it is, God has made available to you who are in the church. Where are we? Well, we'll go off in Ephesians chapter one

20:05

look at. Bayesians chapter one let's start in 17, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know, what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, a few of those promises I was telling you about, and what is the exceeding smallness of his power to us word? Oh, I'm sorry. What is the exceeding greatness, greatness obvious power to us word who do up Billy, according to the working of his mighty power, which power he wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly heavenlies. Far above all principality, and power and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come and have put all things all things look at. He has put all things under his watch this tootsies that's right his feet, he put all things under his feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that Fila All in all, he put all things were under his feet, he put all things under his feet, then if he put all things under his feet are all things under his feet. Amen. And the word as in English, as well as in Greek is in the past tense. He hath put all things under the feet, to the church, this is addressed to the church, and for the church. He has put all things under his feet. Or then let me ask you a question. Where do you stand? Below? Do you let everybody walk all over? You? Know, you're a son of God with power, you have Christ in you the hope of glory. Now, if you've got power, like it says here, and he has put all things under his feet, then you throw back your shoulders and walk right like a son of God, and ambassador for God, like Dr. Rowe was saying tonight, if the President called, asked you to be an ambassador, or just wrote a letter for anything, you'd be thrilled to pieces. But when God sends a message to his people, they close their ears. They say they don't want to hear about it right? And again, it just the logic of it is beyond me. But God put Christ in you the hope of glory, He gave you power, and he put all things under his feet. Or that if you if you're an ambassador for God, like it says in Corinthians then you've got something your it says where it's in Ephesians here someplace where it says we're already seated in the heavenlies. Anybody know where that is real quick. To six to six, he asked, he half half raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, you're already seated up there. Isn't that wonderful? I tell you, he was great. Those promises which he made available to the church, they just blow your mind. They're fabulous. And he hath put all things under his feet. Now take a look at the book of Hebrews.

24:49

Chapter Two Hebrews chapter two verse eight. bow has put all things in subjection were under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put work under him. But, but now, we see not yet all things put under here. Oh, no. You mean I just thought on that other verse in Ephesians. And now I've got to re track everything I said, for not yet are all things put under his feet. I just better close my book and go home and, and the service was the book of Hebrews dress. says Hebrews doesn't say the church. That's right. It's addressed to Israel, Israel, and if it's addressed to Israel has nothing to do with the church, or remembering Ephesians he has put all things under his feet and gave Him to be head over the church. That's right. He put all things under his feet to the church, but to Israel, what does it say? Not yet. All things are put under his feet. That beautiful. i That's why I said you know, church got something better than Israel had or ever, ever did have or will have. Because it was so great that it was a mystery. Remember, it says it was a mystery and Ephesians Colossians other places. It was a mystery, which was kept secret since the foundation of the world. It was a secret. And God did not reveal the mystery until after the day of Pentecost sometime when Paul came along and believed and to receive the mystery, that it was made available the knowledge of the mystery to the people in the church. But it was not made made available to Israel. The promises in the mystery were not made available to Israel. These promises are just so great. They're just way above anything God ever offered to his chosen people Israel. But we are a different chosen people. And we are part of that great mystery, the administration of grace. Look at First Corinthians. First Corinthians again is addressed to whom? The church? Well we get in the section here in First Corinthians chapter 15. And God takes, I would say them, the major part of the chapter, chapter 15. To explain the resurrection. Now the gathering together is not a resurrection. Why? Because in the gathering together, some are dead and we read it before some of us will be alive yet and will be caught up together in the air. To have a resurrection. Everybody has to be dead. Israel, the resurrection, the first resurrection, and the second resurrection in the book of Revelation. mentioned in the gospels, other places. The resurrections are only when everybody is dead. In the gathering together the church not everybody will be dead. But in Israel and the Gentiles, everybody will be dead when the resurrection takes place. Now, regarding the resurrection, he says starting in verse 21st Corinthians 1520 But now is Christ risen from among the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept? For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection from the dead.

29:25

Or as an Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order, Christ the first fruits, afterward, they that are Christ's that is coming with is coming. Then come at the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power, for he must rain till he has put all enemies under his feet. He asked the rain they talkin future about the kingdom to Israel and so on, when he has to reign until he does what? But all the enemies under His feet, then at that time, not every enemy is going to be were under his feet. That's right. And this, of course, would pertain to the day the Lord with the Bible calls the day of the Lord. Verse 26, the last friend, that's all the last enemy enemy. That's right. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is what? Death. That's right. That's an enemy. Verse 27, for he have put all things under his feet. When, when that last enemy has been destroyed, Death to Israel, not yet all things are put under his feet. But when that last enemy is destroyed, then there'll be put under his feet, to the church, all things are under its feet. Isn't that marvelous? Aren't you thankful? Oh? Yes, but all things under his feet. And he says, verse 27, when he says, All things are put under him, it is manifest, that he is accepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the sun also himself be subject should be subject unto him, that put all things under him, that God may be all in all, God, under God, His Son, Jesus Christ, and under Him all things, all things are put under his feet. But again, to Israel, this does not happen till the future to the church as we read any Ephesians we've got to now look at Colossians. Why? Why? To the church, of all things, but been put under his feet. Let's look at a few more few more of these promises. Look at Colossians chapter one.

32:41

Verse 13, who will deliver us know who hath delivered us? Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and have translated us into the kingdom of his dear son, he already translated, begin to see a little bit why he's already put all things under his feet for the church. He has already translated us to the kingdom of his dear son, he delivered us from the power of darkness, In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sin. Look down verse 18. He and He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the luck preeminence, that in all things, he might have the preeminence. Look at verse 21, and you that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he was reconciled is brought you back in the body of his flesh, through death, to present you, to present you holy and unbelievable and unrepeatable in his sight. He did this for you, he, by his death, he brought you back, He reconciled you. To present you it says, holy and on blame bubble. It is saying unrepeatable in this thing. Jesus does this for you, God gave His only begotten Son. For you. These are some of the things that he did for you look at chapter two. Verse 10, er was complete. Nothing complain of course, the Aramaic there you know, is the, what is the fourth degree where you're completely completely completely, completely Well, then you're complete. You're complete. In Him, which is the head, the head of all principality and power says, You are complete in him complete, completely, completely, completely complaint.

35:20

When you complain that's something too verse Asians to a four by grace are you saved through believing, or faith, faith, faith in Jesus Christ, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, it is God's gift, you know what the word gift is here.

36:04

If you've read my book, you know, it's the word that's always used as an offering from man to God or to the temple. It's always used of an offering that man makes in the direction of God or service. It's always used in the gospels, or in the other books not addressed to the church. This is the only place this word Doragon in the Greek V O R O N, is used in the Epistles addressed to the church. And before it was always an offering which man made to God for his, you know, a part of his works. Like you bring your money to the temple. Put it down here, you though, and just like you bring your lamb or tap or whatever you're wearing, you know, the sacrifices. You bring these things to the temple. That's part of your work to get back in good with God. Right? Sure. Well, I mean, I'm just saying, you know, proper English, common English coin in English but coining common you know. Offering man always made the offering, man would bring his offering to the temple, you bring your sacrifices, and the priests would offer him the God and for this they got what remission their sins were covered. Okay. Now, it says here, the offering is not of meaning it is. Because God did everything God made the offering, he made the sacrifice. He did everything. You can't do a blessed thing for it except believe. That's right. But he pleases God raised Him from the dead. Yeah, confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus leaves I basically from the dead, and you're the one saying heaven bad on all, hell can't stop you. And it's priced into the hope of glory. And you've got these other 3007 promises in God's word. Because God made the offering, he made the sacrifice his own only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Because you've got this, because it's a great, you've got power. Now all you have to do is pick it up and walk on. You've got it in there spiritually. Now it's your responsibility to dedicate your life to get a conviction that you're going to walk upon it because of what he did for you.

38:56

What do we want? Second Corinthians Chapter Three Corinthians three verse 17. Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

39:29

But we all we all with open faith, beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of God. But we all with open face, the holding as in a glass. The word beholders into glass is one word in the Greek which means to look in the mirror to be holding anything There are three voices in the Greek, English, I have two, active and passive, Greek also the middle voice, which means the subject acts upon itself like I hit myself maybe wish I do know harder. Ah, I wash myself means I take a bath, the app, the subject does the action and it receives the action. Now, that's what that word is to be. Hold yourself in the mirror, to look in the mirror and see yourself. And what are you seeing yourself, the glory of the Lord? When you look in that mirror, what do you see? Not the physical. Spiritual, you see the glory of the Lord, locked yourself in a spiritual mirror.

40:58

Whose price then you miss Christ thing you will take a look at yourself in the spiritual mirror, sometimes you got Christ within you, as you redeem your justified, sanctified, you're an ambassador. We look in this mirror, while we see the glory of the Lord, and our change into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. You not only have it in there, but as you walk upon the word, what comes out here, negative know the positive, you get the walk as you walk upon the Word, you manifest the greatness of the spirit of now let's go to the second chapter to not just sit down and read sometimes. And look, great promises that are addressed in the second chapter to get begin in verse one. Now we seek to breastfeed but then when the material found in this chapter will absolutely it'll make you realize I hope it doesn't, there's no hope for you. But what I was trying to say while ago when I was at a loss for words, great, man, this is bigger than you can comprehend. And the the things that I'm going to be staring out of particular chapter with some of the things that John Townsend and a few of the other students here, who were really working with Dell. John originally shared the basic thing with and we began to work that thing the more we worked it the more the thing, just look at chapter two. Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Again, we're getting back to the twins coming to the church, not the day of the Lord, but the day of Christ, when He comes for the church, to gather the church together in Christ than those which are alive and remain the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and gathering together unto him, that he be not taken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, or by letter, as the biggest price is that they have what they have prior to gathering together, the company of our Lord Jesus Christ, the day of Christ. Christ is handy as they have products there's a lot of people going around saying it's already come in here and it's gone. Another long time that people would begin to say these things, but he says don't be safe.

44:49

Prices president and first. Let no man deceive you bye except dramatically not in English putting breakeven and it's all been a figure of speech with the no mention of words deliberately put emphasis upon like raise the preceding birth that keeping in mind that the price is present by any means that prices present parallel construction and repeated but the second part of it Oh see you bye President departure the gathering together the gathering together that's the word the parser here except their company reveal when can you be revealed now because I'm not revealed Remember we're talking about the fate of Christ now the word.
