Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: God, eyewitnesses, Peter, power, Christ, holy, Jesus, filled, transfigured

Here in Second Peter, we have two verses of Scripture, which are used in every foundational class in bio our our people scattered around the nations of the world, time and time and time again, namely, verse 20, and 21. Knowing this first, not last as we teach our people not in between, but the first thing you have to know, is that no prophecy, none of that which is foretold our fourth Toad, of the scripture is of any private interpretation. And we teach our people in our class, if it are not interpreted, you dare not interpret or anybody else you're not interpreted. You have basically only two answers left. Number one, either there is no interpretation, or number two, it must interpret itself. And we believe that the word of God interprets itself, right, where it's written, or in the context, or it's been used before, basically. And then that great 21st Verse. Or the prophecy came not in olden time, all of that which is foretold our fourth row didn't come, in olden times, by the will of man, but holy men of God spake, moved by the Holy Spirit. I wonder how many of us have really recognized the verses preceding these two. Those are the two we dog people with we hit up with until it runs out with their air balls, they really understand the greatness of it. But how many times have you ever looked at the preceding verses? And I'd like to go back tonight, the very 16th to set it in the greatness of its context on this planet called Sunday night. The Word declares here that this great man of God Peter said in verse 16, but we have not followed cunningly devised fable, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we're eyewitnesses of his majesty. We have not followed cunningly devised fable. What were the people accusing these apostles of? That that which they were following were just cunningly devised fables, something somebody had worked up out of the ingenuity of his two bit mind or his million dollar mind. And this is what they were accusing these men of. And God had the apostle to write the great revelation here in His Word, that they had not followed, cunningly devised fables. These words cunningly devised fables, could be accurately translated from the text. For we did not follow a skillfully perpetrated legend. They did not follow something that was skillfully perpetrated a legend that was just skillfully developed and magnified to get people's attention or to get them to walk this way. They did not follow this. When they made known unto the people the power, the word power is the word delimits. The inherent power and coming that coming at the word Patru saw the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ the first time, but they were eyewitnesses of his majesty. Where they were eyewitnesses of his majestic greatness. As the Word says. They were eyewitnesses of his majestic greatness. On the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, they were eyewitnesses of his majestic greatness.

04:05

This is more than his ministry. These men were eyewitnesses of more than a period of time when they walked with him, and he taught them and so forth. They were eyewitnesses of his resurrection, plus his attention. That's all included. In those words, eyewitnesses of his majesty, or as the text gives it, His majestic greatness. They not only walked with him and talked with him, Jesus not only taught them, but they were there when God had raised Him from the dead even though they were behind closed doors. Jesus Christ appeared to them for 40 days, he talked with them about the kingdom of God. Then one day he saw them ascend. They saw Him ascend from bed. Turning into heaven. All of this. They saw and we're witnesses of, Boy, that's a tremendous thing. What wouldn't people give today? Some of the Christian believers, if they could simply say, Well, we were with him three years we spent with him, we're a year and a half or a year or whatever time they spent. And then we saw him after he was dead. Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. We saw him, then he was with us for 40 days. Then one day we saw him ascend. And the same Jesus that went up, the angel declared, it's coming back again. Why wouldn't people pay? What wouldn't they give? Very 17 cents. For heat, Jesus Christ, received lamb by node manifested from God the Father. Honor and glory he received into manifestation from God, honor and glory. The word honor equals estimation of the recognition of its worth and brilliance. That's what he received from the Father. And estimation of the recognition of its work, and of its brilliant, honor and glory from his father. When they came such a voice to him to Jesus, from the excellent glow rate, the word excellent glory could read. When there came such a voice, to Jesus to him, from His Excellency, God the Father, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. They were eyewitnesses. They not only walked with him and talked with him, he not only instructed them told them all those great parables and everything else. They saw him dead. They saw Him crucified, they saw him slayed, they saw him resurrected, they saw him ascended. They heard God say, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well, please. Ladies and gentlemen, I know I'm nothing plainer. I don't know, anybody could misread this. I just for the life of me cannot understand why people want to continue to propound that Jesus Christ is God. When God Himself says here, that he is my beloved Son, this is God talking. And God said, God said, This is My beloved, what? Son in home, I am odd. Isn't that a tremendous reality? Keep your finger here and Peter. Take a look in Matthew chapter 17. For a moment.

08:14

Matthew, this is the New Testament set. Habit gave Nuff said. Verse one, and after six days Jesus take it Peter, James, and John, his brother, three of them Peter, James, and John, and bring them up into a high mountain apart. And what's transfigured transform before them, and his face did shine as the sun and his raiment was white as the light. And behold, there appeared on the damn Jesus, and Peter and James and John, Moses and Elijah, talking, however, with him, Jesus Christ. Then answered Peter and said unto Jesus, Lord, it's good for us to be here. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for the and one for Moses and one for life. And while he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Here. Yay him. That's the record in Peter that Peter is talking about. One a day that was on that Mater transfiguration when Jesus was thinking about his death and Moses and Elijah appeared in a vision as it says in the other gospel, discussing it with him. And Peter got all excited about it. He said, Boy, wouldn't it be great if we could stay up here on the mountain side, we just build three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah, and we just have our tea at three in the afternoon, even in the United States of Peters in Australia, they Yatra and bar we just live it up. And just at the time, when Peter had sort of flipped out on this thing, freaked out is you kids, like he really freaked out. About this time is when that voice came and said, This is My beloved Son. If you want to know anything, hear him, you ain't got anything to say about whether you want to build tabernacle or not. If he wants you to build a tabernacle, he'll say so this is my beloved Son in whom I God and well pleased hear him. And the next record is, they started down into the valley of human need. It's tremendous to go up on the mountain side and on the mountain top. It's tremendous to meet with people here tonight and sit in this vast audience with the tremendous power of God and the believing and the great exuberance of the love of Christ in the soul of men and women, boys and girls, young people. Well, what about those poor people out there in the community who don't know him? What about those men and women are outside of Christ didn't trespasses and sins without God and without hope? If we stayed up here all the time, who would reach them? Who would hit Wichita who would hit HCU who would hit Horned Owl who would hit Bluffton food hit New Knoxville St. Mary's New Bremen minster whoo. Oh, Bodhi. It's wonderful for you, people from Marinette, Wisconsin, and other areas tonight to be in here for this great Pentecost rally. But get the picture in your mind that you're going back fortified loaded with the power of God. All the greatness that God made available is in you, and you're going back into the society of human need, and you're going to talk god, you're going to walk god, you're going to speak god, you're going to show them that transfigured Christ in you for it. You're born again of God's Spirit. It's Christ in you the hope of glory. And the Word says that His face became radiant, brilliantly shining you right, Christ upon your face with a power of God determined. Oh, boy, oh, boy. The other time is the record. And I don't want you to look it up. But it's in Mark chapter one, verse 11. When Jesus Christ first started out in his ministry, to fulfill the law, he went through a water baptism. And oh, John the Baptist was given him the water baptism. And when Jesus Christ came up out of it, the heavens open, and something came down that looked like a dog.

13:16

The Holy Spirit came upon him. And the boys declared, God said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I'm well pleased. They, they were eyewitnesses of all of the states saw this. Man couldn't just build a case of logic and reason on this, philosophically that just blow people's minds if they'd seen that my birthday team says, and this voice which came from heaven, we heard, we heard it. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I'm back in Peter. You got to walk by revelation in these minutes. Sure, and this boy, which came from heaven, we heard when we were with him with Jesus in the holy mountain, you know why it's a holy mount. Because the man of God was there. That's what made it holy. Jesus was there. That's what made it holy. It's just ground. But boy, when a man of God walks there becomes holy grail. When you walk there with a power of God, it's a holy place. When you're there, nothing else can. Susan said tonight if there's one believer in an organization, the organization's blessed with the word blessed means holy. Why? Because the believer is like, oh, Go, son, body's got to turn on this Sunday. This is the reality under greatness of God's word people. It's called the Holy Mountain. Not because somebody poured holy oil on it or something. sprinkled with baptism of water out of the jar? Or somebody prayed over it, or spit on it. It's a holy mount because a holy man of God was there, Jesus Christ. That's what made it holy. Wherever you walk, is the holy place. Where you sit is the holy place. Where you minister ma'am is the holy place where you speak the words the Holy Place the Paul Hales around. That remember, they were eyewitnesses of all. Man, they could have taken a jury of 12 men and sold their product in an unbelievable way. They had it all cut and dried. Tremendous. Yep, the next verse is but to be in context, we have we have a more sure word. The word curious to be said, we have a truer word we've even got something truer than the death of Jesus, the resurrection, the ascension, the voice in the mouth, we've got something truer. Now, ladies and gentlemen, if it's truer than it had to come after the death, after the ascension to make it a more sure word of prophecy, something truer. That's exactly what happened on the day of Pentecost. And Peter, looking back as to why had occurred by revelation father said, right? And he wrote what they had seen with as eyewitnesses. But then he took a step further instead, after all of that, we've got something more short. We've got something more true than that which we have seen with our eyes and heard with our ears.

17:20

And he said, we're on to you do well. That to take the heat. Take it to heat in your hearts. The last three words of verse 19, must come at this point.

17:41

We have a more true word of prophecy, where until you do well, that you take heed in your hearts. Now he uses an illustration and ties it all up together in three short phrases as unto a light that China in a dark, but who was that light that shone in the darkness others were God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He was here upon this earth. He showed. What did they do to this light, they crucified it. God raised it the third day and 40 days later and ascended as a light that shines in a dark place. Until the day dawn, until the day dawn, and the day dawn, the dawn of day was with the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost that was it song. That's what that verse is taught. We have a smaller shorter word, more shorter word. He was that light, Jesus Christ that shone in a dark place. But they crucified Him God raised Him 40 days later, the light plot show again 10 to 50 days later depending on 10 days after the usage and until the day dawn and the day star arrived. The Day Star arising is after the dawn of day. There is always Dawn before there is the day star or sun brightly shining. Lambs the gifts. Really interesting. How long do you need the candle The light until the day lot dawn, when the day starts to dawn, what do you do with the candle? You blow it out because right after the dawn comes the rising of the sun, the ha ha. That's the beauty of the rising of the sun. And when the sun has risen, then the candle light is no longer necessary for something better. And you know what, that rising, the dawn is, the dawn is the new birth. The rising of the sun is it's all it's brilliant. It's the folgen and that's what you see in manifestation when you hear men and women speak in tongues the wonder that's what Peters sets in the greatness of this word in its in depth, accuracy. Not superficially, but knowing the in depth pneus of the word. That's what he's talking about. That when Christ was born in you, Christ in you the hope of glory, that's the dawn and the brightness the folgen sub it comes into manifestation when you operate the manifestation you're speaking how do I know all that says so we're not to you do I'd get there would and when the day of Pentecost, verse one was what fully come? They were, they were all the 12 were all with what? one accord in one place. And suddenly, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a heavy breathing, rushing mighty winter, heavy breathing, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. The word failed is the word play lacO. Meaning full to capacity. It was all failed. One day breathed in it says it failed. The house that came forward they were sitting and the word failed is the word playback called meaning failed to capacity. And when you are born again of God's Spirit, you are filled to capacity. That story.

22:47

Then in verse four, it says and they were all filled with pathoma Hockey Oh, it doesn't say they were refilled. And this word filled is an entirely different word. They were not playing lock code filled to capacity in verse four. They were filled to capacity when the light dawn. When Christ came in Christ in you the hope for glory is the fullness to capacity. That's verse two. Verse four is the word Plato. The word Plato means filled to overflowing, and they were all overflowing with for no myhockey owed. And this offer flowing says they began to speak with lots other tongues as the Spirit gave them not trains and that's the sun shining of Second Peter chapter one. The day's star coming up. Isn't that tremendous? Boy to be born again of God's Spirit, filled to capacity, nothing lacking Christ in you the hope of glory. And then to play though, to overflow, the overflowing of the fullness to capacity is always the manifestation always in glory to God. And it says they overflow. They were playful, filled with the new Maha Gill began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them. That is why the greatness of the Word of God that dwells in you people here tonight is your responsibility to carry it. You are God's ambassadors. You are God warriors, your his soldiers. You and I are all that God has to get the job done with. And he has done his job when he filled you to capacity, nothing lacking. And no one son has more than any other son in the fame. The oldest son has no more than the youngest son. You might have five children, the oldest child has no more of you than the first child or the last. There are no variations in God's family. God, God put the same spirit in you that He put me and her and him. God is our Father. We are his children, he filled us to capacity. Nobody's lacking. That's why the Scripture says we all have the same amount of faith. We all start out with the same amount of righteousness, justification, sanctification, wisdom, redemption, and everything else that comes wrapped up in that beautiful package. Not boiled to what capacity now to play through it to get it out in overflowing. That's our job. That's your job. That's my job. That's moving. That's holding it forth. That's turning it on. That's carrying the greatness of God's Word. Remember, God has no hand. God is Spirit. God has no hands, but our hands with which to give them bread. And I'm thinking spiritual bread, which is a bread alive. God has no feet. His spirit he has no feet, but our feet with which to move among the almost dead. And I mean Move, move, move with thorough God. We say that we're is. We talk we mouth or at least we say it we say that we are in.

27:48

And we say that he is watt hours. But deeds are the proof of that. Not words. Ladies and gentlemen, panic cause 19 170 Is the proving our we do or we die. Ladies and gentlemen, unless the greatness of this word gets to our nation in our data and in our time there is no some of us in here tonight are dedicated to where there's absolutely nothing to stop us from carrying network. As long as we have an ounce of breath, an ounce of strength that's one thing we're going to talk that's the word.

28:45

Ladies and gentlemen. God's waited 2000 years and all we got for the most part is denominations and talk.

28:54

And people hold up a book and they say the Bible says or they tell us the New Testament is the first port. We are to study to show ourselves approved under goddess workman who need not to be ashamed of their workmanship by rightly do a lot dividing the Word. And we stand approved as we rightly divide the Word. Then we having received it with meekness we hold it fast because it's a faithful word. And because it's the word of life, we hold it forth. And unless you and I come down from that mountaintop of Transfiguration where we've been transfigured with a glorious majesty of God's Word. And there is no person in Heroes tied under our foundation or closet whom God has not transformed by the accuracy and the greatness of His Word. Nobody. God you just can't stand us for two weeks unless you change because that word, that word, that word and nothing but that word is held forth. Now we have to take that word, ma'am, we have to take that word. And we've got to let that worldly. We've only got one life to do. And that we come up with this great, tremendous, wonderful mountain tonight. Some of us have been together since yesterday morning, the wee hours of this morning, all day to day. And it's been like heaven on earth. Take your shoes off and sit down and be among people who don't criticize you don't find fault, don't raise Ale, who just love you, and who just pray with you just wish you God's best. But you don't have to walk on mile or drive a mile outside of these doors or even that far, and you start running into human needs. Who's God who has God made available to this day and time and our to carry the word? You? You, the men and women who have sat under the research and teaching ministry of the way to whom this word of God is open, that you can't cut it, you can't the only two things you can do with this. When we get through with it. You either believe it or you deny it. You can't break it. We've got to take this word, and we've got to do it now. Not five years from now. It's now we lay it on the line. And it costs 1970 as a night to make a decision and I'm just not mild. I'm getting too old to mess around is junk. If you're mean business for God, then quit talker and do it. Power for abundant living just came down Well, it's funny cause wanna go. Oh, praise though. If you got a job, get the best job. Make the most money and give it all away. Five years from now it won't do your better good if you don't. If you think you're saving for posterity that got a guest coming evidencing? 10,000 did you say $500 Less than two months in a hospital just for the hospital room 10,500 Just for a place to lay your kinky little head for approximately two months. You can save for that day. You might as well give it all away and die stay in enough it's cheaper

33:02

say people it's Christian have just been taught. Oh yeah. Lord, we give you all we get out a buck. We just spend five for a dinner. We walked down and bought ourselves a fifth of bourbon for seven and a half. Boy we are beautiful artwork by damn lar. Ah, that right? Look, if God's word means what it says. And you say what it says, Then you got to track you got to operate. You got to layer on the line. You not only talk it you walk it walk the talk and talk the walk. And you become the parametrization of Christ. The reality of His Divine Presence and just lay it on the line with all the love of First Corinthians 13 That's the ministry that's the message. That's the time it's way too late to decide whether you like the way I comb my hair and brush my teeth. Too late for you to look at me and say well, I lead don't like the SUTI Oh nuts. What about Christ, do you that's the thing we got to hold for the greatness of the reality of the world of the word in the believer and you are the ones who have that knowledge people turn on with a word and hold it for it with all boats. As it says in Acts, they went everywhere preaching. What's the word with all that's my desire. That's my prayer. That's my belief. For this night for you people and for the rest of our believers around the nations who will be hearing this tape this week, hear from headquarters that this is where we're really going to hit him this year, while we still have time to do it, indeed, our United States shall we pray Our Father in our guts to whom every heart is open again tonight. Here at the way biblical Research Center, we've done our best. We stand together, many of us here have stood together for a long time. We're standing together again tonight. And we believe God that this is the day, the time and the hour, when people will rise up to have the courage to say what the Word says, do declare with all the power within their being the ineffable greatness of that word, that men and women again, at least have a chance to say yes or no. Father, I thank you, for the 1000s who say yes. I thank you for your blessing on every community, in every community, in every area where there will be holy men of God and women, holy women are God, filled with your power, who walked there and who declared that we are those people in this auditorium tonight who made a commitment while the whole program was being carried on father. Let that word and that commitment be the most meaningful thing the most dynamic thing in their life and in the our in the time in which we live. I thank you and praise you for the Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
