Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: called, church, sanctified, Christ, lord, lord Jesus Christ, Paul, believers

I'd like for you to take your Bibles tonight and turn to First Corinthians. First Corinthians chapter one, please. Now naturally, the things that I want to share with you from God's Word tonight are pinned upon the greatness of the word that was the theme of the scripture verse from Ephesians. For you young people, in this particular youth advance.

00:42

We know from our research, from working the integrity and accuracy of God's word for many, many years that the book of Corinthians was written and addressed to the church primarily to correct practical error, which had crept into the church because of the failure of adherence to the revelation given in the book of Romans. And with that light, and with that understanding, the book of Corinthians becomes alive and vital, and dynamic. And tonight, I'd like to handle again, the first chapter of the book of Corinthians. With you, at least in part, the first verse of the first chapter read, Paul, called to be an apostle of who, Jesus Christ, every critical Greek text, every era make text will read Jesus Christ. If it read Christ, Jesus would be out of order. First of all, the Ministry of an apostle is one cold this way, Leo, there are five ministries in the church, apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors, five ministries, these are calling this way down. Everybody BORN AGAIN of God's Spirit is a son of God, a daughter of God, you're born again of God's Spirit. But God has in the church, in the body of believers, five ministries, one of those is the ministry of an apostle. And it's not something you work for. You can you can go to college, you can go to universities, you can graduate from every Theological Seminary in the United States, or any or the country, you still do not have any set to be have a ministry. We talked about educating men for the ministry. That is just a bunch of baloney. As far as the calling is concerned, if a man has a call from God, and he set apart by God, and God gives that man a ministry, the education could be great. But most of the education that I've seen through the years, instead of elevating the greatness of God's word, it simply has torn. It's nothing wrong with education except the educated. God never objects to people being educated. As a matter of fact, he sort of appreciates a few educational bums around the place. He had one in the apostle Paul, a man who had been schooled at the feet of Gamaliel, the most outstanding theologian, he was highly educated, and yet he was against the Lord Jesus Christ, and he persecuted the church. And after he got born again of God's Spirit, you know what he said about his education? Well, he said the same thing about it as he did about his family tree. And about everything else. He said, he kind of the whole bunch of stuff just as dumb. You said the word he must have had a tremendous respect for that family tree, his net education and all the rest of this stuff. And a powerful is one cold. And ladies and gentlemen, when somebody is called up God, and that man is given a ministry from God, he doesn't have to run around the country and say, Well, I'm an apostle or a prophet or I'm a teacher, or I'm an evangelist, you'll know it. You bet your life you'll know it. The same way as if you've got an athlete who is a good forward in basketball, you don't have to run around the country and say, well, here's a good pole we're just let that boy play ball rot. Really tried football track anything else? Well, a lot about God's word. When that ministry when that man of God is called in God gives that man administrates not where to live. But God's not going to call some income Booth who has no respect for the word no, hi, just the word two pieces and who is not able to share it? God's not stupid. Here Paul was called he was called by God as an apostle and he was an apostle of Jesus Christ. The word Jesus is put first because it emphasizes the humility of Christ. Whenever the word Jesus is used in the Bible, it's always relative to his humanity, why he could suffer what he could go through the word Christ is always the Anointed One, the Messianic one.

05:25

This is why these words are used with a mathematical exactness of scientific precision. And then people come to me and they say, the Bible, a bunch of baloney or it doesn't fit. The reason it doesn't fit is because they don't work it and somebody else has told them it doesn't fit. And so they come to the Word of God with all their doubt and all their skepticism and all their unbelief. And they say the Bible doesn't fit. Nothing wrong with the Word of God. It does fit and it fits with a mathematical exactness and scientific precision. We, we are ambassadors of Jesus Christ. Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ. Why? Because we serve on the level of humanity, where the persecution is that suffering that humanity, we are called up God, as sons of God. And if we have a ministry, it's also true, we are servants to our fellow man on an horizontal plane or level forward, Jesus Christ. Well, verse two says, It's unto the church of God, which is that Korean? to them that are sanctified in Jesus. Now what it says, new sanctified in who, if it said, Jesus, your five will fall to pieces, you wouldn't have a thing left to work. We're not sanctified in his humility. We're not sanctified in the fun they made of him. We are sanctified in Christ because God raised Him from the dead and set Him above all principalities and powers. This is like when you're born again of God's Spirit, not once does the Bible say that you are in Jesus. We are not in his humility. We are not in the degradation he suffered. We're not in the that which He suffered, we are with Him in His resurrection, where God seated him in the heavenlies. And has we're already seated with Him in the heavenly psyche things and says, we're going to set that back a little more, do hot, takes coat off, I took mine off. If you get your shirt off, you get down to yourself. So keep it on.

08:06

Okay, if it gets too cold for you hold up your hand Darfield put the heat on turn the air conditioning. All right, onto the Church of God, onto the Church of God to whom is the book of Corinthians addressed to the Church of God. It's addressed to the church. The book of Corinthians is not basically addressed to the unbeliever outside of the pale. The one who was not born again of God's Spirit. The book of Corinthians is primarily addressed to the church, the born again believers, Church of God. Now the critics will say and I've said this to me, that's why I know what to talk about. They say, Well, you it's not really addressed to the whole church. It's only addressed to the church at Curry. Well, bless God, isn't that great? Well, I wouldn't have I wouldn't need any more for my knowledge, but for the unbelieving Christians, you need much more knowledge, because the rest of the very says to them that r1 sanctified in what Christ Jesus called to be saints with all that in every place. That must be beyond Caringbah wraps the way headquarters maybe Yeah, okay. upon the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, both theirs and ours. You think whenever something's addressed to the church, I don't know if I ever told you I am sure I have in groups said these things before. But all those churchy pistols are addressed to the whole church worldwide, even though it says to the church at Ephesus verses or to the church at Corinth. You know why it said to the church at Corinth, because when does he pistol was sent, it was delivered postally speaking first to the church at Corinth, and from the church at Corinth, it circulated to every other church, all over the area. This is why it's just like a letter. If I want to send a letter to everybody here on Sunday night, I would address it to Victor Paul Wierwille. To the body of believers gathered at the way headquarters, it's addressed to me, but then I share it with you. And then I give it to you, people from Columbus and Springfield, and Dayton and other places where you're from, and you take it to the body of believers, you read that letter to him. That's the word. Now this was to the Church of God, which is a coroner to them that are sanctified. Well, whenever you're sanctified, you don't have to come around and tell me you're sanctified holy. If you're sanctified, your holy and if you're not holy, you're not sanctified. So I had some real clever things in my mind, the while ago, they've all skipped now it's going to tell you about that great football game this afternoon. They used a couple of phrases in that football game, I thought for sure I wouldn't forget what I forgotten them. But that's all right. I still know what sanctified in Christ means. It means to be set apart. The word sanctified means to be set apart. before you're born again of God's Spirit, you're set apart for hell and all heaven can stop you from going, because you're not born again of God's Spirit. That's what the word sanctified means. Look it up in a dictionary. Look it up any other place. That's what the word means. It doesn't mean you're sanctified to my way of believing or you're sanctified to my denomination or my belief. No, it means to be set apart. And and we're not born again of God's Spirit. We have no eternal life where it's set apart for Hell, people, you know, everybody else knows it, that got any concern about the accuracy of God's word. But when you're born again of God's Spirit, you're set apart forever. Because when you're born again of God's Spirit, you're sanctified in hope.

12:48

In Christ, not in Jesus. Our salvation, our sanctification is not in what he wrought for us, in his persecution using the word Jesus, it isn't there. It is in what Christ is the Lord the Messiah, what he is, in his, when God raised him from the depths, that fly, it always speaks of this regarding the reality of our sanctification in right. Isn't that wonderful? That's how I put that where it is. This is why we get young people to turn on. This is why we blast their mind. Because we show them the accuracy of the word. And then we do what Dr. Wade said, we just lay it out there if you want it, okay. If you don't want to turn on and turn off, we don't care. That's your job. So I try. I can't get you to go to heaven. If you want to go to hell go to hell. Not try. If you want to go to heaven, go to hell, I can't get you to go one place or the other. You got to make that decision upon yourself. That's why this ministries got something to say, our day and time. We don't shove anything down anybody's throat, but boy, we lay it out there. We lay it out there. So you got to be stupid, I'm stupid. And nobody's ever not stupid, as far as I'm concerned, and we lay it out so clearly, and we work it from so many different angles that anybody who wants to understand can and the rest of them. We haven't got any time to argue with anyone. April what a tremendous word. This is addressed to the church to you, born again of God's Spirit, those who are sanctified in Christ and you're called to be saved. st is one born of God's Spirit, not somebody they can an eye that you're dead for 400 years they pick up a phone does someplace. No, it's while you're living BORN AGAIN of God's Spirit. He sanctify ducks, what makes you think. And you'll never be an angel, you know? Nail. All that in every place, call upon the name, the name of Jesus Christ. And every time the Bible uses this kind of an expression, the name of Jesus Christ, it is signifying what that name represented. What is in that name? What did that name a conflict? The name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Lord, not just our teacher, not just someone that we listen to once every month or two. But He is our Lord. He has he's part of the first part, and we constantly listen to what he has to say, and we walk further. Then verse three says, Grace, I love Grace means divine favor. Great, not hail, not criticism, not faultfinding not backbiting, but grace, be unto you, God, church or God. Isn't that beautiful? How the church again needs to hear of the grace of God, that God so loved that he gave. Grace be unto you, and wants peace. From God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, from God, the Father, grace, and the Lord Jesus Christ, because of what the Lord Jesus Christ made available to us. That's why you got grace from God. Look at the beauty of that thing. Great beyond to you and peace, and peace. We talk about peace. We talk about wanting peace in depth man, talk about wanting peace someplace. You don't want peace? They wouldn't be.

17:43

You know why? Because you can't have it without the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ. But oh, sure, we try everything else except what the Word says. Because we don't want to believe the words. And this is being done by people who sit in churches, in denominations or heads over everything, but towards everything. But if you want peace, you've got to have the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father, which was made available through the Lord Jesus Christ, and if we want the peace of God, we got to have him who is the principle. As far as I understand the word of God, there's never going to be any peace here up on earth until that Prince comes up. As a matter of fact, if I know anything about the Word, the Bible says it's going to be an increase of wars, rumors of wars, hatred among people, and that it's going to take the personal return of Christ to straighten out the lousy mess that we got it into. And without his return, there never will the NTP accept the peace that's in her heart, the peace in her heart, the peace that's in her heart, the peace that's in our hearts, which God by His mercy and grace escaped us when we were born again of God's Spirit. That's why you can live in peace in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. Isn't God wonderful to allow us to live to have peace? All around us, everything else seems God peaceful. Well, verse four, it says, I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God which has given you by wants Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, that in everything you are enriched by him in everything you're in rich, you know what to read enriched me, in all I trust in all knowledge, even as the testimony price was confirmed or established the view so that you come behind in no gifts. Are they talking about a manifestation? No, he's talking about a lot of gifts the gift of manifestations of manifestation and soup is one. And apple butter is one. We know that all right, we these are we a gift a gift. Okay, that was a new one. You people say I never telling new stories whatever. Look, he said to the Corinthians they became they came behind the no gift. And as far as the word is concerned, there are only five ministries, which are called gifts. Apostle prophet, evangelist, pastor teach here where the Corinthians and they came behind in no gift. Boy, they'd had the word of God laid out to him by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, they didn't come behind in any of those things. That's how they had been enriched in all attributes and knowledge that you come behind in no gifts, waiting for the coming, or the apocalypses the return the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall also confirm you unto the end. That Qi may be is in italics. And I believe it's very well supplied, although it was not in any text. So you could read who shall also confirm you unto the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, how is he able to confirm us? blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the apocalypsis, the revelation, the appearing, the return of Christ, live because of what Jesus Christ wrought for us. That's why and when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, his righteousness became your righteousness. That's why you're blameless.

22:33

Before giving that day, that's why verse nine says, God is one. Faithful is man faithful. Never Bible says every man's alone, including the P word, makes us all the same boat. But also, on the other hand, puts us in the same boat because we love God, and God is what? Faithful what God has promised. He's not only able but willing to perform because he is a faithful God. That's why you can guarantee the words. Because that word God can not break it is as much God as God is God. It's his word. And that word, properly understood, rightly divided and applied produces the same results now as it did, the first time was spoken. Same authority is available today from God's word as the first time and when it was given, because it's God's Word. God is faithful, by whom you were called, unto the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. That's why in verse 10, he says now, because of all of this, that God did for you, now, I beseech you, and the word beseech, is to imploringly and treat. You know, I beg you, I beseech you, brethren, born again, believers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak that same one thing, that you all speak the same thing. In current, they were not all speaking the same thing. Not the will of the Lord is that we've been born again of God spirits are to speak the same thing. If BP will speaks one thing regarding one verse of scripture, and somebody else speaks something else regarding God versus scripture, they cannot both be right. They could both be wrong. Well, not both right. He said they were to speak the same thing. There are four things in that verse if you'll note carefully what he says. speak the same thing that there be no one division, division comes because we do not speak the same thing. People have said to me well, division comes wherever you go doctor will because of what you teach. No, it isn't because of what I teach is their unbelief of what the Word says. Now you can sit and argue and they can argue all day long. Like where the word said I would y'all speak in tongues and it turns right around said this a commandment the Lord. And people say to me, they don't want to. With God it they don't want to they don't want to.

25:58

Can't blame me for the division. act stupid. Division always comes because people do not speak the same thing on the word. I was on the phone to California just 536 o'clock this evening, before I came over, I was listening by little before 530 shows over here at 530 I was ready to teach you at 530 uses word area. I just like an athlete, I get all fired up. You don't can hardly wait for the whistle to blow ready to go. And I talked to one of our people up there. I've been trying to get ahold of them this morning and a couple of times this afternoon. And I finally got through. And I wondered why you see this the Well, when I played phone call and I don't get through, I figured it must be surely something wrong. Either I had the connection wrong or God's wrong or the neighbors wrong and I am sure God isn't. And I wondered why I wasn't getting those people. When I finally got to the moment, he picked up the phone. The wife picked up the phone. It just blew her mind when I said Well, I'm Dr. Ruby. She just had some kind of words will praise the Lord or something. It was really hilarious what she said spiritually. She said you couldn't call that a better time. She said I just got off the phone. And I said, Well, you must have been on it all day. Because I've tried it. She said well, I was on quite a bit call. He said boy, were they given me a going over today because of the word of God and what I believe. And she said I just got off the phone when it rang and this is you. And she said you couldn't have called at a more opportune time. Because if I ever needed to hear from you, this was it. Go he said here it is on a Sunday. And I've had call after call and I just got off of this one, where people are saying to me that I am inheriting that I'm going to go to hell, that all this stuff is happening to me and that God is going to ruin our business and they have a tremendous business a beautiful business, fine Christian business. They said God's going to ruin your business you're gonna your children are going to go corrupt. And she said all of that I know where as lie and I was trying to give the word and then just to have you to call it that time. Well, that was the reason why I didn't get through sooner. But these are the things that if we all speak the same thing there would be motivation. Maybe if God could get all of us clergyman in a big enough room and lock the door and throw the key away like you did on Noah. We'd either sink or swim. Try to stay in there for 30 days and finally 10 a little burned out and still couldn't find any place so I'm a we spent about 40 days inside of the place where we had to sit and come out with the same answers or stay put till the water went Laon that's the Lord have water 365 days or something. We wouldn't get out for tea at all. People the greatness of this thing just gelled and Matsu. Why Why should one Christian want to fight another in every other profession and best if you increase your knowledge, they increase your salary. Well, when it comes to God's Word, you increase the knowledge of God's Word. People think you're a heretic I just don't understand yes, I do goes on not getting rid of his devices that we all speak the same thing that there be no division there thing says that you'll be perfectly joined together in the same mind. That's brilliant, isn't it? And in the same judgment, and the word judgment is the word opinion in the text, the same opinion regarding the Lord Jesus Christ, His words, the things he asks us to do, and that we are commanded to be obedient to carry out for things make the same thing, no division, perfectly joined together in the same mind, and with the same opinion. That's the purpose. That's one of the reasons you were here, as young people working the great fitting up the body together, because inside of the body, if this finger decides to go this way, when it should go that way, we've got a few problems, please. Alright, I want this leg to go this way. And it goes this way. It did today, I felt good went to rob wait. We got Tom. And I've said this across the country. And I want to say it tonight again, so that our people who are across the country listen to this tape will realize again, that people we've just got to say the same thing. That is we've got to say the same words the same way. And we've got to say it according to His words, not what I think or you think, or Johnny jump up things. But what does the word say? We've got to have the same mind, that same opinion. And I have said this, and once more. Suppose that you get two Christians together and they cannot see eye to eye, the thing to do is to lovingly stay working, alert. And certainly not for two Christians to fight each other. We should be joined together to fight the navel. Here's a person knows this much of God's word, should never fight someone who knows that much. But the two should still be joined together to carry the Word of God with the best ability they have to fight the devil. But what the devil does he gets this little group to fight this one. That's why we have no time to fight. You know, in that revolutionary disturbing BookCon are the dead alive now. Which is auto print was next editions coming out. It's in the process of becoming means Genesis. Now. Six or seven months ago Karen Martin had asked me to write another chapter on it, where in she suggested that I named it your Casey and then take something from his work, showing exactly what he said and then go to the Bible to show how it doesn't agree at all with what's the word of God. And she wanted me to take Arthur forward Jeannie Dixon and six or seven other of the so called prominent spiritualist ESP gang today. And I never forget this stuff. This stuff's always in my mind, and I keep brewing it, whatever that means. You teetotallers just lay off, take it and it never crystallizes. Because when I keep working these things in my mind, and when they crystallize, I just couldn't write them just like this. But it never crystallized. So I never wrote. And the other week when we were working on the manuscript in New Jersey, I told Karen that the thing hadn't worked. It just didn't mesh it didn't gel. And I said, why don't we just forget about it, delete it. And add no more instead this and Karen had said, okay, then about two minutes later, I got a tremendous peace, flooding muscles. I got real bliss. And you know why I got blessed? Because what good does do for me to take a great book like are the dead alive now and put a chapter on there and even mention Edgar Casey's, he's not worth mentioning in my book. Neither is Jeanie Dixon. And if I would set forth what they said, and set the Word of God over on the other side, I lose all that space that I'm using for them when I could be teaching the word.

35:24

So we just take the simplicity of God's word, and put it in this great book. That's all. Because that way, I'm not even argued with Gd Dixon.

35:37

Why they're not in my ball league at all. They're they're piddly was late Dillo kindergarten stuff, at least at least were in first grade. Oh. So you see, if you fight wherever you have to fight with people, whether they're unbelievers are believers, we're losing so much time when we could hold the word force. I don't expect people to sit in my class starting the 11th of January and swallow everything. You're still but if you do, you ought to sit and think and for once in your lifetime, clear out the cobwebs. And if you have ever sat and thought thinking my plus. Because people, if it's God's word, you and I cannot break it. The more you think on God's Word, the more beautiful it becomes, the more tremendous it becomes. And then, if it is truth, if it's God's word, it's truth. And if it isn't truth, it can't be God's word. And truth does not need a defense. Air needs dependents. Not true. That's why the scripture says we're going to be witnesses what on to him, it doesn't say the defense attorneys, we don't have to defend I don't have to defend the Word of God. But I sure got to work it. So I know that I can properly teach it you need to work it so that you can properly teach it. We don't have to defend it if nobody believes it. God has to be the defense of his own words. That's why the scripture says Jesus Christ is our defense attorney. We use our Barghest or not weak. And so many, many times he's my human nature is I want to fight you. That's me. Somebody sits up and you want to give them both barrels off the map with a word or something. That's the human. When you renew your mind on the word. And it starts having preeminence in your life. Pretty soon you lose that to a great degree most of the time anyways. They all desire I want to club it into him. Want to fight? You know why we always want to fight because we brought up this way everything we fight. You go to school and somebody hits you and you come home I heard John Somerville say this must be true in the Lord. Somebody sucks here. So you come home and got a black eye And Dad said will happen to you. Oh, he got hit in the eye. Why did you hit him? No. Well, why did you hit him? Stand up here. I want him good. were brought up this way, aren't we? Then for someone to come along and talk about the love of Christ. I said to somebody today in our fellowship, I forget where it was. I'm going to do something on teaching some time, the ability to suffer persecution. I think the way people need to know this, that, boy, there is not a day when the Word says that we people who love the Lord Jesus Christ are not going to be prosecuted. Now we've got to learn how to live beyond it. And you cannot win. By fighting. You can only win by holding forth the word. I've got an enemy. He pulls out a knife, I pull out my knife every one of these because nine chances out of 10 If I pull out my knife this long, you'll pull out his knife that long and start running but the next day he'll be back he'll have a knife that long. And it just gets isn't that right. It just gets to be a vicious circle. But boy somehow or other if we can learn to just let that greatness of the word live and hold forth that word and quit fighting about God doesn't want divisions in the body He wants to be of the same mind, same opinion. Because in current it says it's been declared on default. One group says I am appalled. Another group said I am a blue. And I have who? And that fourth group said, we're the best of all, because we've got the group called Christ group.

40:30

The word that Is Christ divided. Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank my God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius the only reason you baptize them because they were legally at 2120 says they were believers but they were still zealous for one that's the legally that zealots for the law and Paul just they came they were they were boy, we want to be baptized. Okay, Paul did go to river argue bought it might come to me so they won't be sprinkled, I sprinkled I'm gonna want to be immersed on immersion. If this is really what they believe, because so what isn't worth fighting about? Paul was real forgetful fellow, you know that very 16. He says, I baptized also the household is to 70.

41:32

And besides that, I don't remember whether baptised any other. Fella couldn't have made it through my through our school pretty.

41:45

I wish you people would supply me again with that piece illiterate Tory somebody supplied me with about a vacancy in a pulpit in a certain church. And they were looking for a minister. This could have been up there. For a community I don't know. But that was a real pun. So that's board of selection for the proper minister to fill the pulpit of that elite, magnificent, wonderful, highly educated denominational church. We're out looking for a tremendous man, and they have cards for accepting all the credentials. What college did you attend? What theological schools? Did you make C's or DS or A's or B's? And how was he interested in social reform? Was he a good mixer? You know. They got all these applications together. And they began reading them on evening. And there they had among all of those tremendous applications. The most unusual ones. Were a fellow said that he had apply, he would like to apply for the pulpit of that particular church. And his credentials were as follows. And then he named he been in prison. been jailed a number of times. He had been in some shipwrecks. And some of the believers had whipped him five times with plain black snakes, three times with black snakes that had thongs at the end of it. He had been called a line Bibber a woman chaser all of that. And they got real disturbed about reading this letter. Because they said Who in the world would send us an application for our Pope but and be that kind of a man? They said after all, who do they think we are? Finally asked the Secretary to read the name on the application said Apostle Paul. Who's got that record some of you people who supplied it to who got it all by giving it to me this year? Well, you get I just have to keep a better filing system. Least I got to partly filed up here. But it's not something. Well, look at very 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel. Not with wisdom of words. Less the cross of Christ should be made of non effect, or the preaching of the cross is to them that carries foolishness, but unto us who are saved it's the power of life. Isn't that wonderful? Bow, for it is written, I would destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the proof. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where's the disputer? That's where we have not God made foolish the wisdom of this world. Man what a declaration our time is. The wisdom of this world, as far as God is concerned is just plain old one foolish. For after that in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom, knew not God, I never will know God. You cannot find God in a test tube and a laboratory with please God by the foolishness of preaching, to save them that do one thing one, and if they don't believe they will not get saved, it's the individual responsibility. Or the Jews require a sign the Greeks or the Syrians seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified. unto the Jews a stumbling block under the Greeks are the Assyrians foolishness, but unto them which are called both Jews and Greeks, right, the power of God, and the wisdom of Christ is the power of God, and He is the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men. Now that isn't hyperbole or something. That's really some

46:35

god have any foolishness in him at all. It has to be a figure of sure the foolishness of God is wiser than men. And the weakness of God is stronger than men. Are ye see For you see, you're calling brothers, how that not many wise man after the flesh, are called. Not many mighty, not many noble, but God has chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise, and God had chosen the week. Weekend, the word humble, if I remember correctly, but you better check it your texts I just picking it off, from my knowledge could be wrong, the things in the world to confound the things which are mighty, and the base things of the world and the things which are despised, that God chose, and the things which are not, to bring to not things that are that no flesh, should glow. In his one, right? No place, no place, no person, but very starting. And whenever the word buddy is used, it always sets in contrast, that which follows with that which precede. But by in contrast of him, up him up him of him, of him, of God, of him. And if you're of someone, you got seed in you. I'm born of God. This is why I've got seed in me. I'm Victor Paul willwill, because of the seeds that's in me, I'm a son of God, because of the seeds that said me. But of Him, Are ye in home? Price Jason, had wonderful, who have God, who of God is made unto us not something we work for? He's made this unto us, because when we are born again, we are in him. He's made on to us what? Wisdom, righteousness, He is made onto us what the how that agrees with the first part of the chapter is sanctified in Christ. He has made on to us sanctification, and redemption. Not according at his as it is written. He died Gloria let him go Re and hope. I try. If we're going to do any blurring, and we ought to do a lot of it. It ought it never ought to be in our flesh. It never ought to be in the divisions among Christians. But we should glory in the Lord thinks the same thing. Same mind, same opinion, same judgment, and we ought to glory in the Lord. That's where we've got to go at the close of the chair in the opening of a new one. That's where we've been on this youth advance. Journey, Corbin Reverend commons, everybody else. Nancy When you spoke this afternoon, right? All the concern was that the glory that we do as young people might be in the Lord. Because we certainly are not having any glory in our sales. It's got to be in the Lord. And boy, what a tremendous go read that is. And I think last evening, John Summerville was saying to us that most of the young people are just followers of the crowd. In other words, if everybody wears a certain hairdo in school, then you wear that hairdo. When I don't care what kind of hair you do, or what kind of do you hair, that doesn't bother me. Like people, if you young people are going to be like the unbelieving young people in the junior high and up through the 11th grade. Just use advances or big lousy old slump that dry. After the New Year, when you walk back into those schools, you've got to remember that you are Christian, and that you're supposed to walk like a Christian and you don't glory in your place your glory in the Lord, and you'll hold up God's word.

51:29

If the kids want to do something wrong, and everybody's in favor of it up that one person who doesn't make it everybody takes a little does. Oh, boy, look at the fun you have when you stand by yourself.

51:47

Man, you're just so different. That makes it interesting. cause any stupid bird can go along with everybody. But I take some man, a boy or girl up conviction to take a stand. And do you know anything better to stay in for then God's word? I don't Is Art just nothing? Because the very life you have you have because God loves you. Why if the man down on the street would only understand that the reason he can swear to God and called God so and so and tell Jesus to go to hell and everything else is because of the love of God. You get saved on him. He ought to because the very light he has, where God gives him the privilege of cursing him. It's the love of God, you just think you're that God's got to give us some young people that are really turned on. Really turned off. If they can go out and they can die for other things that don't amount to a hill of beans. Certainly you as young people can live for the Lord. Not asking you to die. You know, good when you're dead. Do I want you to be good for him? Yeah, that means you got to live. And you got to live abundantly and dynamically. That doesn't mean you walk into school and say, got it written on the left sleeve. I'm a Christian. Don't ever let me see your right affair. You just live it up here walking. Just walking. Put it on the mind of Christ and you walk this way. When some of the gang wants to do that, which is wrong. Just excuse yourself. Get up. That's why because you're a Christian. You got to take a stand. And if you don't take a stand, nobody will. This is why we're not to glory in a place where to glory and hope.
