Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: resurrection, dead, Christ, death, raised, church, Body, life, die

Take your Bibles tonight and turn to First Corinthians please. The Word of God says that we stand to prove before him as we rightly divide the word which is very common knowledge to all of us from the word. Having been in research for many, many years, and writing and working on lots of these things, of course, I think the greatest thing of course, we have done and the greatest contribution we have made to our day and time is the accuracy with which we handle the Holy Spirit field. Second, secondly, I think the greatest piece of work that we have ever done is that book that is out of print, and we hope to get back in sooner or later on are the dead alive now. It is surprising to me from time to time, after a class has been taught in a certain area, people will say, Well, this is the greatness of God's word, we realize it, but now what can we do about it? We go back in our own churches in our own areas, and they won't listen to us. What can we do about it, you just leave accept. This thing has been sort of gelling in my heart for months. And I think perhaps it crystallized a little bit this week while we were gone, because we were among the Mennonites, many of the Mennonites, many of the Amish, and here are these people were coming in in their horse and buggies. And one little buggy intrigued us very much, which Howard and I saw last night because I've never seen this before in my life. They have little baby beds specially made in the back of the buggy little white bed. And it was it was rather abbreviated form was a bit small baby. And they evidently were bringing their little baby along to the shopping place, and that horse and buggy. And I got to thinking about what stand those people have to take. Everybody laughs at them. Everybody makes fun of them, but they live. And they keep right on sticking to what they believe in, be it Roger, be it wrong. And I wondered about our people to whom we taught the greatness of God's Word. We never extricate them from society. We never tell them they have to wear long beards or do without hard tried to grow on. He was good until something happened last night after we got home, which I don't know much about. But this is where we'll said to me last night, she said, I sure want to see Howard before he shaved that off. But it was gorgeous. But that was that was his doing not mine. I just sort of challenged him that he wouldn't let it grow. But he did. Yes, people, what you believe in you have stand for if the Word of God is true. And if the right dividing of it stands as approved before God That settles it. And it's up to us to just stay faithful on it if nobody believes it. Because we get our reward from the Lord and not from man or from society. Now, it takes a lot of courage. I know this, but it takes a lot more courage if I asked you to go out and buy yourself a horse and buggy and start over that way again. And a lot of other things wouldn't. It doesn't take a great deal of courage to stand for the word. It just takes a conviction. When on every hand round about us in our society, people are really boldly declaring stuff, which is so contrary to God's word. Surely, some of us can really stand for that worried and again saved us if the Lord I do not know who got this news clipping. I saw it on Peters desk. So evidently it came to Peter but it talks about witches. There is a professor, can you imagine using government money, tax money and having a course on witchcraft and satanism at the University of Michigan by a professor. This fella given full time paid for the opportunity of teaching people some of this stuff on how to be a good witch, and how to invite Satan and how to get rid of certain things that you might not enjoy having. For instance, if you want a woman for all of her hair to fall out now, isn't this an interesting subject to discuss? Here's what you do your smear a lock of her hair with tar and paste made from water in a neutral trough that has reflected the moon in a cemetery and bury it in a drain or a cesspool, then she's gonna lose all her hair. Now, if you want to become invisible so nobody can see you. Here's what you do. You boil a cat's ear in cow's milk Then you put the ear of the cat over your right thumb and wear it.

05:06

Boy, that's some really if you want to become a werewolf or something, it you have to have an iron cooking pot, you dumped some water in it, you put some parsley in it, some opium and some saffron. You don't have to eat the glob, it's to attract the devil. And then you have to rub it all over your body with the fat of a freshly killed cat. And you put on a wolf skin and pretty soon the devil will come to you. Now that's what the professor is teaching. And he gets paid for it. But with government money in the students eating this stuff. Well, people, the word has to stand. I want to teach you that great 15 Chapter Corinthians tonight again, I've taught it before. But it's like a lot of things you teach, it can bear repeating. Because no matter how many times you work, the word, it will always deepen itself in your life, and the accuracy of it will simply make you stand in amazement at the greatness of it. I marvel at God's word, time and time again, because of the way in which it is set. Knowing what we do about the 1213 and 14 chapter of Corinthians, where he rectified the difficulties in the operation of the manifestations of the Spirit, along with the gifts of the Spirit. Then he in chapter 50, he rectifies, the common error of teaching regarding the resurrection of the dead, and the rising of those who are dead in Christ. Those two great truths He handles in First Corinthians 15. And we have been about as confused about the 15 chapters. And the true is in it as people have been confused about the Holy Spirit field with which the 12 1314 chapters deal. Now before we read the 15th chapter, and I'm going to read the whole chapter with you tonight, let's just set up a few things that will be coming up and then this will sort of crystallize more deeply in your mind. You cannot have a resurrection, biblically speaking, without everybody being dipped. And inside of the church, the body of the born again, believers, not everybody is going to die. Some will still be alive at the return of Christ. This is why the church, the gathering together of the church is never called a resurrection in the Bible. I know that the theologians referred to it but we're not bound by what theologians referred to we're bound by what the accuracy of the Word teaches. And if you just understood those two great truths, that to have a resurrection, everybody must be dead. And that could only apply to Israel, or to those outside of Christ, who have died. Because it cannot apply to the church because the church will not all die. That's why the dead in Christ will be raised regarding the church regarding Israel, it has to be a resurrection of the 15th chapter. That's these great trues like diamonds. And we'll see tonight, if we can again, get into the great depth of this truth. First one. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel, which I preached gospel is the good news. Good news of the death and the resurrection Lord Jesus Christ or the word Gospel means good news. There's a number of different kinds of good news in the Bible. This particular good news regarding the revelation the Apostle Paul had which is Christ in you, the Gentiles shall be fellow heirs, and you know, all of those things that relate to it, which I preached unto you which also ye have received and wherein ye stand by which also, you're safe. But keep in memory, keep in memory, what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain In other words, if you do not retain the truth of God's word, you're not going to become unsaved once you're saved, but your continuing, believing will be useless will be vain. It just won't, won't help you any. That's what he's saying the worry to have in that verse is not in the text, unless you believed in vain.

10:25

Now, verse three, For I delivered unto you, first of all, in other words I delivered to you, when I received it, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried. That he rose again the third day, according to the look, it always interests me when I read this and think of the what is called the Apostles Creed. In the Apostles Creed, it says, He was crucified, dead, and very, then it says what he descended into hell, Hades. Absolutely useless. When he was buried, he was in the grave. And that's it. That's all the word talks about. But the apostles are the people who formulated and blamed the apostles for it in the Apostles Creed, just got a few extra words in there which are entirely out of order entirely unnecessary. The truth is, in verse four, Jesus Christ was buried. And he rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures, and that he was seen by the facts of his body, then of the 12, after that he was seen above, or more than 500, brethren, at one of whom the greater part remain, are still alive under this present time, at the time when he was writing this revelation to the church in Korea. But some of those are falling asleep. In other words, some of the believers, the born again believers had died. The reason it's called falling asleep, is because there is no consciousness in depth. And where there is no consciousness, there is no time. And therefore, the moment of a person's death is the moment of the awakening, there is no time and that's why they referred to it as falling asleep. You go to bed at night. And lo and behold, the next thing you hear is the alarm clock. And it notes, no consciousness, there are no real awareness, mentally, you're not awake, and therefore there's no time in the moment you go to bed. The next moment, the alarm clock, now even more accurately, the truth of God's word that those who fall asleep, who die in Christ, that there's no consciousness, there's no time. The next moment is the moment of the gathering together, the return of Christ. Verse seven, after that, he was seen of James then of all the apostles. And last of all, he was seen of me also, as one as of one born out of due time. I think the word due time is as a blonde who was aborted. Real intriguing statement. It's the only place I think that that word is used in the Bible, if I remember correctly. And of course, you and I know that what happened on the road to Damascus must be what he is referring to here in verse eight, where I am the least of the apostle. And I'm not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God, I am what I am. Isn't that fabulous? Isn't this true of all of our lives? But by the grace of God, we are what we are today. It's the grace of God. So we need not put on any airs and say, Well, I'm a good fella. I'm a good woman. I'm a good man. I do a lot of these wonders. We are what we are because of by His grace, divine favor. And his grace, which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, was not in vain it it brought fruit it wasn't useless. But I labored more abundantly than they all than all the rest of those people with whom he had been associated, before he was converted,

15:13

yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me, yet not I, he says, by way of what he was, but by what God made him by the grace, that God extended to him, therefore, whether I or they, so we preach, and so you believe. Now, something has happened in the church at Corinth, what has happened? Well, there were some there who preached that Christ did not rise from the dead. And he answers that question in verse 12. Now, if Christ be preached, that He rose, from the Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the same problem today, right? Just like as if he had written it this afternoon. Some of the old texts have the word among in there, which I believe it's accurate, verse 12, knife Christ be preached that he rose from among the dead. There were other dead, who had died, who didn't get up. And this, of course, is really terrific. Because that section in Matthew, remember that is a 26. Take a flip to it one, Matthew 2627.

17:04

Verse 27, it is verse 52. And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city and appeared unto many, the verses 52 and 53, are entirely out of order. There's nothing there in Matthew 27, from the text, or any of the critical Greek texts, which warrants those verses to be in there at all. They were added, many, many centuries later. Because in verse 51, he's talking about the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. And what occurred, the yielded up the ghost in verse 50, you see it. last phrase, 51. And at that time, the whole the veil of the temple was rented between from top to bottom, and the earthquake in the rocks, rent. And verse 54. Now, when the censura, Centurion, and they that were with him, watching, Jesus saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly saying, Truly, this was the Son of God. But verses 52 and 53 stick in there just like a sore thumb, talks about after the resurrection. Right? Nobody got up at that time except the Lord Jesus Christ. That's what he's talking about in Corinthians. That He arose from among the depth in verse 12. And how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not one result. And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith, your believing, is also being the word vain in here I gave you a lot of literally should be to no purpose, to know useful. If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain because you remember Romans 10 Nine, if you confess with your mouth was Lord Jesus, believing God did raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Everything is dependent upon His resurrection, Christ's resurrection. And if Christ is not risen, then is our preaching. To no purpose and your believing is also the know purpose. And verse 15. Yay. And we are I found false witnesses of God, because we testified of God the Word have is not going to pick. Because we testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom he raised not up. If so be that's a dead rise, not. Now there it is. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is one thing, but it is that thing which guarantees that the dead are going to rise also the point now, For if the dead rise, not very 60, then is Christ, not raised. And if Christ be not raised, you're believing in Him is vain or no useful purpose. You are yet in your sin. Then, verse 18, they also which are fallen asleep in Christ, perish. Are is not, then they also which are fallen asleep, in Christ, Paris. If in this life only, we have hope in Christ, if there is no hope, for His return, no hope for the gathering together no hope for the resurrection. We are of all men most miserable, we are of all men to be most pity, would be a very fine translation of that word miserable. Pity. Would it be pity, if we only have hope, in this life, for what Christ has accomplished, and no hope for his return. But in contrast, now what, but now, Christ is risen from the dead. And become is not in the text. But now, Christ is risen from the dead. The first fruit, the first fruit of them that left, the first fruit means he's our first one, you know, nobody else.

22:29

Forward since by man, Adam, came death by man. Also, the resurrection of the depth. You see, by Adam, we have a natural affinity with him in depth. But in Christ, we also have an affinity which hinges upon the resurrection of Christ from the dead. Now look how he handles this beautifully. Read it again. Verse 21, were sent by man. By the way, the air Greek gives it if I remember correctly, the man out of the man, not a man the man was sent by man. Adam came dead by man, Jesus Christ. Are you like them? By God, game buddy. Man, the man right? Man, game also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam, all die, be the word all. That is not true. Regarding the church, the body but it is true regarding Israel up why it has to be because not everybody in the church is going to die. This is talking about the resurrection of the dead For as in Adam, all die. All referring to Israel die, even so in Christ shall all dead like Israel be made alive. The church is not all dead. Look at verse 51. Before we go any further this chapter, Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all one sleep. We shall not all die. We shall all be one. He has to be talking about something else and he is They have never seen that that word all in verse 22. refers specifically, I'm primarily to the believers of the Israel lytic line. And they are dead, all of them. Because with the coming of the church on the day of Pentecost, and to this day, those old covenant believers are all dead. Holy, the new one since the day of Pentecost, some are still living. But every man each one is the tech. But each one in his own order. Christ the first fruit. afterwards. After what, after Israel after all of that afterwards, afterwards, the church, they that are Christ's app is coming, the word added the word will. They're going to have to get up. We made alive. But each one in its proper order. All Israel one thing. The church, the body, something else the orders, one to know for Christ, the first fruit, that's number one. Afterwards, the church the body of believers, they that are Christ's with his was coming. The next people who will be getting up Christ is the only one who's gotten up so far. The next people who will be getting up are those who have fallen asleep in him since the church, the body. Then, verse 24. The end, the end is the word Kalos. Not son Taleo, the word Taillow. And I describe this to you like the tail on a dog.

27:30

The whole tail is the end of the dog. And yet the end of the tail is different than the whole tail, which is the end. The word, the word for the end would be the tail end of a dog would be some failure. But the end of the end of the end of the tail is the word Tail. Tail end of the whole tail. That's the word that used to. But the end of it, the tail end of the last thing, when it's all when it's all over with when all the dead have gotten up and so forth. The M commerce when he delivered, shall have is not in the text. When he delivers up the kingdom to God. The kingdom here refers to that his personal presence upon Earth which is the kingdom of heaven. See. That's when this culminates that kingdom is just his personal presence, he delivering this to God, even the father, when he shall have put down, have put down literally is translated, brought to not all rule that's all wrong rule, and all authority and all that devil is power. For Jesus Christ he verse 25, must reign on kill, he has put all enemies against the true God under his fate. And under his feet, you know has to be a figure simply where he is in absolute control over the whole situation. And verse 26 is tremendous. The last enemy the last enemy, not friend, the last enemy that shall be destroyed as well. That's what the Word says that what is No matter how the poet's write about death being so glorious, death being such a blessing and death being so wonderful, it's alive from hell. Death is an enemy. And the last enemy that is to be destroyed, is this. Verse 27. Or he cried, tears, put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it has manifested, it's clearly evidence that Jesus Christ is accepted, he is not under his own feet, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued, subjective, you know, brought down under foot subjective, is a much better translation and subdue. And when all things shall be subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected unto God, who put all things under him, that God may be all in all that he may be total depravity. How in the world could God put himself under himself? Now, verse 29, I will give you the accurate translation of it, and bypass

31:35

the terrible translation the King James boys, verse 29, l. What are they doing which are baptized? It is for dead body, if the dead rise not at all.

31:59

Why are they then baptized? For the dead, like, you see, reading from verse 19, on to 29 gives you the whole thought, context because 20 The 28 is a parentheses

32:27

19 sales. If in this life only we have hope in Christ were of all men to be most pity. And what are they doing which are baptizing? It's for dead bodies. It could just for dead bodies, If Christ if the dead rise not at all. Why are they named baptized for the dead? If they're not, there's not going to be any rising. I do not believe that this verse includes water. I believe every commentary says it does. But I do not believe that. I believe this refers to the baptism of the presence of Christ. When a person confesses with his mouth Lord Jesus, God raised Him from the dead. And that it's like it says in Acts that, you know, on the day of Pentecost, when they were born again of God's Spirit, they were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, not with slaughter, but by what that name represents. And the reason I believe that is because we're talking about the very thing Christ died for. And God raised Him from the dead fro and how the last enemy is going to pose all of those things, and we must here be talking about the new birth.

33:57

You see, if in this life only we would have hope in Christ, we'd be very of all men most pity. But this is, we do not need to be pity because we are baptized. What do else what are they doing which are baptized? It would be for dead bodies. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, don't you see? If we only believed in him now and there is no return, then we would have no eternal life, and our bodies would simply have no eternal life in and they just be dead bodies. That's what he's talking. You see that verse 29 at all. That thing's almost unbelievable. That's why you believe when I get through teaching tonight, I'll give you opportunity to ask all the questions. Like, don't you have any just writing down? Right 30? And why sad we in jeopardy every hour I affirm protest is affirm by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus, I die daily. If after the manner of men, I thought have is not the text, I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it means, if the dead rise not let us eat and drink for tomorrow we want to see how this whole thing makes sense.

35:48

Else what are they doing which are baptized, it'd be for dead bodies if the dead rise not at all. Why are them baptized for the dead? wouldn't make any sense. Let us eat, drink and be married? And why should I put my life on the block? Every hour? Why should I, after the manner of men fought with beasts at Ephesus? What What advantages to me? If the dead arise, not be the context? Beautiful? Why do you and I beat our brains out trying to get people to hear God's word if there is no resurrection from the dead? If there is no return of Christ to gathering together, why do you want to beat your brains out? You want that's what he said. He said the reason I put my head on the block every day for the people. The reason I die daily, or the people the reason I have even thought with peace like at Ephesus. What advantages me if the dead right in other words, he wouldn't have gone through it all if he had not known of a certainty that there was a gathering. So believe that when you had run the gamut of life, and you'd pretty well had the joys of what you thought you wanted. The best thing to do is commit suicide hovered over with while the upper Korean said Well, boy, we've just gone live it up. We're going to eat and drink and pay no attention to whatever else happens tomorrow, we may die, but we're gonna have a good time doing it. Well, verse 33, says Be not deceived. Evil communications associations, corrupt good manners, good morals. What's he talking about? These people who said that there is no resurrection of the dead. He said, If you're going to associate with those people, evil associations are going to corrupt your good morals. Your good believing is not true. You can teach a man the greatness of God's word. But then if he starts going back among those other unbelievers who don't even get close to rightly dividing the word, it isn't very long, till they're back in that same old it's really something how you can take a rotten apple and put it in a barrel of good apples. And the good apples get rotten, but you put a good apple into a barrel full of rotten apples, the rotten apples don't get good. And people, people buy evil Association. And he calls it association with people who contradict God's Word that Christ is going to come back there's going to be a resurrection, or return of Christ. If you associate with those, he says, God says in His word, that evil cut associations are going to corrupt your good morals. Now I didn't write the book. Boy, this is what happens to people. That's why I believe when the scripture says come apart and be separated, and have nothing to do with the ungodly, it's talking about this kind of thing. After you're born again, then you ought to walk on the greatness of God's Word. And not get hitched off with those unbelievers are always tearing the word to peace. or cutting it up one way or another. Awake. In other words, get your eyes open to righteousness. Well what righteousness, the righteousness which you have in Christ Jesus because you're barn again. And Sam not it is sin, to be evil in your associations with others who corrupt your good morals

40:15

that sin or some have not the knowledge of God concerning the return of Christ the resurrection the dead Chara.

40:31

He says, I speak this to your face. But some verse 35 manuscripts, but some will say, how are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come? Oh that which thou Solis is not quick and not made alive, except it was done. And that which thou Solis thou so it's not that body that form that shall be, but bear grain, bear naked. Take a kernel of wheat, you put it in the ground that's just naked bear grain on it. You sold that grain of wheat, that's not the grain you get. What he says, it may perhaps be weak, or some other. But in contrast, like the wheat card, oats, barley, God, talking about man, give it a body as it has pleased him. And to every seed, its own body, every seed, its own buddy,

42:08

isn't it? I look what he does. Another illustration verse 39. All flesh is not the same place. But one flesh of men. One flesh obese one a patient, one a bird. There are also celestial bodies, you know, celestial heavenly spirit body, Angel, Devil spirits, etc.

42:44

And body terrestrial earthly bodies. The glory of the celestial is one and the glory of the terrestrial the earth sleep is headphones and other very sporty one. Another illustration, one glow real the sun and other glory of the moon. Another glory that stars for one star different from another star in glue. So also is the resurrection of the dead now he's talking about resurrection plain as day. Resurrection of the Dead. That body is sown in corruption. It is raised in in corruption. The dead bodies have corrupted. And this is why the word incorruption has to be used regarding those who have died.

44:08

It is sown in dishonor, the body is sown in dishonor. In the ground. He goes in dishonor. Meaning, in essence, it corrupts. That's what he's talking about. But when it is raised, that body is raised in Watts, Globe. That body is sown in weakness because of weakness. The body dies, it's sown in weakness, but when it is raised, it is raised in what it is sown a natural body, plain enough. The natural body is put in the ground, body and soul man, natural body. It is raised however, a spiritual body there is A natural body and there is a watt at the time of the resurrection, the spiritual body so what is written, the first man Adam, the atom was made a living soul. Like Genesis doesn't. The last atom, Jesus Christ, a quickening spirit and life giving spirit. Now the last Adam, He's talking about Jesus Christ at the time of His resurrection. I'll be it. That was not first. That was not the first atom, which is spiritual. But that which is not true, the atom, and afterwards after the resurrection of Christ, then you have that which is what? Spiritual 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy. The second man is the Lord is scratched from him, the second man from him. The first man is of the earth, earthy, but the second man from heaven, well who raised Jesus Christ, God raised Jesus Christ from what we read, raised him the third, that's what he's talking about. The second man didn't come from heaven. Dysley but God from Heaven this way raised the second Adam from the grave, the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember them in verse 47. I haven't thought that anybody for a long, long time. doesn't talk about the, you know, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ when He was born here on Earth. This is talking about the second man when God had raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Verse 48, as is the earthy, Such are they also which are early? And as is the heavenly Such are they also which are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, The natural man, we shall absolutely without any question also bear the image, the likeness of Christ. What was he like when God raised Him from the dead that's what we shall not talking about Israel you're talking about the born again believers. Watch it Now this I say Brother, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. neither does corruption automatically inherit a lot in corruption, trust neither corruption inherits in corruption. Do I show you a mystery word show you know me tell. The whole I'll tell you a mystery. We can tell it we shall not all sleep now the text reads as follows. We shall not all be sleeping

49:13

participles form breeds anyways, I know that's what it is to be sleeping.

49:24

But we shall all be one cage in a moment, in a moment. And the word moment is translated from the word ATM here at O N at not ATM. ATM. The only place in the Bible the word Adam Tooze ATM order to interesting if you really work that down, you know with what we know today about the atom and busting it up and breaking it up in a moment when you imagine the blow in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump the different last Trump's that are mentioned like in the Gospel talks about the last trump. Over here it talks about the last trump and they got the trump of the Gospels all mixed up with the trumpet. A verse 50, do I give God good nap more than one trumpet to blow? Business blow. Problem. This is talking about the time of the gathering together. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump for the trumpet, you'll sound and the dead shall be raised in corruptible. Why do the dead have to be raised in corrupt? Because they have what? corrupted and corruption will not inherit in corruption automatically, They corrupted must be raised. And that refers to people who have done and we we those alive at that time shall be one. Why do they not have to be raised incorruptible? Because they have not won? Oh, that's just plain sense. Right? Watch verse 53, For this corruptible that which those which have died, must put on what? And this mortal the one who is still living is called a mortal must put on what? Immortal? There the two usages just like diamonds. And they're used with a mathematical exactness and scientific precision. That's why when people talk about the immortality of the soul, like Hegel and Kant and Plato a bunch of baloney. They talk about the immortality of the soul in our churches of today a bunch of baloney, there is no immortality of the soul. The only immortality is that mortal who is changed when the Lord returns, who makes him immortal? The mortality rates 54 So when time when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, and not until then then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in one globally be verse 25 says he must reign till he put all enemies onto his feet. 100 feet, the last enemy that shall be destroyed is what? That's right. Then when Death is swallowed up in victory that's when it's going to come to pass. Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written. Death is swallowed up in victory. Oh, death? Where is icing? Oh, great. Where is my victory? You see the poems and all the rest of talk about crossing the bar and the gloriousness of it. Just contrary to anybody who has ever gone through an experience of a loved one die knows that there is a sting in death. And the Protestants read all of this stuff at you know, at a memorial service,

54:24

and they read it like it. If it's a reality now that there is no such thing in death. It's not a reality now. It'll only be a reality when all of this has been accomplished for us. Then there'll be no singing death. Now there's an awful sting in it. The word grave in verse 55. In four or five critical Greek texts is the word death. I do not Believe it needs to be, I believe it could stay as it is. Or death Thanatos Where is biting? or death? where is thy victory? It could go that way. But I think it could also be great. The word grave of course is Hades, the dead, corruptible put on in corruption. I really do not know. Maybe I do. Yes, I think it'll go to Hades. And I believe that we you could work this word from Revelation 118. And Ray said he had the keys of the grave, and so forth. But it's their water you got Greek over there later on. Let's talk a little bit about this time. You got Greek with you. They're just Ballinger. I know it's fun Pitocin to gelous and some of the rest of them but I do not see why it would have to be. Okay, verse 56. That sting of death is sin. The sting of death is due to sin. And the strength of sin is the law. Without the law, you would have no no sin. But verse 37, look at it. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory? Oh over death and everything else who give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, therefore, my beloved brothers be steadfast on moveable, unshakeable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. I need a message like this from time to time because a man gets discouraged. You know, you think well, what's the you beat your brains out? Well, Paul said the same thing. Why did I put my life in jeopardy day after day? The reason we do the reason we stand for God's word is because of the certainty of the resurrection and the return of Christ. Therefore, we are steadfast, unmovable, absolutely unshakable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in Oh, that's what it says. And we don't condition our lives by how I feel. I have to condition my life by what the Word of God says no matter how I see. That's why we stand unshakeable, always abounding in the work of the Lord knowing that our labor is not a lot invade if nobody believed our labors still would not be what in the man that's fabulous. Along with this 15th Chapter, you have to go to Thessalonians, chapter four verse 13, but I would not have you ignorant brethren, concerning them which are watts, that Geez sorrow not even as others which have no hope, and you can have no hope. If you do not believe in the return of Christ, there is no hope, unless there is a return. Or if we believe that Jesus died and rose again in the new birth, remember now, even so, them also which asleep or which sleep in Jesus, well God, bring with him. after something has happened to the corruption has put on lots and the mortal has put on what are this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain on killed Coming up the Lord shall not precede them, which are what? Asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Not a resurrection, but the dead in Christ are going to lot rise. The reason he said, couldn't use the word resurrection, because some will not need to be resurrected, only the corruption will have to put on in corruption, there will be people alive who will be believers called mortals, those will have to put on what immortality? Why the dead in Christ arise first, then, verse 17, we which are alive. Remaining Europe on earth at the time of that return, shall be caught up together with them, those who have just been raised in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these luck? Now that's in chapter five. What are the times and the seasons brother and you have no need, that I write unto you? Or yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord which is the Lord's day, come as a thief in the night? Or when they shall say peace and safety then sudden destruction come upon them as prevail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape but gi brother, and are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as that they? Well, hallelujah, let alone Oh, and all the commentary say that he's coming like a thief in the night you don't know. He's coming just, we don't know. Know the times. But we know he's coming. And we are born again. Therefore we are ready now. We're not in darkness, that he's going to overtake us as a thief.

1:02:40

Chapter Two of Second Thessalonians. First one, Now we beseech you, brethren, with the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him. That's what it's called to church. It's not a resurrection. It's called the gathering together on tickets. The dead in Christ will have to be raised. But those who are alive at that time, who are mortals will have to put on what have you got it? That GB not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, either by spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us, that the day of price is already at hand. Like no man deceive you. by any mean. For that day shall not come. Let's drop that day shall not come and read it. For except there come a falling away. First is great air. The word is the departure. let Matt Let no man deceive you by any means. For except there come the departure first, and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition. The day of Christ is not at hand. I get older. Well I just remember what we read in verse two. as that the day of the Lord the day of Christ is at what? Hand verse two got it? The words that day shall not come that day of Christ shall not Come, the words are quite accurately supplied. And if it makes more sense, read it that way. Let no man deceive you by any means for that day of Christ shall not come, except there first come a watch. Departure, the departure I've done a piece of work on that someplace in one of our writing. Remember it? Is it in a magazine or worried we ought to dig it out again some time and make a little curse. It was Rachel Lyons that first brought this great truth to my attention. That was fabulous, because the commentaries teach that there has to be a great falling away, before Christ will return. That is not what this is talking about. It says there is first going to be a great departure. Why they call it the den Christ are going to be what raised and those which are alive are going to be what? Change, he's going to gather the church first before that son of perdition, the man of sin is revealed. This is why we can't go through the revelation period, don't you understand? Why would he want to send his sons and daughters through that hell of a time when he's redeemed us from all the wrath of Satan and so forth. Lovely, tremendous truth. Well, that's basically all there is in the read of God, to set together that breaks 15 chapters, re talks about resurrection on one hand, and about the dead in Christ, rising mortals putting on immortality and corruption putting on in all Israel is dead, they will have to be what? resurrected, the church will never be resurrected, because some will still be alive at His return. And the church will be the first people up and the first people to be chained with kids coming. We shall be gathered together, beat the Lord in the air, not here upon Earth meeting there, then the church will be coming to the earth with the Lord. When he come to put the whole thing in order and the last enemy to be destroyed, we'll be watching.

1:08:04

Now, do you have any questions on the 15 chapter? That's loading. Is there anything else? All right, any 15 First Corinthians 13. Okay.

1:08:19

Resurrection of the Dead. That in reference to the other resurrection,

1:08:25

people being raised by

1:08:27

verse one now, that 42 This is only talking about corruption raised in corruption, not talking about mortals.

1:08:42

Referring to the resurrection, again, the raising of the dead in Christ.

1:08:48

No. This is talking about the resurrection. And the resurrection includes not only the resurrection of believers is really includes the resurrection of all unbelievers. spiritual bodies, it says they're going to have a body as it pleases him out now talking about about the believers about the believers is a spiritual body. Well, I don't think you can see it here particularly I think, perhaps this section in Revelation may help us. Where is that in Revelation 20 Chapter 20. Let the rest of the dead Marie's five live not again. Until the 1000 years were finished. At that end of those 1000 years, when all those dead get up, this is the first resurrection. And in Matthew 24, it says that the resurrection is the resurrection of the just. So this first resurrection is a resurrection of the just now, bless it and holy as He that part in the first resurrection. On such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him 1000 years, when the 1000 years or expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, shall go out and deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, and so forth. Then verse 12, what's 11 And I saw a great white throne in him that sat on it, from whose face the earth in heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great stand before God. And the books were open, another book was open, which is a book the life and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works, and to see gave up the dead which ran it, and death and Hades delivered up the dead which were in them. And they were judged every man according to their works. And death and Hades were cast in the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Putting this together with Matthew 24. Immediately, verse 29, after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, the moon shall not give a light to stars shuffle their shell, and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man and heaven, then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn the the Son of man come the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Before that. He says in verse 16, let them which been the duty of play in the mountains led him which is in the house cop, not come down to take anything out of the house, neither let him which is the field returned back to take his clothes while on to them that are with child, so on and so forth.

1:12:31

In 31, he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heaven to the other. Right 36 But of that day, an hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah words, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. And if you carry this all the way through, you'll see that this in relationship to the resurrection, referring both to believers and to unbelievers, as we just read from Revelation gives you that whole resurrection deal. And I just chapter 15, everything wouldn't hurt it anyway. Alright, that help any Danny?

1:13:31

Well, I understand. And I can see that the only thing that he said, there is no resurrection of the church, because they all would not be dead.

1:13:44

42 doesn't say anything about the church, of the resurrection, the dead, but by content.

1:13:51

I can do it refers to the resurrection of the dead in Christ.

1:13:55

Are there threats resurrection, not only those who are dead in Christ as we think of him being getting Christ now, but those who look for his day like it says, Abraham saw his day. Those old testament men believed in his coming, this is what gave them the righteousness and so forth. That's the resurrection part. It only talks about resurrection of believers here. And the dead in Christ shall rise for the believers of the Body of Christ. Those are the two things in Corinthians 15 That he's concerned about. He's not concerned about the resurrection here, of the unbeliever in printing

1:14:53

a natural body

1:15:01

It refers to first of all, to the Old Testament believers. And only in as far as some in the church have died, will they have to come up incorruptible but it's not a resurrect. Right now that that the unbelievers who will be raised in that final resurrection, which is the second one the second resurrection, which is the resurrection of the unjust those people could not have a spiritual body. They have to be raised in a body that he gives to and that I think is what Mr. Bolen was seeing there. Every seat after as it pleases Him. So how what kind of body they will have? I don't know.

1:16:18

Second All right. Yes, done. It'll be it's in that manuscript. It will be in there again. And when we get it published. Good. Those of you have a copy of the lot. Salt. Oh, it's in that thing. It's, I was thinking how the dead alive now it's in the church, the great mystery revealed in that book? Yes. I am saying, I do not know what kind of bodies are going to have. It's not going to be the spiritual body, which is referred to here in Corinthians 15. That's right, because this is a quickening spirit. You know, in current in Corinthians 13, when we shall see Him face to face, this should be like he is and so forth. That body, that spiritual body, all we know about it is what we know from the word everything else is just guesswork. One minute he was on the road to Emmaus, that very same day, he was inside of the room, where the apostles were gathered together in the role there except Thomas, the doors were shut, remember locked for fear that use what type of body that is? I don't know. But that's what part of it. It's good. It's really tremendous. When you think about it, we think how fabulous it is to go to the moon. And in such a short period of time, we'll think of how wonderfully speedy the travel is with that spiritual body. And that which he has in store for His church. The body is even greater than that which he has in store for Israel under the law. That's why the church is gathered together. The Pope Israel is resurrected. Miss George, can you all all men want to die. That's implying there's a second death in that correct? direction.

1:18:54

I don't think you've quoted it quite right. I believe it says, as it is appointed unto man wants to die, isn't it? We better look it up and read it accurately then. I believe that that scripture refers in God's foreknowledge. He knows when a man is going to die. But he also knows that some are not going to die. But not true man. It's appointed his time of death. God knows if he's going to die because of His foreknowledge. What is it? Read it exactly to me, Mr. Mrs. Bowen right, as it is appointed on demand once to die. Alright, is that a quotation from the Old Testament lecture? Reference on that?

1:20:07

I do not believe there's anything in the Old Testament on that if I remember now, but I could be wrong, why I'm asking the question. Alright. Anyone else? Yes? Else what are they doing? Which are baptized? Question It is for dead bodies. If the dead rise not at all, period, why are they then baptized? For the dead? Question? Alright, anyone else? People some of these great things, in a word in the Word of God. You just have to work and work and work and work till it settles itself in your mind and your understanding. If Christ meant no more to us than what he meant to Israel, then to keep the mystery a secret would have been a waste of time. But he kept the mystery a secret, so that we who come in last really stand first, the greatest, the save for the body, the church, the body of believers. And what a wonderful, wonderful thought this is. When you consider the statement that Christ made the works that I do, you shall do also greater works than I've done you shall do when I go to my Father which is in heaven. And we can lead someone into the new birth something Christ could not do. We can see them filled with the Spirit in manifestation. What a wonderful ministry God's given to the church, the Body of Believers.
