Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: commandment, law, walk, confess, broken, truth, Christ, transgression, born, darkness

Once you take your Bibles and turn into the first epistle of John tonight. Now perhaps some of you old timers who have been with me for many, many years in our research and teaching ministry may recall that many years ago, and when I say many years ago, I'm thinking of terms of 1012 years ago, perhaps I originally taught some of you people, the meaning of the fourth verse in the third chapter, where it says that sin is the transgression of the law. And I taught you that this was inaccurate, that it could never have read this at all. And then I forgot about it. And as as happened so frequently, in my teaching ministry, I have taught something which I've worked out, then I forget where I got all this stuff from, and how I worked it all out. And but I remembered the truth of it. And so I may go on for four or five or six years, and basically give the truth on it. And yet, somehow or other, never be able to remember where I originally got some of the documentation from. And people seem to always want to bug you and say, Well, where did you get it from documented for me, show it to me. Well, bless the Lord. It's God's word. If you never find any documentation, it's tips. And what I ran into this again this week, because somebody was trying, or they're still after me, and I'm still looking. They again, want me to document the record in Matthew, in 27, in I forget verses 52 or 53, someplace in there, where it talks about the time the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, how there was was a great earthquake. And then they inserted two verses of scripture in there, which are just stick out like a sore thumb. And it talks about dead people being raised, and walking around in the city of Jerusalem. And then the third verse after that goes right on with the Centurion. And that which occurred, those two verses just never were in any original text. And I've been trying to document this also. And I find out that I usually I am like, I usually I'm never able to tell a story twice, the same way. So my people have, some of the people have it, from the fifth century to the 11th century. And I figured they figured out couldn't be off this far. So I have to get it closer in that, I would pretty well say that it was not in any text, until well, you figure it out sometime between the fifth and the 11th. But someday you'll find it. But here tonight, I have on the teaching platform with me, a very prized copy of a New Testament, which was given to me as a gift in Florida many, many years ago, after I'd been teaching a class, the woman asked me if I would like to have it, because he said it was in this New Testament that she had read in that x record in chapter two where it says, And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, that she had read in this text, a sound from heaven as of a heavy breathing. And this is the text that has that and I'd forgotten it. But it is it is noted, of course in the Holy Spirit book in the footnote on Acts chapter two, and that verse. And this, by the way, is also the text that has the work in it on sin being the transgression of the law, this is where I must have originally got started on it. And if you need documentation, there's the proof to the critics. But you see critics wouldn't believe God's word anyways if you showed it to him. So but this is the text that has it in and some of these tremendous things are things we hope to someday mark, they've been laying back there in that bookcase that showcase back there, which has, has some of the real great work in it. Like this is perhaps as I told Peter, before we walked in, I wouldn't take $1,000 for this New Testament who couldn't buy it for any amount of money because just that one truth alone, if there were no others, just that one alone. Just bless my soul that I have no value on it. You just can't buy it. It's like my children. I just wouldn't sell God the Word of God is precious to to get to this verse, which we're going to be covering. I believe that I want to go back to the first chapter with you tonight. Because this epistle of John

04:52

this epistle of John has been so erroneously handled, because they just have not seen the great house. receive the Word of God in the first four verses are like an introduction. In the first chapter, the first four verses are likely an introduction, we will read him Listen, That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, and which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon and our hands have handled, of the word of life. Then comes the parentheses in verse two, for the life was manifested, talking about Jesus Christ, and we have lot seen it, and bear witness, bear witness, and so on to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us. So you go back to verse one, the last words and then to verse three, our hands have handled of the word of life, that which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you, that G also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship was with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ is a marvelous thing to see in this record. That there were basically nothing but witnesses. As I have told our people so many, many times, if you have truth, you need not argue about it. There is no course in apologetics for truth. The reason we have to have a course in theological realm and apologetics is because they have propounded so much error, and then you go to substantiate the error. And that's why you need a course and apologize if it's true, you're just witness to it and forget about it. Like Rufus Mosley used to say, tell a lie, you have to remember it. Now the truth you can forget about it. If it's truth, we don't have to argue about it, we don't have to fight about it. We just witness to it. Just witness to it. That's exactly what they said. That's exactly what they were concerned about. For the life was manifested, verse two, we have seen it and we bear what witness and by bearing witness, we show forth that eternal life. In our bearing of our witness, it shows in the bearing of the witness. That which we have seen and heard, declare, we undo, you cannot go any further than what you're taught. Remember, in the foundational class, I teach First Corinthians 12 to early in the class, where I show our people that those people and Koreans were worshipping dumb idols, because that was the way they had been watched. Glad you can't go beyond where your land watch you watch you believe tonight is because of where you been led. You cannot believe any further than what you know. And truthfully, no one can teach you any more than what he knows. And the reason we are tonight where we are is because of the way in which we have been led will be tomorrow, as far as our believing can take us according to the way we've been live. Now, he says that which we have seen, and that which we have heard, you can't declare anything, but that we do have seen and back what you have heard unto you, that he also may have fellowship, fellowship with us. Oh, that's a tremendous thing. When you're born again of God's Spirit, when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you get sonship with God. You cannot have fellowship in the family of God until you first have sonship this is just logic. No more so then my child can have fellowship in the world well, family until it's first born. It must be born. When the child is born, then it can have fellowship in the family. This epistle is talking about fellowship, then it's not talking about a person becoming a Christian. It's talking about a person who is already a Christian, that we might have fellowship. It is God's will for the Christian believers to have fellowship on an horizontal level.

09:44

But most of the times if you want fellowship, you can't have it with Christians. We got to go down to Cornerstone some place or in some back alley. That's where you find people you can talk to and have fellowship with because it seems like every time somebody gets To be a Christian, he sort of isolates himself he belongs to this denomination or that denomination, or this past or that caste. And then you cannot communicate. And the reason for this is because all of our denominational stuff is built on man made opinion rather than set on the word. And he said that this which they had seen and which they had heard, they declared that in the declaration, there could be a fellowship. And a fellowship is a sweet thing. The nice to have this many people in the auditorium like we do every Sunday nights and all the rest of the people in the classes is a tremendous thing. It's a fellowship. But boy, when you have to stand alone, and there's just nobody standing with you, it gets to be sort of a wonderful walk only in a perpendicular way, but it lacks the joy of the fellowship on an horizontal plane. Now, this fellowship is to be on a horizontal level, also on a perpendicular listen to this, that we may you may also have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship, our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ. That wonderful. Now to have fellowship, you must first have sonship remember that? Now look at verse four. And these things right we unto you, that your joy may be what? Full, not half full, but lots full. And if it's full, it's one. This is not happiness. This is joy, joy is an inside job. Happiness is dependent upon the environment or the surrounding. Now many people are happy, but they're miserable. When it comes to things on the inside, they're happy on the outside with the material things or the friends they have, but they lacked a serenity of peace on the inside. And that's that joy comes only with the birth of Christ in the renewed mind on the accuracy of God's word. That's how the joy, that your joy may be full. These things we communicate that which we have heard and seen, we witness to and communicate that our fellowship may be on a horizontal plane as well as with the father in a perpendicular relationship, that our joy may be what, whoa. Ladies and gentlemen, why can't we walk out of this auditorium tonight, people with their shoulders back in their heads held high and praising the Lord for what he wrought in Christ Jesus. First we have what the Word says we have we are what the Word says we are. So we've got to just boldly declare this and walk this way. Well, that's the introduction. Verse four is the introduction. Verse five, now sets forth the message. This, then now is what the message, this is the message now, which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is what light and in him is no darkness at all. God is light. Well Bless the Lord. This is truth. Now, how can you and I have fellowship? If you believe God is darkness and I believe he's light. Or if you would believe he's Park darkness, and park light, we couldn't have fellowship. The only way I can have fellowship with you and you can have fellowship with me on on an horizontal level would be that we both would hear and see and declare what the Word says in the Word says, God is was like, in him is no us. That's what it says. That's what it means. Therefore, all of this teaching today, which has been propounded ever since the day of the reformations and before that there is only one God and that that one god is responsible for everything that happens is just a bunch of plain baloney. That's right. That makes God a feed. In other words, if he'd be out here killing people because he loved him so much, how in the world could you reconcile that with the word where it says God is light in his image, no darkness. If God was out here making people sick, because he wants to keep him humble, what kind of a god would that be? That's exactly what all of us were taught at one time or another. Right dabeli that's what it is. And you see, everybody knows that the teaching doesn't fit the facts. But we never smart enough to want to admit it. Until somebody gets us in the depth of the word and God by His Spirit touches our lives, then we come to the words. Like a fella teaches that sicknesses from the two gods, God puts it on you. Then if he's got one sickness, he ought to pray for two of them. Because God, it'd be twice as good to eat that right by sheer logic. If a person, for instance, has a migraine headache, and he says, This is what God gave me to keep me humble. Then if God really gave it to him, and he loves God, he ought to ask God to give him twice that migraine headache that would make him twice as humble. But we, you know, like puts the light of that statement like, why a person has a headache? Even if he doesn't know God, he gets himself an aspirin. Sometimes he knows God, he does it anyway. Or Bufferin, which has more energetic potentialities, and it does it quicker, I guess. You see, God is watt light. This is the message. And when he starts the message, the first thing he says God is love. Life in him is no darkness at all. Why doesn't the church walk on? This stands first in the message. God is like his fans first because God wants it first. He wants His people to know that he is like, and that in him, there's absolutely no darkness at all. This is his word. Man, oh man, look at very sick. If we say if we say that we have fellowship with Him. But we walk in darkness. Man could say he's in fellowship, but he walks in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is the light, we he and I God and I have fellowship, one with another, not a wonderful. Some months ago, I taught you one Sunday evening on those three words as he is. Can you imagine if we walk in the light as He is, as God is, as he is? I just taught you on those three words. And the five or six times that those three words are used in the Epistle of First John and then we published it in this little book, it's a great piece of work, you ought to master it. You ought to read it, understand it so that you can communicate it without anybody being able to you know, disconcert you in the process thereof. If we walk in the light as He is, as he is, as he is, well, how is he? He is light. That's the message the first thing he is like. Wonderful. Then he and I, we have fellowship, one with another. But the blood of Jesus Christ. His Son cleanses us from all sin, from all sin. And I consistently keep asking people, What kind of sin and they always answer all. No, no, no, no. All is the amount in our people. The amount I asked them what kind of sin the kind of sin we're talking about. The subject is fellowship, he and I walking together. He has the light and I walking in the light as He is the light. Then he and I have fellowship, one with another. But if I walk in darkness, I am still his son in a perpendicular relationship. But he and I have no luck. Fellowship. I still have sonship in the family of God, just like I have sonship in an earthly family. When I'm born into that family, even when I am a disobedient boy a naughty boy. I still am a member of the family. I'm just out of fellowship. Daddy's got to take you behind the woodshed if you still got one or the other. Take them there more frequently today.

19:57

Now thought I thought about the University of San Francisco this week. I just wonder where in the blades as some of our parents have been the last 30 years 20 years. They must just never correct their children on anything. Just nothing from the time that barn Wow. God is like, get off of it where will father says all right with me. I'm glad to be knocking some heads together. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin from all broken flop, fellowship. And anytime I break fellowship with the Father, I'm still his son, but I'm out of fellowship. I'm not walking in the light as He is was the light. That's right. Then comes that tremendous. Next section, listen to this. If we say that we have no sin, no broken fellowship. Afterwards sons of God, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. We're lying like truth. But verse nine, if, if, if, if, if we confess our walk, then what kind of sin are broken fellowship? Context is so simple and so easy, and it's so plain, so beautiful, so accurate. If we confess our broken fellowship, he God is what? Faithful. Boy, I'm thankful that this verse is not dependent upon the agreement of theologians. They have never got to this drive. But if we confess our broken fellowship, the word says God is what? Faithful, God is faithful. And God is just to forgive us. Our sins, our broken fellowship. And all broken fellowship is sin. And we just learned that from verse seven. And when he forgives us of our broken fellowship, he covers all unrighteousness No, he does what blame

22:37

binds us from all unrighteousness. A lot of difference between covering and cleanse. Like I tell our people in the class is the difference between having a garbage can that's got the lid on it.

22:53

And just having a brand new garbage can, or one that's all washed out with real strong detergent or something shiny on the inside, he cleanses under the Old Testament and under the law, he just covered their sin, He put a lid on top of it so he couldn't see the junk that was in the cans. But in Christ Jesus and how wonderful it is. This is why he said that the Christians ought to be especially good to each other to the household of faith. They ought to love one another, they ought to be in fellowship with one another. And if I have the need, you ought to hold up my hand, if you have a need I ought to hold yours up. This was to be a walk of fellowship. Christians were to love one another and walk hand in hand against the devil to beat the blazes out of him. So that the glory of the Lord might shine forth in our individual and collective lives. Well, If we confess our sins are broken fellowship, and you see this verse has nothing to do with becoming a Christian. And the time and time and time and time again, that they use this verse, to lead people to Christ just is absolutely erroneous. You do not get saved by confessing your sin. People get saved by confessing the Savior from sin the Lord Jesus Christ. Or who in the world living today can remember all the city's committed by the time he's 20 years old, or 18 or 12 or 15. So you see, you couldn't be saved by confession as sin because confession has seen his work. And as Ephesians says, we're not saved by works. We're saved by what? Great, not of works, lest any man should boast. But once we are saved and we commit to Then we get out of fellowship. Now we can confess that broken fellowship.

25:07

And it says, if we can pass it, if we can pass it, God is one, faithful. God is what? God to forgive us. While if God is faithful and just to forgive us, then if I confess it, what does God do?

25:29

Alright? He claims us does have all unrighteousness. Now you know what it says here. If you commit that sin once and you confess it, He is faithful and just to forgive you.

25:48

Now, I said, Well, you're all be standard on the chairs by now and yellow No, or something. But that is what they teach. They say, Well, God, I'll forgive you a once or twice. Well, boy, he won't forgive you all right over. Well, let me tell you something, if God didn't forgive us over and over and over again, we'd still be in the soup. Because we just get tripped up time and time and time again. And the word said, If any man say he doesn't say he's a liar. And if anybody says he never has committed the same thing twice, he's a liar too. I doesn't say that he doesn't forgive the second time it says, If we confess it, if we confess, to confess it is to tell him you don't have to tell me or Johnny jump up or Maggie muggins or anyone else you tell him? Because you didn't break fellowship primarily with me, you're both with him. So if we confess, If we confess our broken fellowship, he God is faithful and just to forgive us of our broken fellowship, and he cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Now if we say that we have not sinned, not broken fellowship, we make him God a liar and His words not in us, My little children, these things right I unto you, that you did not that you do not break fellowship. It is never God's will for us to break fellowship. But God knows. God knows that even though we are body, soul and spirit, being body and soul, we're part of flesh and Satan has this whole bloomin old world and every thing that's in it, therefore he was tricked us up at times he knows that. That's why he said a while ago, If we confess our broken fellowship, now he says in here, these things I ride on to you that you do not break fellowship, but he already knows you're going to. But if any man can, if any man break fellowship, that man has an advocate, a defense attorney. That's what the word advocate means a barrister, legal, firm term here. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. We have an advocate with a father. And that one and only advocate we have is Jesus Christ. He is the one who broke down the middle wall of partition. He is God's only begotten Son. And it is he who is our advocate. Well, it is pretty good advocate, wouldn't you? The best. And he is the propitiation, the word propitiation is payment, he is our payment. Well, if he is our payment, then I don't have to pay for it. He paid for it. He is our payment, for our broken fellowship. And not for hours only, but also for the whole world. He died for all that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. And hereby we do know that we know Him. If we keep his commandments, His Word gets back to you.

29:33

Well, what are his statues? There's only one commandment given to the believer. And that is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

29:46

But I believe in context here when we're talking about the commandment, we're talking about what he is just telling us God is light in him is no darkness. This is what we ought to carry out. This is the commandment the law This, this is what you do legally after you're saved. That's why he refers to it as a commandment. He's accept verse four. I know him and keep us noddy's commandments doesn't do it this way. He's a liar because the light is not any got it. The truth is not any. But whoso keeping his word in him barely is the love of God was perfected. The love of God is protected. Here by no we got we are aware, in Him. Christ in us is sonship we in Christ is fellowship, our walk. Hereby we know we are in Him because we are looking in the light as He is the light, not wonderful. Very sick. He's upset he abideth in him off himself. Oh so so to walk even as he walked. Rather than I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which he had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word audit, which you have heard from the beginning. Again a new commandment I write unto you which thing is true in him and in you because the darkness is passed and the true light now what he that says he's in the light and hated his brothers and darkness even under No. He's not loving his brother abideth in life and there is none occasion of stumbling any but he that hated his brothers in darkness and walk it in darkness. And no, it's not whether he goes because the darkness has bided his eyeballs, his eyes, verse 12. I ride onto your little children because your broken Fellowships are forgiven you for his wad, namesake, this matter over here of hate. I'd like for you to look at chapter three. In verse 15. A tremendous truth in here who saw hated his brother is a lot and he knows that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. Now here's a tremendously difficult verses scripture for most people, but it's not too difficult if you understand hate. Man can never have love or got pale love outside of Christ. At best man has only Philly whole love. Brotherly love the word Philadelphia, this kind of thing. Not so much the City of Brotherly Love anymore. But they talk about the different words for love like arrows, passionate sexual human kind of love. The Lay whole brotherly love, and that God pale, nicely love and all the people who refuse to believe in the new birth, all teach that they have the Adopt pale love and that is an error. Because the love the Adopt pale love is not in any man until he is born again of God's spirit than it is Christ's love in Him. That is the best bread that any census man has no matter how good a man he is. The best love he has is FileVault love. It is love of the human mind developing the human mind where you love me because I love you because it's good for your business if I love you, and it's good for my business if you love me, so we scratch each other's back and patting each other on the back. That is phileo love this you can have without credit. But you cannot have this love that is spoken of in the epistle until a man is born again of God's Spirit. When he's born again of God's Spirit, Christ comes in and he brings his love and that love is a god pale look. That's why First Corinthians 13 says, Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not the love of God. The word love of God is the God pale. I think it's charity you know in King James, so we translation. Therapy is what Salvation Army's collected. I got so tickled there against you know, drinking beer wine or whiskey or having a shot.

34:47

You know, I saw him standing the other day, right inside of the door of what do you call these places where they sell paper? That's where they were Boy oh boy, the logic of people. If I didn't believe in some of that stuff, I certainly wouldn't be standing inside of the store trying to get an extra nickel for my outfit. Maybe they thought there was a good place to stand. So you see your conscience that body a via fist over there, you have to put a bucket and before you get out, you'll figure it out. I can't figure it all out. But I know the word says something here. And that's why it says Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity, oh, my love of God. The word is a god pail. Have not charity. You can have the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation until your first habit here on the inside. So when you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior Christ came in now you got the love of God spiritually. But what good does it do you until you walk. And if you're walking in the light as He has the right to make that love manifested. Nobody can love a god pale love until he has Christ. Cause at best, it'll always be selfies. Even though it looks like it's the real McCoy. Don't let anybody fool you. It's like people, you see, if they're not honest on time, they won't be honest in any other field either. Wearing this years and years, so that's why I start my class is seven o'clock knock the door five minutes. If they can't be there by seven, they won't be there at 720 then pretty soon they won't be there at 730. We know that so good because of our experiences and bandwidth. Ralston's don't want us to start Sunday school before I ever got there. They started Sunday School exactly an hour and 15 minutes late. Right. From the first day I ever got there. We started Sunday school, if I remember correctly at 930. And I think maybe flooring side and two or three other people were on time. But we started on time we kept on time pretty soon everybody got there. I wanted to be there on time. And I learned long ago that if you can trust a man on time, you can trust him and anything else. That just the other day to an attorney I was supposed to have an appointment with. He was an hour and 15 or 20 minutes late for his appointment. And our attorney the way attorney and I were sitting together waiting on this other attorney for an hour and 15 minutes. While I said to our attorney, I had known him too long. I said to him, what about this fellow we're going to see? I said I have a sort of a conclusion in my ministry. If you can trust a man on time you can trust him in anything else. And he just looked at me and smiled. He agreed with what I already knew. Why all? This loves business that everybody's talking about today from Playboy magazine all the way through is just a bunch of hogwash and baloney. Because at best, it could only be phileo love, and at worst, it could only be arrows. It can't be the love of God because you haven't got any love of God and to have God in your heart. The only way you're going to get God in your heart is to be born again of God's Spirit and accepted the right to believe in him. Okay, he's in here but doesn't do me any good until I renew my mind and I manifested for it. That's why First Corinthians 13 is all the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. First you have it here and then you put it on up here and then you live it. Let walk in the light as He is walk

38:49

all that way around to teach your verse 15 You're great. Who saw Hey does his brother is a WoT notary. Now you cannot hate except you're born of the wrong seed. Cause hate is just the opposite of a god pale love. The man who has a god pale love must be born with a seed of grace. The person who has hate must be born to the seed of the serpent. Because hate is of the spirit. No man can hate until he is born of the seed of the serpent and this Ling glow. semantically that's used in our society currently, when a man says Well boy, when a woman I sure hate that woman I hate that man is not true. They thought or it could be that to be true, they would have to be born of the wrong seed. Because no man can Hey, except he's born in the season. Like no man can love except he's born to the seat of Christ. That's why that we're doing Do you know that no murder had what? Eternal life plot has no return a life. Now we just learned a while ago If we confess our lives, then he has lost faith. Okay, that you see it. If one thing he was told it would contradict what the rest of the world says. A person who is committed murder. If he confesses his sin before God, what is God gonna do? That's right. what the Word says. But the reason this murder in verse 15 has no eternal life abiding us and him because he hates and hate is of the Spirit and to do that hate he has to be born in the wrong spirit and you can't get unborn of it. Once you're born no more so than I can become Johnny jump up. When I am Victor power will become Johnny jump up I'd have to pull Nick Kadima has had that problem once, you know, said to Jesus, how can a big fella like me six foot three with 330 pounds? Enter again into my mother's womb? It has a little problem you know? Remember that John three I guess?

41:36

Well, that is the word there. Now. It is also in this section, I believe or someplace in here that it tells you why King's offering is that hidden here was not accepted. In what verse? Okay, verse 12. Chapter Three. Not as Cain who was up who was out of out of that was working on if you're of someone you got seed in? Yes. If you're the child of so and so the reason you are the child of so and so is because you have that seed of that family in you. Cain was of that wicked one. And that's why in Genesis, God couldn't accept his offering. It looked kosher. It had all the finesse. The candles, were at the right place, the order claws roll perfect. The floral displays were genuine the organ and piano in place, everything perfect. But the Lord couldn't accept the offering anyways, because he's going to watch the wrong seat. That's why it says he hated his brother. No bank can hate. Now, verse one of chapter three, the whole lot manner of love, the father has to be stowed upon him. That we should be called the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew what we love it now now not when you die, but now and until you die. Beloved, now are we the lost sons of God. But it does not yet appear what we shall in the future be but we know not question not doubt. But we know, we know right now that when he, Jesus Christ shall appear, we shall absolutely be like him, or we shall see him an x ray or, as he does not wonderful. Our kids talk about getting turned on what's that do to you? At turn, John. Think of it. We know ladies and gentlemen, enter society in a culture in an age like we live today to get to the place that you know that you know that your knows that you know that you know is tremendous. Because nobody knows. Except those who are willing to come and believe God's word and understand it and declare I know that I know that I know. Now wonderful, you'll be able to know man, oh man, that when he shall appear we shall see Him as He is and be like he is Isn't that wonderful? Every man who has this hope of His return, verse three, you know what he does? And Devers to walk in the light as He is the light purifier to himself, even as he is loved. And comes that fourth verse. Whosoever committed sin transgress is also the law for sin is the transgression of the law. Sin is the transgression of the law. Now that cannot be the reason it cannot be. Because then logically, if sin is the transgression of the law, there could have been no sin before the law. Secondly, if sin is the transgression of the law, then as Galatians says, Christ is the end of the law to every believer, then it's impossible for you to sin today. If you follow the law, I have to say it again. God, it is seen as the transgression of the law, then there could have been no sin until there was the law. And since Christ fulfilled all the law in Christ is the end of the law, then today, no man can sin. And it's on this verse of scripture that they have built, the theological teaching that you, you never commit, see, and no matter what you do, after you're saved, it's never seen. We've taken just that one versus scripture and put together with a Galatians, three and some of the risks and they have said, so no matter what I do, after I'm saying, if I never commit this, well, we just read from the first part of this chapter. If any man says he doesn't sin, he's a liar, right? The truth is not a howdy law, they're not interested in harmonizing the Word of God and letting the Word of God fit. They're only interested in propounding their own etiologies, their or their own thinking their own patterns. Ladies and gentlemen, that's a bunch of baloney, that's not good enough. Look at Romans chapter two. Keep your finger in John, we'll be back. Chapter Two. Look at verse 12. For as many as have sinned without what law. Here sitting without law, is set in contrast with thinning under the law. What for as many as are seen without law shall also perish without law, and as many of us have seen in the law shall be what Judge. If sin were the transgression of the law, as we read in first John and tinging, it could not be said what you can read enrolments, fine with the very moment five verse 13. Romans five, verse 13, for until the law in was in the world, you couldn't say that. If him came with the transgression of the law, right? Because then there could have been no sin until the law was given because you can't transgress the law. Follow. Look at Romans seven verse 13. Was then that which is God God made death and I mean, God forbid, but sin that it might appear sin, working death in me, but that which is good, that sin by the commandment might be come exceedingly simple thing by the commandment becoming a seemingly simple is agrees with Romans 513. Until the law sin was in the world, same basic truth. So they teach that there was no sin until the law was given. And that's not true. As your did we read by 14, we read 13. But we didn't read 14 I should have read the 14. Nevertheless, death reigned by 14 from Adam to whom, even over a dam that had not watched him after the similitude, or the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. In is not the transgression of the law. That text should read in his lawlessness, that's the best I can do with it. At the present time. There's nothing I know any better. You see if luck comes in transgresses the law, but if there is no law, there still is sin. Because it's seen if there's no If there is alone nothing to do with transgression, the only difference is you can transgress the law until the law is given, it's still sin.

50:17

If I killed a fellow, there was no law against killing anybody. It still is what luck is like, it's like war. To shoot somebody in Vietnam is not murder. But let these boys come back and shoot somebody in Columbus or new Knoxville or somebody else, and we call up. Okay? You know why? Over there? There is no they can't transgress the law codes or isn't it? But back here, there wouldn't be one. So to sit down, that's all it is. Simple as that. You see, they did this accurately. When it affected their theology, they had to write it like they did it in First John, you know, him is the transgression of the commandment, the law. That's why tenure, use the same word other places. And I only had time to write out one or Malala glass looking and didn't get it all looked up. But I did look at First Timothy. And we got our, you know, our good Greek people in here, like Walter and the rest of you tonight, you can really work this out all the way and you guys can carry it a lot further than I've ever been able to do it. First Timothy chapter one in verse nine, knowing that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, there is the same word Walters lawless that used in John, right. Got it. Nailed. You see, back to First John chapter three. Verse four, for sin is the transgression of the law, no sin is lawlessness. Then is that which is contrary to God? And I'd like to turn you to the biggest thing on know regarding these truths, you'll find it in Matthew and I think I'll terminate with this, then I'd like to ask questions if you want to on any of this tonight, which I think it'd be, alright. Matthew 22. Matthew 22. Verse 37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy watts. This is the first and the great one amendment. If that's the first and great commandment by sheer logic, the first in great sin has to be not to love what, God putting this truth, this great truth, along with all of those truths in the first and second chapter of that great epistle. Then when you get to the third chapter in that fourth verse, that's him, his lawlessness now you begin to understand, then, is not the transgression of the law. Sin is just living below the fellowship that we are to have with him, that sin, then is just living below the fellowship we are to have with him, if I do not walk into life, as he is the life it is what sin if I, then I do not love him, with all my heart, my soul, my mind is that if I love him, with all my heart, my soul, my mind and my strength, would I ever do that which would get me out of fellowship with him? No, study, knowing it is for knowledge that we would then break that love that law of just loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. He said, If we confess our broken fellowship, He is faithful and just to forgive us, that puts together that tremendously difficult verse And in verse four of this third chapter.
