Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

snt-0211 the times of restitution(vpw)

I want you to take a look at Romans 15. I think one of the astounding realities in the Word of God is the greatness of the realization when it permeates our mind that the whole Bible is not addressed to us. The scriptures are addressed to do Gentiles and the Church of God. And until people again to get that teaching and that understanding, they're going to have, well, they're just not going to properly be able to handle the Word of God. The scripture says, hearing Romans 16, four, or whatsoever things are written up for time. The Book of Romans was written before Pentecost, or after Pentecost, after Pentecost, and it deals with the realities of truth after Pentecost. And the Word says, These words were written for time, before the time of Pentecost, were written, F, O R, for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have one. So all scripture of four times before the day of Pentecost, is it to us. Now it is for our what? Learning. Now, it takes a little time for people to gel this. It takes a little time for this to incubate, and finally produce in the lives of most people. Therefore, you and I must just take our time, teach people they actually see the word, let this word of God live abundantly within them. And let them see the greatness with which these things are set. And how this unfolds. Scripture after Scripture and word afterward throughout the entire Bible. You have the same truth taught in First Corinthians chapter 10. Verse 11. Now all these things, First Corinthians chapter 10, verse 11, now all these things happened unto them, for examples, talking about the Old Testament people, these things happened unto them, for example, and they are written, the Old Testament such things as the Old Testament, are written, F, O, R, for our one admonition, upon whom the answers of the world are come, then the things in the Old Testament are not written to us, they are for our one, learning this tremendous truth will unfold and unlock many of the scriptures in the Word of God. And it will delete many of the so called apparent errors and contradictions that people have laid at the feet of the Bible and said, Well, the Bible contradicts itself. It does. Indeed, there is no contradiction when we rightly divide the word of truth. And when we let this word live on its own basis, in itself, in Romans chapter 10.

It says in verse 17, So then faith, faith, we sang tonight, about salvation, hear that one song 22, what was that? It took a miracle. It took a miracle. When he saved us, and it surely does. Now, in order to get this salvation, the Scripture says, hearing 17 1017, that faith cometh by hearing. And hearing comes from or by the word of God. Default, there is nothing that produces believing faith in the heart, in the mind, in the body of a person outside of the Word of God. It's the word that produces, you can tell a nice story. And interest people, it'll tickle their ears. But they'll just be like that soap, they'll just be, go clean, clear through, going one ear and out of the other. This word here in 17. So then faith caused by hearing this word hearing means you hear it and you believe what you hear. It just doesn't go playing player through. It doesn't go into one side and out of the other. It says, hearing of the Word and a believing of it. And as you believe what you hear God works, the greatest miracle in the world, and that is to say that we are born again of God's Spirit. And of course, nothing equals the new birth. Nothing equals eternal life. Nothing any greater than this is the entire word. This is the message. This is the thing that Christ came to make available to his people. Now in Romans 10 to get to this reality thing of knowing that Christ is living with him. I teach this to our classes with a great fervency with a great boldness with a great detail so that they understand it might or may cause that scriptures that are written for our learning are usually used regarding salvation, and they're not regarding salvation to us, they are for our life, learning. So these Scriptures which are addressed to us, we have to just share with the people and get them to understand and enrollments 10 Nine, it says if thou shalt confess with timeout was the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in nine hearts that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be one, or with the heart, man believeth, under righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. If we confess then with our mouth, the Lord Jesus Christ and believe God raised Him from the dead, we're going to be one, when, at the time of confession, that's when right then in there, right then in there, the common teaching I believe, among all of us has been at one time or another, we've all been taught that in order to get saved, you confess your sin. And this is about as far as anybody goes today. You can't get saved by confessing your sin. Because confession of sin is worth it. Feagins to says, we're not saved by works were saved by Allah, not of works, lest any man should want. And confession of sin is works and it's hard work. We're not saved by confessing our sin were saved by confessing the Savior from sin while our Jesus Christ. Boy, that's terrific. Now, with the light of this in the background, we're going to act chapter three. Acts chapter three, Acts chapter three, did it occur before Pentecost or after Pentecost? after Pentecost? That's right, because the historical outpouring of the new birth the Holy Spirit is recorded in Acts chapter two. Therefore, the third chapter of Acts will have to carry out the principles of the scriptures which I have just read and talk to you about these last five or six, seven minutes. Those scriptures must already be in operation in Acts chapter three, because it occurred after the day of what many calls.

Now Peter and John, who are the apostles went up to gather in the temple at the hour of was at the hour of prayer being the ninth hour, the ninth hour is what time Our time, three o'clock in the afternoon, Jesus Christ, died upon the cross, at the watt hour, nine hours, three o'clock in the afternoon, the third hour of the day, they nailed Him to the cross, which is nine o'clock our time, knowing he was on the cross from nine to three, from 12 to three, the Scripture says there's darkness over the whole face of the earth. Then at the ninth hour, three o'clock in the afternoon, he died, an hour of prayer, because there were five hours of prayer corresponding to our 6am 9am 12, noon, pm, and 6pm. Now, at an hour of prayer, Peter and John went together into the temple. And a certain man Lane from his mother's womb, was carried, whom they laid once daily, whom they laid, why how often daily at the gate of the temple, which is called Beautiful to outcomes of them that entered into the temple. If they laid this man their daily flat, if he was laid there daily, let me ask you a question and you think about Did Jesus ever go to the temple? Why store every time he was in Jerusalem for the feast? Every time he was in Jerusalem at any other time, he would go to the temple. If they lay this man daily at the gate of the temple, did Jesus walk by him? Why didn't the healing that's the key. That's the question you've got to have. This is a question you have to ask the people. Get them to explain how come Jesus didn't heal him. Jesus healed multitudes of others didn't. The record says So Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. All multitude, individuals as well. Here he walked by this man every time he went in the temple and he never said, booth or ceiling was concerned, there has to be a reason. You'll have to ask yourself, why did he not love this man? Certainly loved him, then why did he not ministered to him? Why didn't he set him free, there must be a reason. Because every cause has an effect and every effect has a cause. And nothing that is done in the Word of God is ever done haphazardly. Or Peter and John go down there. They laid this, this man who was laying someone's mother's womb was laid there daily. And verse three says, Who seen Peter John about to go in the temple afternoon. And Peter fastening his eyes upon him with John said look on us. He didn't tell him to look to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now that's a shocker, isn't it? That's terrible. I remember last week in the class in Minnesota, the night I read X eight, two, they almost flipped. They flip a few other times during the week. Have I read X eight. And you know what it says in X eight. It said that they gave he there was Philip preached, because they saw the miracles which God did know, they saw the miracles which what he did, Philip did. And that shook them. That really was a shock to them. Why? Because of our past teaching. We have been taught wrongly, we have not been taught the Word we've been taught somebody's opinion, somebody ideas. That scripture says that they believe Philips preaching they believe what he said about the word because of the signs of the miracles and the wonders which He did, which he did, he did them of course, by the power of God, which was in him. And you and I have no power of ourselves, but our power is of him. And remember if it's Christ in us the hope ago, if it is he who is then we have what the Word of God says we have. Though this man looked at Peter and John. And very five says, He gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none. But such as I have, such as I have, give ID in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up Edwin, yet can't give anything if you haven't got.

You can't give anything if you haven't gotten. In other words, you can't speak in tongues, except you're born again of God's spirits, you have got to have the ability first before you can manifest the operation. Right. Peter said, Silver and Gold we haven't any. But what I've got, such as I have the ability to minister to you to pray with you to help you this Peter said such as I've got our gift to you. Therefore he said in the name of Jesus Christ rise up and one. There all the manifestations involved in here. And I'm not going to teach on this early section. I'm simply getting the warmed up for where I want to finally get to, but tremendous probes in here. And I want to answer the question which I provoked a moment ago. And that is that Jesus knew by revelation, word of knowledge, that the man who was laid daily at the gate of the temple, he knew by word of knowledge, that that man was not to be healed, because he would not believe not that it was a God's Will the healing. But his time of believing his time of believing had not was arrived had not come have not gotten to that place where he could read by these teeth into it, so to speak, and clamp on to it and know that it was a reality. But some time later, Peter and John coming along, that's the time I think all of us have experienced the same time, then our lives, when we have had something we'd like to believe for. And we couldn't get the results immediately. We kept on believing and trying to believe and working in the area of believing or doing something. And then all at once, all at once. We just clicked we just know knew that we believe and when we believe there it was we receive and that's why Jesus did not minister to this man. It is not that he did not love you. It's simply that he knew by revelation, he would not believe or could not believe at that time. Therefore he passed him by But Peter and John one day We're walking along and Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit. That Scripture he says in Acts two he spoke in tongues. And so did John. So did all the rest of the apostles, and so did the Apostle Paul. And as I said to the class this week again, it seems to me that if any minister says, he is a Christian, that he believes the Bible, then it behooves him to speak in tongues, because I know that there is no minister living who has ever had as much of the revelation from the Lord, the abundance of it as the Apostle Paul. And if the Apostle Paul spoke in tongues, I believe that we who are ministers ought to be speaking in tongues to we need it. As a matter of fact, in First Corinthians 14, it says, this is a commandment of Bologna, not only to the ministers, but to all believers who are born again of God's Spirit. So he takes them very seven, Peter took him by the right hand lifted him up, and immediately, his feet and ankle bones received what and he leaping up, stood and walk, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising whom God praising God. And all the people in that temple saw him walking and praising God, verse 10, and they knew that it was he was that for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto Him. And as the lay man which was healed, held, Peter and John, the word held in the text literally should have been translated, stayed by the side of our company, would be a good synonym, a company, that lay man which was healed our company, Peter and John, I think that's the best synonym to be used here to describe. All the people ran together under them in the porch that's called Solomon's greatly was wondering, and when Peter solid, he answered unto the people, he Men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Are why lucky, so earnestly on us, as though by our own power, our holiness, we had made this man to walk, was it Peters holiness, that made it this man to walk? Was it Peters power? No, but it was the power of God in Peter and Peter having the boldness to work.

That church is loaded with power, but hasn't got the knowledge or the boldness to work. That scripture, he says, my people perish, for a lack of knowledge. We need the knowledge of the word before we can work it. But once we have that knowledge, then we need the boldness and the courage to work. In other words, this whole thing has to tie together. The God of Abraham, verse 13, and of Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers has glorified as glorifies His Son, Jesus, who ye delivered up, oh, who delivered up to whom was he speaking? The the Jews who are assembling the temple at that time. He said to them, who he was delivered up. And I just read recently and heard recently that in a certain meeting, in a foreign country, they decided they had nothing to do with it. Somebody is wrong, though worried that God says that is and denied him in the presence of pilots, when he was determined to let him go, but the verse 14, that denied the Holy One, and just and desired a murderer to be grafted on to you, and kill the prince of life, whom God had was, there it is, whom God has raised from us, where we are right now, if anybody's going to get saved, he has to have faith, which commerce by one hearing, which kind of by the word of us, and he's going to have to confess the Lord Jesus and believe that God there was, how could they have hurt except somebody taught? And Peter on the occasion of this mighty miracle of the healing of the lane man at the temple gate, he when he preached to them when he talked to them, talk to them about the Prince of life, whom God did was rains again, some of them he taught them the rest direction. He taught them that Christ arose, because nobody can be born again of God's Spirit expects, he believes that God raised Him from the dead. And verse 16, his name through faith, it has named have made this man strong, whom you clo? Yay, the face which is by him, the face, which is by Jesus Christ. How did faith come by Jesus Christ and this space, which is by or on account of Jesus coming has given him this lame man, this perfect soundness, perfect soundness. perfect soundness is perfect wholeness, wh o le and ESS, perfect wholeness. You know, a person could be healed, without being made whole. And we're 10 lepers versus nine or 10 How many, and all God healed. But only one was made was that hole, that's tremendous. We're not going to work this field, but just these things all Jelenia fell apart when he works the word, there must then be a tremendous difference between a person being healed and a person being made whole. This man was not only healed, but he was made perfectly hold. And now brother in verse 17. I know that through ignorance, you did it, as did also your rulers. But those things which God before has showed, by the mouth of all these prophets, that Christ had suffered, He had Christ have great pass. So what verse 19, read Penske, therefore, and be what? A man when a person repents he's converted. When he repents he's converted. Now to repent is not to confess your sin. It is to confess that Savior from Sam got Lord Jesus Christ. That's the greatness here. He had taught them about the Lord Jesus Christ.

He said, Don't look upon us upon our power as if we did it. But this Jesus whom he crucified Him, God has raised, he is the Lord, and this one you must believe in. And so when he finishes this whole teaching, the climax of it, he says to the people, repent, to repent is to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe God raised Him from the dead. That's your sins may be what brought it out, blotted out, remitted. War, still eight to be totally cleansed. Totally cleanse, brought it out. That's the usage in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, were their sins brought it out. Not technically, it says God simply was covered them. He didn't look at them anymore. He simply covered them, but with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and God's raising Him from the dead and men and women born again, the sin of the past, when we get saved, are all washed away are all emitted are all claims taken out, cleaned up. You didn't get the sense cleanse because you confess the sins were cleanse because you confess the Savior from sin, the Lord Jesus Christ and He cleanse you. That's the key to repent you therefore, and be converted that your sins may be blotted out. When the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of hope, and he shall send our when he shall send Christ Jesus, which before was preached unto us, right? The times of refreshing the times of refreshing, have no reference to the church to which you and I belong. The times of refreshing are at the return of Christ. He is talking to whom here, Israel and Look what a look just look at the greatness of it, because I'm right here on what I really wanted to teach you tonight. Get to the seat. Repent, going back to Romans, If you confess with your mouth but if God raised Him from the dead, thou shall be one. Save and we settled, when will you be saved? At the time you repent, or you confess, right? All right, when they repented them, what happened to them, they got saved, Repent you, therefore, and be converted, save that your sins right now maybe remitted, washed away plans. When the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord, when he shall send Christ Jesus, which before was preached on the last, boom, Whom the heaven, heaven must receive. The Heaven must precede the word receive is the word deck on I must receive up. Let me ask you something, according to the book of Acts in Luke, on the day of the ascension, did he go up? It says, they saw Him go up. And he was seated at the right hand of what, that's where he is now. And he will remain there. Until that times of refreshing for Israel art to come. When he Jesus Christ, when Christ Jesus is coming back, who was preached unto you, whom the heavens must now receive, until that times of restitution of all what, which God has spoken by the mouth of all these holy apostles are past the Holy Prophet, then the world what they get, now, whom the heavens must precede until the time of the rest, the two times of the restitution, the word restitution, I'll write it here on the board for you. Apple caster stasis sta s i n. This is the word which is translated restitution. It is made up of three words apple, and topped off and the word stasis S P A, S is the word Apple the word apple is a preposition. Meaning from the word Apple means from, it's also translated to and 56789 different other ways how many I just don't recall. Right now I'm after the, the greatness with which the usage of this word here is used in the Scripture, the word up all here's a circle. And the word up of meaning from, from the exterior. From the exterior, that's what the word APO beat is the word from, it's from the exterior, you could you could use the word from, from the center of to, I mean under another condition, but the word that used here doesn't mean from the center of, but from the exterior out. If you had a circle, if you had a circle, you could have the word from us from the center out or from the exterior out. Or you could run it what he called a parallel, a tangent, tangent, you could run it as a tangent to the circle. With these are all different usages, that the word itself tells you which one it is. And this word as it's used here. Apple meetings motion from the exterior the word cutoff K ta of which this word is made up of the word cutoff is in opposition to what we have in opposition to what or that which we have February alive it is in opposition to that which you've got. It is not it is not something well, it's from it's an opposition. You've got some But this which is the restitution is something you haven't gotten now. That's what he's trying to say. It is cut off, it is on account of in opposition to what are that what you have on account of on account of now the word stasis the word stasis is the word resurrection is the word resurrection. restitution, times of restitution, then which is Apple cut the spaces. times of restitution is after the age of the church is completed. Like this circle is completed. That circle is full. All of God's people have been gathered hold the barn again sons of God, they have gone up to be with the Lord, that gathering together. After the age of the church is completed as a circle is full, then look here. Then from the exterior, out from the exterior out, cut up. ocho CATIA, from the exterior out of the circle, on getting too many lines up here on the blackboard, take off a couple.

From the exterior out. There is something else coming. A new something like the resurrection will produce. That's why it's Apple cocked up stasis. It is times of restitution.

In this in this restitution, you have the resurrection, which is referred to in the book of Revelation as the first resurrection. And then the final resurrection, you have that there. You have in this, the judgments, the different judgments that are mentioned in the four gospels, as well as that which is mentioned in the book of Revelation. In here you have in this period, you have the new heaven, and the new earth. All of these things are involved in this word restitution. In other words, restitution or reiteration is after the church is completed, that circle thought failed, the circle of the church failed, then from the exterior of this from what if completed here, they go on to something else. And that is that greatness of this word, restitution. Class, if the church to which you and I belong, what's in the first resurrection? Listen carefully, because this terrific if the church to which you and I belonged in our first resurrection, it could not use the word Apple cutout state, it would have to say that these from the inside Go in. It has to be from this over into the circle. And the great accuracy is that it does not say from the interior, but that the word that is used is from the exterior of this circle. We go on that church is not in that resurrection of Revelation Chapter 20. That's the greatness. Look at it again. Repent you therefore in verse 19, and we were converted, that your sins may be what brought it out when the times of refreshing Shahrukh Khan from the presence of Oh, and he or when he shall send Christ Jesus, which before was preached unto you Whom the heaven must receive until that times of restitution until it's time for his return on its tell it's time after the gathering together. From that circle on didn't just that new age into that new thing which is coming according to the Book of Revelation, the resurrection, the judgments, the new heaven, the New Earth, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets, saves the world what again, are Moses truly said unto the fathers of prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brother and like going to meet him shaggy here in all things, whatsoever He shall say unto you, And it shall come to pass that every soul, which will not hear that profit, at His return, at the time of restitution shall be destroyed from among the people. Yay, and all the profits from Samuel. And those that follow after as many as have lots spoken have likewise for tob of these days, as many as have spoken about Christ, have likewise for told of these days, the are the children of the prophets, and above the covenant, which God made with our fathers, saying, Abraham, and in thy seed, shall all the children of the earth he was on to you, first, on to you, first, Israel unto you first, after Pentecost, who got it on the day of Pentecost, only Israel, only Jews present, and immediately afterwards it was to them first. after Pentecost, God, having raised up his Son, Jesus, then him, then even him, to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his watts, iniquities. That's why he said unto them, verse 19, repent to therefore and be converted, that your sin, now maybe brought it out. Or this is the only opportunity whereby anybody can get saved today.

These people who are living in this day and time, they can't get saved any other way. If Israel, if the Jews, if the Gentiles are going to be saved, they have to come in under this particular operation, where we have to repent, confess with our mouths, the Lord Jesus, the Savior from sin, that if God raised Him from the dead, that's the only way to get it. And he said unto you, first after Pentecost, God who raised up his son, who had sent him to bless you, and turning every one of you away from your sins, and he was speaking to Israel, not the Gentiles. They cause to them was the gospel freeze first, the gospel of the new birth, this thing to about which we're talking, they had the opportunity first. And you know, what, some 10 1215 years later, when finally, it was taken away, or they by their rejection, by the persecution that ensued within Jerusalem, the apostle Philip, for instance, went to Sumeria. And the other apostles went other the the other teachers, Philip went to seminary and other teachers leaders went other places, the 12 apostles, or 1112 of them, stayed in Jerusalem for a while. But then later on, they were dispersed among the people. Peter went to the householder, currently an accessory of others went to Babel, and others went other places. But first, it was to Israel. And he was talking them real pointedly, and saying to them the same message that he's saying today, that except they repent, they have no eternal life of biting within. And as it says, in Romans 11, if they don't do this, they're going to get cut off. get cut off, even as Israel was cut off, even as Israel cut off the Lord crucified him, so Israel is going to get cut off, except they get saved. And that's why the greatness of this revelation that ladies here in the third chapter, regarding this word restitution is one of the greatest proves lodged in that whole chapter. And if you properly understand it, it will enrich your life and adjust them bless you. The thing, that greatness with which God sets his Word, and the accuracy with which he sets it, even down to the minute is detail in everything well, that's all I'm going to teach on this tonight. We're going to close here with a song. And I think tonight, we ought to say number 20 Have you a heart that's weary tending a load of care? Are you a soul that seeking rest from the herd in your bear? And certainly there must be people listening to this broadcast, who do have a heart that's weary, who are attending a load of care? Who are people who are seeking rest from the burden that they bear, right? Event July, we've all been that way. But our God table to meet our need isn't the very thing we taught here tonight. Repent, be converted, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, please God raised Him from the dead and what happens where it saves the people listening to the radio, if they all confess with their mouth, the Lord Jesus believe God raised Him from the dead, what's going to happen to them, they're gonna get saved their sins of a blot it out. There'll be passed from death on the life. And our God wants us to walk in this delivery, wants our people to walk. And I think God allows these people to listen to this broadcast, because of the immensity of the greatness of God's word that lives among our people, and the love of God that shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. And I think God has called us and brought us on to this hour that men and women who listen, can get saved, can get filled with the Holy Spirit. And God knows all about all of us all about the people listening to the broad gap. He knows their disappointments. He knows each time they cry, he understands every heartache, and he'll dry every tear from everyone's eyes. Let's stand and sing and pray God bless the people.

I feel tonight that I should have a special prayer for the people who listen to this broadcast. So you people here in the auditorium of the way biblical Research Center, just your hearts with me for God's blessing and His guidance and direction to the people who are listening to this broadcast. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we left our radio audience tonight and God in a wonderful maximalist way meet the needs of those people tonight. enable them to confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and I believe God raised Him from the dead. And if they're not saved God, you'll certainly save him by doing it. Therefore we thank thee for salvation and for doing this through Christ Jesus our Lord, and Heavenly Father, we thank thee for just making it real and living among the people who are listening tonight. Not only those of us here but the radio audience, that they all respond to the immensity of the word, that this word will be that dynamite of their souls. All Our Father How we praise the unsexy for this word of God which livers and abiertas forever. how grateful we are, Father, that there are no disappointments, that there are absolutely no need for crying, no heartaches that thou does not understand. Because our more anxious to hear our prayers than we are used to praise them. Therefore, Father, I thank thee right now for meeting the needs of the children, the young people and the adults listening to the broadcast, and every person gathered here at the headquarters of the way internet.
