Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS: verse, judas, ascension, god, word, read, hanged, field, upper room, scripture, people, property, spoken, judas iscariot, apostles, ministry, day, tremendous, luke, pentecost

Now in anticipation of next Sunday, I'd like to go into the first chapter of Acts because next Sunday night, of course, I will be in the second chapter. But tonight, I'd like to take apart at least of this first chapter and see the greatness that God has established and written here for us. Thank you Rodin. Thank you, Dorothy, Chapter land. Verse one. The former treaties. The farmer treaties is the Gospel of Luke. It is too bad that they put the four gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke in the New Testament, as we speak of it today. Because the four gospels officially and technically our Old Covenant, Jesus Christ was a ministered to the circumcision, Romans 15. I think it's eight says he was a minister to the circumcision. Jesus Christ came on to His own, His own where Israel and its own received a map. Everything it talks about in the gospels was to Israel, when he sent out the 12. To whom did he send them, the last sheep of up the house of Israel, when he sent out the 70? To whom did he send the 70, to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, he said, Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, His whole ministry was to Israel, he came to fulfill the law, remember, how about, I could redraw the scriptures, but in my people, and among my people, I don't have to do this because we've read it time and time again, I simply need to bring it up for review. So that you can again set the pattern, the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John close the Old Covenant. After the book commoditize, there was no profit, historically speaking, until the Lord Jesus Christ came some 400 years later, and he was the fulfillment, he was the prophet. He was the priest, he was the king, he came to fulfill it all. Then comes the book of Acts. And the book of Acts stands as the foundation of the church, and to the book of Acts, this should have been, and technically is the first book in the New Testament. This is the book of transition, the book of the rise and the expansion of the Christian church to which you and I belong. The farmer treaties refers to the Gospel of Luke, the gospel of Luke, have I made all Theopolis the word the office means beloved of God. Most of the commentary say that this is addressed to a man whose name was the office, if cannot be, because the way that God is not to one man, the word of God is to all man and had they translated it, as it was intended to be translated, beloved of God, that's the meaning of the word Theopolis. The firmer treaties have are made of beloved of God, of all that Jesus began both to do and what deeds until the day in which he was taken up, the day in which he was taken up that day is that class? That's the ascension, not tiny class, ascension, and ascension occurred, how many days after the resurrection 40. So here, he says that the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John especially, he's talking about the firmer treaties, the gospel of Luke, that there it's until the day in which he was taken up. So the Gospel of Luke closes with the ascension. After that, he threw the Holy Ghost knew my heart, God holy spirit, had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen. How many apostles did Jesus choose? 12 Keep your finger in X and look at Luke, the gospel of Luke chapter six. I do not know whether your center reference for some of you have center references in your Bibles. I do not know if your center reference has Luke 613 on verse two, but it's the only good one that should be their 613. And when it was de called on to him, his disciples of them he chose 12, whom also he named Rob, apostles, this is Luke 613. So how many did he choose? That's where it says that's what it means. Is that difficult? Now backtracks at given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen, how many did he chose? What day is it that we're talking about? The day of the ascension? We're reading about right? And on the day of the ascension, how many apostles were there? Then Judas is Jared could not have already hanged himself because he was still there. Right? That's the greatness of it. That's the logic of it. That's the beauty of it. Because the ordinary teaching and believing, which is erroneous, and the commentaries that say Salah Rome, they all teach that when Judas Iscariot betrayed the Lord Jesus Christ, that immediately thereafter he went out and he hanged himself. Well, if he did that, we have a discrepancy of some 43 days. Because after he betrayed the Lord Jesus Christ, and the crucified Jesus, Jesus was in the grave three days and three nights, then he arose again, from the dead, and from the time of the resurrection to the ascension is 30 days. 40 plus three is 43. So something wrong someplace, right? Why can't we just simply believe God's Right? Or those of you who are in here for the first time tonight, there are quite a few of our friends that have come in for the first time tonight. We certainly not only welcome you, but we're glad to have you. But in order to understand all of these tremendous things that I'm going to be teaching, there's a little booklet entitled studies in abundant living, and I forget the title of it, what is it that when Judas hanged himself is that it? Something like that, you asked Mrs. Allen at the book table, she knows all about these things that I write. But I added the research, all of the accuracy of the word, which in part I will fit tonight for you is all in detail in that little booklet. So there's not Latin stone left unturned, biblically speaking, but that you can put the whole thing together. Eric was the day of the ascension, and Judas Iscariot was still there. I'll show you a little later on why this has to be in here. But I want you to let your pronouns people in your read the Bible lecture pronouns and watch your time. di me time, then, then time, watch the Place de la See, all of your watch those three things, the pronouns to whom, and the time element and the place element. Tremendous scriptures will become simple and easy, and they'll fit like a hand in a globe. Watch the pronouns here, the apostles whom he had chosen, verse two, verse three, to whom? To whom? To whom? Who? The apostles, how many, that well, he showed himself alive after his passion after his death, by many infallible proofs, being seen of them 40 days and speaking of the things pertaining to that Kingdom on that track, why do you talk to them about the church, because the church was the mystery hidden in God, from the beginning of the foundations of the world, and kept secret until it was revealed to the apostle Paul, the revelation of Jesus, talk to them about the kingdom of God. He showed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, by many infallible proofs. And yet today, there is a type of ministry, a type of teaching, getting worldwide hearing, while I sit here in our little biblical Research Center, with 100, maybe 150. Sometimes, how many listened by radio I never know. But not very many compared to the ministry that other men have and that people listen to. And they talk about God being dead. And at God that Jesus Christ was never resurrected. Well, let me ask you something, even though the Bible's alive or it's true, if the Bible's alive, let's get rid of the whole Brexit thing. And if it's the truth, let's rise up to believe it. And if it's not the truth, then let the people who say it's not the truth get out of the pulpit and out of the ministry.

Laugh it's, it's, it's either our either God's ally or His Word is true. And I'd like to say to you, that I am pretty sure I was at Newark today, not 100 years from now. Somebody is gonna write and say, Well, Dr. Rowe was never ignored at the dedication of the way for you. Well, I'd like to say to you, that you were there this afternoon, Did you witness my presence? Therefore, you would be much more authoritative Lee, historically speaking, accurate than somebody 1000 years from now saying that I was never there. And I would say that the intelligence of men like Peter and Andrew and James and John and Philip and Bartholomew, and Nathaniel, and more than 500 brethren who saw him historically on site I am perfectly according to the scientific, mathematical principles of history, the testimony of those men is much more substantial than for a person to rise today to say God is dead, Jesus Christ never arose again from the dead, and all that other baloney. The word here says, He showed himself alive. And he was seen of them, the 12 apostles, he was seen of them 30 days. And he spoke to them of the things of the kingdom of God, verse four, and being assembled together with them, the 12 apostles, on the day of the ascension, commanded them that 12 that they should not depart from Jerusalem, that they were to wait, wait for the promise of the Father, which says he, he have heard of me the promise of the father. That's what he told them they were to write for. If it was already available, like should he tell them to wait? The reason they had delayed is because it was not available. You and I looking back over history, we know it took how many days 10 But they looking ahead, did not know it would be 10 days. It simply was a command to go back into Jerusalem and to wait to wait. Wait for up the promise of the Father. I have done this many times in my class. I think I will do it again tonight just so that we become very clear, I go over here to the barn. And we'll put down some of these great trues. He told him to wait for the promise of the father. That's what they were to wait for the promise of the Father. In verse five, it says, For John, truly baptized with that, laughter, but he shall and people right there you take another breath according to grammar, English grammar, whatever we say you will, it is probable, it is not certain. It is perhaps by whatever grammatically you use you shall. That shall is absolute. No ifs, no ands No buts about it. And here it is not. And ye will, you will be baptized. But it says John truly baptized with ladder but he What shall ye shall absolutely be baptized with the Holy Ghost and water not many days it's not hasn't got any ladder in it. You can't get water in it if you squeeze it. And you can't do anything but get yourself out let but trying to get water in it. They had God rounded water in it. You think maybe he was smart enough to have that holy man or God speak as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. And he could have gotten louder in You Bet Your Life had God water water in that verse, he got it. He got it in all right, in the first part of it, under whose ministry John, John baptized with water, but something was going to come, something was going to come which was a great deal more important, and much more efficacious than water. And that was to come not many days hence. And he said to them go back to Jerusalem and you wait, you wait for the promise of the Father. For you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost Holy Spirit new Maha do not many days hence. So that they were awaiting for the promise of the Father equals whatever it is to be baptized with new Maha Gill Holy Spirit to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Now there is no article D at any critical Greek text. And this is why there's so much difficulty in this field because the translators included the article when they want to do when they deleted it when they want to do and all these other things. You never know whether you're coming or going really until you've really worked the field and put the whole thing together are 385 verses on the Holy Spirit in the Bible when you put those together. Then finally the whole thing fits you understand what I'm after some of the deeper truths here just the the truths that are very self evident that John baptized with ladder but he shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. So that ever the promise of the Father is equals whatever it is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Now, in order to find out what it was that came on the day of Pentecost, you have to only read a verse of two of Scripture in the Gospel of Luke, the last chapter return there. Luke chapter 40, Chapter 24, verse 49. And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you. That's the same promise of the father he's talking about in the book of Acts. I send the promise of My Father upon you, but tarry ye Wait, in the city of Jerusalem, until Ebn dude with power from where on high and do what power from on high. So the promise as a father equals whatever it is to be baptized with new moggill, which is to be endued. Right and dude means closed with a raid with I fitted with and dude with power. from on high. That's tremendous. That's tremendous. The promise of the Father equals to be baptized with new Maha God, which equals power from where on and the mathematical equation that fits this thing. Things equal to the same things are equal to each other. And there you have it. There you have it, nobody can touch it. Three verses of scripture tell you what it was that came on the day of Pentecost that we'll be talking about next Sunday night. three verses of scripture take out all the private interpretation take out all the guesswork. megadiverse men say that's what the Word says. The promise of the Father is to be baptized with new Mahajan, which is power from on high. Word power is the word dunamis. Inherent spiritual from on high tide you from whom it came. Well, who was going to pull it out? Scripture says God was going to do it came from God. Back to the well no go back ever to reach another verse. Verse 50, perhaps we should have just considered this week because of the ascension. And he led them out as far as Bethany he lifted up his hands and bless them. And it came to pass rally bless them. He was parted from them and carried up in the left heaven. That's the ascension. Right? And according to verse 50, where did the ascension occur from Bethany, the city of rock, Bethany, Bethany is the city of the home of Lazarus and Martha and Mary, remember, and Bethany is on the east side of the mountain valleys. And if you take a tour in the Holy Land today, that stone that's got his footprint in. They said he ascended up where they built the church of the ascension is on the left side of the amount of olives. You think the word is right through all the guys who got the footprint in the stone? Well, anyways, the Bible says He ascended from where Bethany That settles it. Sure. Well, and verse 52, said they worshipped Him. And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And we're continually were in the temple, praising and blessing God, back to the book of Acts.

John truly baptized with water, verse five, but he shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost, not many days hence, which is to be a dude with power from an Hi, verse six, when they, when they declare their forward come together. At that time, they asked him saying, Lord without this time restoring again the kingdom of Israel. And he said unto them, it's not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father had put it his own one power, but you shall not you will, he shall do that. receive power, the word receive is the right Lombardo, manifest, receive it into manifestation. Power is the right dunamis you are going to manifest this spiritual power you're going to receive on the day of Pentecost, you're going to manifest when, when or after, after is the word same Greek word is the word when asked her that new Nabilone is come up upon you. Then you're going to learn battle with Jim for your cat. You You can't manifest into your godhead, right. You can't speak in tongues interpreting prophesied until you're filled with spirit. You can't be saved until you're born again. Right? That's what he's talking about. He said, You shall and battle this power, this spiritual power, when or after that new myhockey own has come upon you, and you shall be what? Witnesses on to me. It does not say defense attorneys. And boys, this is something in the early days of my research ministry, and I don't mean too long ago, when people would always put me on the defensive. Always say, well explain why you say this. I don't do it anymore. You know what I do? I say that then you explain yours. I don't have to explain mine. I say you explain your air. You explain that why you believe someone so? Let them do it. Why should I have to explain it? All I do is read it. That's why you don't have to have a defense attorney. We are witnesses. You know, it's tremendous. Because the average person is always defending what he believes. Have to defend what you believe if it's true. You got to defend what you believe it's there. You got to argue about it. Because if it's truth there no two opinions regarding truth. Its truth Truth. You either believe it or you're done. Oh, it's true. That's why I didn't say we had to defend it were to be wrapped to it with at our tracks easiest ministry in the room, because the average person is always defending what he believes or doesn't believe. You have defend anything you just witnessed to it. Like our friend roof is mostly used to say from Macon, Georgia, tell the truth and forget about it. Tell a lie. Remember it. Right. You have to love again. The guy remember how big the fish were. So you can tell a lie all over again. Like you tell a truth. If it's truth, you didn't forget about it, because the next time to tell you it's still going to be one truth. So he said, once you get this, you're going to be witnesses. Don't argue about it don't have to defend it. Just be witnesses, witnesses and anywhere in Judea, Jerusalem. Sumeria. And under the outermost part of us, does this perhaps include the white biblical Research Center, about the communities you represent? are also included, were to be witnesses, witnesses, witnesses. Verse nine says, And when He had spoken these things, while they they who the 12 apostles be held, he was taken up and a cloud received Him out of their lap. And while they look steadfastly, they hold the trial toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in light, apparently, there you have the ascension does disagree with that we just read from Luke. Sure. It's like a hand in a glove, same truth. Same word, same author. Now go back to verse 10, and pick up the last pronoun, behold, two men stood by them in white a pair which also said, Ye men why Stan G gazing? Know he added a word or two, he man up. Now he has changed his noun. And when you change the noun that happens to the pronoun.

If you change the noun, the pronoun has to be changed to include that noun which controls the pronoun because all pronouns are controlled by the related nouns. In the opening of this tremendous chapter, he was talking about the apostles whom he had went, and one of those was a fella by the name of Judas Iscariot, who came from the city of Iscar in southern Judea. He was not a Galilean. The other 11 apostles were al Galileans. Peter was a Galilee and John, these men were all Galileans except one, who was Judas Iscariot, Judas Iscariot. That's why his name is Iscar. Like we call Herman the farmer and John Carpenter. So, he was Judas Iscariot, but his name was Judas who came from the city of Iscar in southern Judea. He was the only God and and of course, right here This is where the great truth presents itself. If you have eyes to see, because in verse 10, the damn is still the 12. But in verse in verse nine by verse 11, one person has left, because he changes and says, You men of Galilee, now there are only 11 left and these 11 were all one God, he could not have said that in the verses preceding could not have said it in the verses preceding because there was one man there, among the those whom he had chosen, who was not a Galilean. But he has left, he has gone and he says to the men of Galilee, like Stan Ji gazing up into heaven, he told him go back to Dros lifespan here gazing up into heaven, this same Jesus, this same Jesus, that same one, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall come in like manner, as you have seen him go, where is he coming back? If he if he went up, he's coming back. Suppose I say he is, hot. Man, how stupid can you get? That's me that stupid. If I'd say he isn't coming back, right? If I say God is dead, that I'm the stupid one. If I say Christ never rose again from the dead than I am the stupid one, right? If I say he's never coming back, I'm the stupid one. The writer God says He is coming back. If he arose, if he ascended, he is coming back. The same Jesus. You might as well make up your mind whether you're going to go with God's word and really what people say. And I'd like to say to you, wasn't it Ingersoll who said he would love to see that nobody would ever read the Bible or believe it, that the Bible would be dead. Or someone believers said that? Well, he's dead and gone, he's rotten. Nobody paying any attention to him, it's lifestyle over with him for years. But the word of God still here. All bless your heart, the word of God has stood the test of time, and it will continue to stand because it is God's Max was word. And therefore, I have staked my life, my ministry and everything I believe in Teach upon the integrity and accuracy of God's Word. If this fails, I go down with the ship. What people I want to say to you again, as I've said, across our nation, if this fails, I will have had the most glorious time living a failure that any man could have. But for people who do not believe it, if it should be the truth, they have an eternity of hell to enter, which many years plain stupidity by sheer logic. Because at best, you've only got 6070 8090 years here upon Earth. And eternity is a lot longer than that. And if the Bible shouldn't be wrong, if God told a lie, I'd rather be wrong 80 years, that'd be wrong and eternity by sheer logic. And so would do if you got the brains above your ears, right?

Wow, people, it seems to me that the ministry of the word should stand par excellence for everybody, every place in the world today. We have to hold up that word again. Like it has not been held up since the first century, fearlessly. And and dauntingly with the integrity and the accuracy with which it is written. It says that this same Jesus is going to come back. The fellow over here says he has. So you're turned to him and say, well, that's not to say that's all right with me. The Bible says he has I believe the Bible is a rite of God. So they say to you, Well, you're a cook. Just because somebody says you're a cook, that'll make you a good maybe that guy is to cook. Sure, but they always want to be literal you for believing the Word of God. They want to belittle you when the belittling is really on the other side. You see you people may get disturbed when somebody says that to you it just fires me up when they say that to me. Sure, it gets me all cranked up. Because they're the cooks they're the ones that don't even know what's going on. And I look at him say we're having if you want to be so boob and blessing stupid. We're getting mad defer loan three. What do you expect out of intelligence like that? Nothing good. I'm still says nobody's cutting back and I'll stick my life in ministry in my believing on the reality of God's Word. And verse 12 says Then return day to new Knoxville from the mount call. I love it. Why didn't they go back to Sumeria? Why didn't why didn't they go back to Galilee? Because the Lord had said, Go back there. And the Word of God was what? For them, the will of God. It meant what it said. And it said what it meant when Jesus said, Go back to Jerusalem. That's what he meant. And he said, what he meant, had they gone to Gallery, they never would have received that the receive 10 days later, either. Well, you and I, unless we do what looks really what the Word says. When the word says do this, then we do it literally. Like for instance, in Corinthians, where it said, I would speak in tongues, and it says, this is a comment. But next Sunday night, I'll talk about that if I get to it. Right? Well, it's a command but although it's not, well could argue them do. Or don't agree with your periodic I don't mean anything. The Lord says, Get your theology to agree with what the Lord says. My goodness, don't argue with me. If you don't like the word of God, complain to management. If we're not agreed on the word, don't blame me for reading lacks written, don't blame anybody for the integrity of the Lord, go to God and say, Look, I don't like it. Although I'm taking it out here and taking it out for 2000 years, and I don't think he's going to waver a little bit on anybody else's thinking right now. Anyways, they returned Jerusalem, exactly where they were supposed to go. And first 30 when they were come in, when they were came in, what day is this now class? Let's keep it straight. The day of up, they came into Jerusalem and on that day, they went into a lot. And upper room. Is it the day of Pentecost? No, it's the day of the ascension. They went into an upper room where a boat where a boat, the word of boat means that's where they slept. That's where they took off their shoes, put on their house slippers and pajamas and brush their teeth with press so they wouldn't have so many cavities or something. Well, your sense of humor is sure load and i your i am hacked on mine and you're all cold on yours. Well, we'll get together some time we'll build a fire in the furnace. Hey, it's the day of the ascension and they went into an upper room where they abode who abode there that it gives you 11 names here, James, John Andrew, Philip Thomas, or talebi, Matthew, James, the son of Alphaeus, and Simon's lotus and Judas, the brother James, not Judas Iscariot. But Judas, the brother, James 11. These are both were in the upper room. That was their motel. That was their hotel. That's where they bunk. That's where they stayed. While they were waiting for the promise of the Father, which is to be baptized with Holy Spirit, which is to be endowed with that power from on high. That's where this day verse 14, these are these 11 continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with Mary, and with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus and with his brethren in the upper row. No, it doesn't say upper room. It just got through telling us that in the upper room is where the 11 apostles did wrap a bone. So wherever this prayer could be taking place had to be at a place where women could be in attendance. And there is only one place where women at a prayer meeting at a believers meeting at a gathering together where women would be allowed to come into the area and that was in the temple area. Women's courts remember what we read Luke little while ago, they returned to Jerusalem and they were continually were in the higher Temple is all right a little while ago and Luke remember, they were continually in the temple. And yet here in Acts we read that when they returned to Jerusalem, they were in the upper room, on the rocky up in the upper room and continually in the temple. Possible. Just low, low, low detail of words. That's all because they have read that word continually as if it's written continue a slave continuously. If it said continuously in the tempo, it would mean they were there all the time. But when the word continually is used, it means they right there sporadically. They were there when they were supposed to be That's all. And they were supposed to be there, according to Bible five different times a day, the hours of prayer which are given in the Old Testament, the first, our second, or the first word time of prayer would correspond to our 6am. The third hour would be nine, the six hour would be 12. Right? The ninth hour would be three o'clock in the afternoon, and the 12 hour would be 6pm. Our time, the five hours of prayer, it said they were continually in the temple, praising and worshiping God, at hours of prayer, because the access, they were also aware in the upper room. That's how perfectly it sits. Here in this tremendous verse of scripture, these are continued in one accord with Mary, the mother, Jesus and with his brethren in prayer. And this could only have occurred at the place where it would have been allowed, which was in the temple area, at the hours of prayer. Verse 15, and in those days, what days, the days between the ascension and the day about the day they were writing for in those days, class, let me ask you, is it the day of Pentecost and in those days, now, it's in a period of time between the ascension and the day of Pentecost. And in those days, Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples and said, the number of names together were about 100. And what is it the day of Pentecost? No word there are 120. No about 120. All the commentary teaching all the Sunday School quarterly teaching, you might as well throw in fire 13, because they all teach that the day of Pentecost occurred in the upper room, and that there were 120 present when it occurred, right. The Bible doesn't say anything like April how you can have the Bible and have the word for 2000 years, and be so wrong about it is really something it's not, it's something, but there's a reason for it. Because Satan has so blinded our eyes to the Word of God, that we really do not go by the word we go by the teaching we have had by what somebody else has said, rather than by luck, the Word says, I'm not reading you any commentary. I'm not reading you any Sunday School quarterly, I'm reading with you exactly what every one of you have, in your own Bibles in your own hands here before me tonight. And it says there's plain as day in those days, Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples and said, the number of names to gather at that time were about Allah. There were 120 It was the day of Pentecost. And we have just read that in the upper room was the place where the apostles did, what about many my brother, very 16. This scripture, much needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost knew might have known by the mouth of David spake, who did the speaking, David. But what he spoke was what had been given to him by revelation from God. concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus very 70. Or he, Judas was number with us and had obtained part of this ministry. Now, have Judas hanged himself 43 days before? What's the sense of this scripture in here now? No, but he just did it. After the ascension, you know, in crisis, after that, Judas committed suicide. Now they're waiting for the promise of the Father, which you and I know took 10 days, during that period of time, they went to the temple every day expecting something to happen. It didn't occur for the time had not yet come. Judas hanged himself. And because of the prophecy, where the Scripture said by the mouth of David so and so and so and so they said, We elect someone to take these plates at this occurred 43 days ago, they should have elected him 30 days after right. But the reason it's set here like it is is because it fit. So now we're going to have the selection of someone to take Judas his place. And we're into this great section. Now in beginning in verse 18. It has really been a problem to many, many people. No problem here because we're just gonna read the Word and believe what it says. Now this man purchase, purchase The right purchase. You know what it means. If you're gonna buy yourself an ice cream cone, you're gonna have CIF that's cash in fist dying 15 cents quarter. You know I stopped today to get me one of those things that isn't even ice cream has just blown up louder or something I don't know about your college and got a 60 They started with with 10 cents and you got nothing for 10 or 15. It sucked out of the top of the cone only about that far. And I thought to myself good gravy. The next price was 25. And it went up to 30. And I looked at some Gala was getting 30. And I thought at that price oughta buy a half a dozen if we're going to Well anyways, I want to go back the word purchased. This word purchased is translated you may want to make a note of this. It is translated in Matthew chapter 10 verse nine, provided Euro vi d. Ed. Somebody has that scripture. You may just read it to me from Matthew 10 Nine. All right, either gold or silver in your breath and you're right provides neither gold nor silver nor brass at your purchases. That's the same word Greek word that's translated purchased here. So you provide for yourself, Judas, this man, Judas Iscariot, provided for himself by purchasing a rap field. The word field is the word Kati Oh, you better make a note of that. Ch R. Oh, Ira, I ch R I O N is the word Kati. Oh, the word Corleone is a small field. A small property you would have translated at property. He bought himself a lot 50 by 110. In Florida 25 by 60 was supposed to be a joke two didn't go down very well, I do this man purchase for himself a property, a property with every word I've had. So why did he buy this property with with the reward of that? Why? What is the reward? I mean, equity. Not that 30 pieces of silver. Read that after a bit what they did with that. In John chapter 12, verse six, you better look it up, I suppose. John chapter 12 verse six. Do you have a burning Chrome? Are you on something else there? Okay, someone else who has it back in here? All right, louder, please. Cloud six read it. This is this. Not that he cared for the poor but because he was a thief that tried and have built up that tip. It says that Judas loves a lab thief. Well, if he's a thief, or to get his money, and who where do you steal it from? That's why it's called the reward I love. There's your clue. It tells you where he got the dough to buy the property with where he got the money with which he bought the property on which he wanted to retire and he did retire on it. But those differently than perhaps anticipated. When he got his old age, grandkids running around the rest His way wanted to retire. No. This man provided or purchased a field with the reward of iniquity and failing Headlam panders his own property. He burst asunder in the midst and I read bowels gushed out. And you know, the picture I used to have a real problem for me. I couldn't ever figure that out. And I did pretty good on it. Because the way I figured it out, either had a a weak limb or a rat rope. Sure, because the picture I had in my mind was exactly said he fell down. He busted out in the middle, and I was intestines for all over the place. And I slept well by Gemini, if he put a rope around his neck, the only way this could happen was that he was hanging up high, there must have been a precipice blow. And so either either the wind was weak, or the rope was not so strong and it should be so he went down below. No. You know how he did this? By running a steak or a sharp instrument into himself. He impaled himself. That's what he did. It says. It says he found him around he fell headlong. The lead he fell headlong down upon a sharp stake which pierced him in here in his midsection. And, and it pierced him to the end that after he was pierced his intestines came up. Life magazine was it last Christmas or when was this? Some of you might students have seen these pictures where they showed the criminals impaled on stakes wooden stakes that you can follow through the tremendous thing that are. So we've only got 10 minutes left and I wanted the radio audience to get the benefit of these tremendous truths tonight. I don't think I'll be able to finish them in 10 minutes, but Right. You people listening by radio just have to come over then and get the rest some other time. But right now, this Life magazine had these pictures, had these pictures showing how criminals were impaled on steak. Remember in the Old Testament, sales sons. That's right, Sal himself committed suicide by failing on his own sword. And if I remember correctly, somebody reported that he had chopped cells head off. And the other fella didn't like that. So he chopped that other fellows head All right, because he never would have dared to lay any, any any sword to the king. But the king could impale himself and commit suicide on his own sword. That's what Saul did. Right? The armor bad did the same thing there, if biblically can go on with that story. Well, that's exactly what happened here. Verse 19. And it was known unto all the donors had Jerusalem, in so much as that field, that property the road is CareOne for field. In that proper tongue, that field our property is called Akadama. Look at it after DOMA. That is to say, the field above was it called this one he purchased it? No, no, no, it was just a property. But because he committed suicide on it. And his blood was shed on that property. after it occurred some time afterwards. They called that property, the property of blood. Feel the blood, not people. Keep your finger in X and go to Matthew 27. And handle that other scripture beautifully. Matthew 27

verse one, when the morning has come, while the chief priests and outers of the people took console against Jesus to put him to death, and when they had found him, they laid Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor versus three, then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, where there is fat, sorry. And he brought again, Judas brought again, that 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and who, the others, saying, I have sinned, in that I've betrayed innocent blood. And they said, What's that to us the vow to them. And he Judas, cast the pieces, the 30 pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and he went and hanged himself. Does it say he went immediately? That's what we read into it. It's a statement of truth. It said he went, and he hanged himself. But going to the book of Acts, we found out when he did hang himself. I look up the chief priests did very six, they took the silver pieces, the 30 silver pieces, and said, It's not laughable for it to be put back into the treasury, because it is the price of that. This is what they have paid Judas to betray Jesus to them. That's why it was the price of blood. This is what they had prayed. paid him for betraying the Lord Jesus understand. And they took very seven console and Beth and they deliberately work with those 30 pieces of silver that Potter's well, not carry around, the word is out gross, or gross. It is a field it's a it's a larger area than a property. It is entire area. They took the 30 pieces of silver and deliberately went to the open market place and they purchased a field with that to bury strangers or foreigners in you know, we still have on some cemeteries today what they call potter's field. Right. You're bearing strangers in verse eight, wherefore that field are gross. Remember the Latin for field or farmer? Agriculture is not Quick collapse, the Greek right is not gross. What it means why does that feel? Well that wherefore, verse eight, that field, that field when they bought it, no, but later on was called the field ever. Why? Because it was back with blood money, money that they had paid to Judas to be trained to them, Jesus Christ and Judas took that money and gave it back to them. But they weren't allowed to put it back in the treasury got the same problem, not government, Washington, maybe I saw the other week where some university had mailed money back to them. And they had a problem figuring out what they were going to do with it, not just that came back because they had no rules, regulations on any refunds like that. Well, they had no rules regulations on these refunds either, that it didn't have to do with it couldn't put it back into Treasury because it was blood money. So that got a Cabinet meeting. And in the Cabinet meeting, they decided the best thing to do is take this money and buy a field where we can be very frank to foreigners in strangers in and because they bought it with the 30 pieces of silver. The people called it the Field of Blood in the word again is our gross. Now verse nine then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah, my other prophet and Barak Dashlane, a critic Glenn said to me, that's not in the book of Jeremiah, I told you I tried is not in the book of Jeremiah doesn't say it's in the book of Jeremiah, it says it was spoken by Jeremiah doesn't say it's in the book of Jeremiah says it was spoken by Jeremiah, right. That's what it meant. This was a lot of things that prophets spoke which are not in the Bible. When it says it's spoken by the prophet, men spoken by the prophet saying, and they took the 30 pieces of silver and a price of them that was valued, whom they are the children of Israel devout, and gave them for the potter's field as the Lord appointed me. You see how perfectly Matthew 27 and x chapter two fit together. Provided that you understand that in in Matthew, we're talking about the 30 pieces of silver, which they used to buy deliberately by a field to bury strangers and, and that field was called the Field of Blood because they bought it with blood money. Wow.

In Acts chapter two, Judas provided a property for himself. And because he committed suicide on his own property, that property was also called the field of art. And because both have fields of blood, the commentaries got it all screwed up. They said, well, it was bought with a 30 pieces of silver, while Matthew had told you what 30 pieces of silver was. And over here in x, it tells you very plainly that this property was black with the reward of iniquity, that which he had seen out of the bag. So it's a tremendous truth, and on his own property hanged himself. Well, bless your heart. You see how wonderfully this scripture fits together in x. And over in Matthew, all you need to do is read what's written and work and you have to watch the word field. The one word is carry on in Acts, while it's our gross every place in the Gospel of Matthew. And if you'll keep it separated, there is no contradiction. There is no air and it'll fit like a hand in a glove.
