Simeon and Anna
Luke 2:22-39. On the surface, it is not that significant of a passage to most people. Certainly it has not been the subject of sermons; there have not been books written about it; it is not a passage that many have memorized and contemplated. But once you get past the surface and really begin to consider this passage, you can see God's faithfulness to His Word, even unwritten promises to one individual. You can see God's care and concern for two people to whom He had entrusted great responsibility. You can see the awesome timing of events in the lives of people who walk by faith and not by sight. Enjoy the passage once more and enjoy the song.
