God's Calling Card
A calling card (or visiting card) was a small paper card used as a method of introduction. The card would be used to "announce" the arrival of the person whose name was on the card. This song was written in Oklahoma after our minister had done a series of teachings out of the Book of Acts. The major outreachs of God's Word in Acts were accompanied by signs, miracles and wonders - proofs of God's working with the early believers. For far too often today, it is true that many Christians endeavor to carry out the work of God, but leave God out of it. The signs, miracles and wonders that accompany the preaching of His Word are too often absent. The gift of holy spirit given on Pentecost is our power source for abundant living and for our Christian witness.
