Ephesians 81-82 Verbatim Transcript

This publication is a verbatim transcript of the audio recordings of Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille’s 1981-82 Way Corps teachings on the Book of Ephesians.

Generally preferred in research situations, a verbatim transcript functions to preserve each and every word originally spoken by the speaker. In this regard, a verbatim transcript differs from an edited transcript. While an edited transcript will make grammatical corrections and possibly minor changes commonly applied when converting the spoken word to the written one for the sake of readability, the verbatim transcript does not incorporate such changes.

The goal of this project was to produce an accurate and complete verbatim transcript of the class. That means when Dr. Wierwille misspeaks and then corrects himself, or ever when he makes an error, it is recorded. Considering the minute detail that Dr. Wierwille covered in the teachings to the Way Corps, the verbatim transcript has been chosen to best serve to protect the integrity of the original teaching and communicate the heart of the teacher.

In Living Victoriously The Word Worldwide Dr. Wierwille shared his heart of teaching Ephesians during 1981-82: The word katangellō. and “evangelism” brings to mind our course on Ephesians for The Way Corps, in which we taught everything that we possibly could work in the Book of Ephesians. (I taught it twice. The first year, I took the Corps as far as I thought they could go. The next year, there were very few “holds barred” but I thought they could handle it therefore the Research Department and I worked so that I taught them everything I could possibly work in the book of Ephesians—that is this word katangellō.) That is an illustration of this wonderful word katangellō meaning to teach thoroughly, taking people into the inner depths of God’s Word to give them that fantastic foundation and understanding.

Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.

By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.

In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.

Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

Books by Dr. Wierwille include: Are the Dead Alive Now? published in 1971; Receiving the Holy Spirit Today published in 1972; five volumes of Studies in Abundant Living— The Bible Tells Me So (1971), The New, Dynamic Church (1971), The Word's Way (1971), God's Magnified Word (1977), Order My Steps in Thy Word (1985); Jesus Christ Is Not God (1975); Jesus Christ Our Passover (1980); and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed (1982).

Dr. Wierwille researched God's Word, taught, wrote, and traveled worldwide, holding forth the accuracy of God's "wonderful, matchless" Word.
