4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

4 We are persuaded about you who remain at rest in the Lord, that you are doing and will continue to do all the things we lovingly charged you to do.

4 And we have been and are persuaded about you, that you will remain at rest in your heart in the Lord, and that you are living and behaving and doing all and will continue to do all that which we lovingly requested you to do.

1 Now therefore [to wrap it all up], brothers, pray continually for us in order that the Word of the Lord [regarding the return] may run the race [spread rapidly without interference] and be triumphantly glorified all along the way, even as it has among you. 2 And that we may be rescued from unreasonable [those whom we cannot reason with God’s Word] and evil men [who harass us by deliberately inflicting evil]. For not all men believe [the message of the return], 3 But God is faithful [reliable], who will establish you [so you do
