1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

1 Now therefore [to wrap it all up], brothers, pray continually for us in order that the Word of the Lord [regarding the return] may run the race [spread rapidly without interference] and be triumphantly glorified all along the way, even as it has among you.
