5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

5 I desire that ye all use your voice without reference to the words spoken, and speak in tongues, but I desire more that ye prophesy, for greater is the measure of quality of prophecy, than of speaking in tongues, except tongues be interpreted, made plain, in order that the Church may receive building up.
