1 Corinthians 14:2

1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)

2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

1 Corinthians 14:2 (Literal)

2 He who uses his voice without reference to the words spoken is speaking in a tongue and is absolutely not speaking to human beings but to the Father. For no one speaking in tongues hears his own speaking to the end of understanding with his mind what he speaks; for in the spirit he speaks with his mouth divine secrets.
