2 Timothy 3:1-17

1 Know this: In these last days dangerous times will set in. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to their parents, deniers of grace, perverse, 3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, unrestrained in passions, savages, haters of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, full of conceit, lovers of sensual pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an outward appearance of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from these men. 6 These are the kind who enter disguised into houses and captivate women loaded down with sins and easily swayed by various cravings, 7 always learning [by experiences] and never able to come to an accurate knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so these men also stand against the truth—men with utterly corrupt minds, unfit concerning the household of faith. 9 But they will advance no further, for their foolishness will be clearly evident to everyone, just as theirs [Jannes’ and Jambres’] became [clearly evident]. 10 You, however, have closely followed my doctrine, leadership lifestyle, purpose, believing, longsuffering, love, and patience 11 during the persecutions and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord rescued me from them all. 12 Indeed, everyone who desires to live godly in Christ Jesus shall be persecuted. 13 Evil and deceitful men will grow worse and worse, while deceiving and being deceived. 14 You, on the other hand, continue in the things you have learned and in which you have been established, realizing from whom you have learned them 15 and [realizing] that from your youth you were taught the sacred
writings which are able to make you wise to life, through believing in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, [yea] for disciplined instruction in righteoussness, 17 so that the man of God may be equipped, perfectly equipped for every good work.
