Victor Paul Wierwille was a Bible scholar and teacher for over four decades.
By means of Dr. Wierwille's dynamic teaching of the accuracy and integrity of God's Word, foundational class and advanced class graduates of Power for Abundant Living have learned that the one great requirement for every student of the Bible is to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Thus, his presentation of the Word of God was designed for students who desire the in-depth-accuracy of God’s Word.
In his many years of research, Dr. Wierwille studied with such men as Karl Barth, E. Stanley Jones, Glenn Clark, Bishop K.C. Pillai, and George M. Lamsa. His formal training included Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Mission House (Lakeland) College and Seminary. He studied at the University of Chicago and at Princeton Theological Seminary from which he received a Master of Theology degree in Practical Theology. Later he completed his work for the Doctor of Theology degree.
Dr. Wierwille taught the first class on Power for Abundant Living in 1953.

The Gospel of Luke chapter four at least. I am sure that some people would perhaps wonder why Father inspired me to use this section of the Word of God. In this the opening, and the official dedication and opening of the lay course. To be real honest, I sort of thought about it a few times myself, I wondered why. But then I got to thinking, well, people have wandered about my life and my operation in the ministry. So many, many times. They wonder why I do certain things a certain way. And it's like I've said to our people, time and time again, to your friends, they need no explanation. Your enemies wouldn't believe it anyway. So you just walk with the greatness of the presence of the glory of the Lord and your life, and quit trying to explain everything to everybody. People said to me three years ago, when I first voiced this among a few people, they said, Well, they didn't think the core could be handled by the Wait a minute. They said it couldn't be done. Well, they said that about the film industry, too, right? They said we couldn't make the class on power for abundant living. So we did it anyway. They said the core couldn't you couldn't work a core like this in the way ministry? Well, we were here tonight, to prove everybody who has said that a lot. Because it's already a success. Because God did it. And when God did it, that makes him a majority. Now, this record and why God inspired my heart to use it on this great night is something I think you're just going to have to see the momentous greatness of it for yourself. First verse, And Jesus be full of a new Mahajan. Oh, Holy Spirit, returned from Jordan and was led by they got a capital F. That's real dabeli. The capital has never led him into the wilderness to be tempted other day a while anyways, he returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. The first thing I want you to notice is that Jesus was not an empty. Jesus was just not a person floating through. It says he was full. He was an empty, he was failed. He was full of Panama, he only was full of the Spirit, he was full of everything God was able to give you. And yet, in spite of being told, he was led into the wilderness. Inside of the Corps, we're going to be full and yet you're going to find times that you are going to be exposed to the wilderness. And Jesus was not an empty. They never wasted time with empty, he's got fame. Satan is only concerned about hitting the big people. The ones that are whole don't want to have committed themselves those are the ones he tries to work on.

temptations will come no matter how full you are. temptations will be there. But temptation is not sin yielding to it is. And if you think for one minute that just because you've joined the core, you have dedicated your life for two years to the core, that Satan is going to let you alone, you've got another guest. He's going to do his best to get you out in that wilderness. And he's going to do his best to trip you up. Wherever he can, he'll do the same for me to try to break the coals. While I've made up my mind. He can't break it because God said it can't be broken when we believe God's word and we're going to believe. Verse three says, And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it'd be made bread, marvelous temptation. He was in hungered after 40 days and he said, you need a little bread. And the devil said, if you are such a wonderful son of God, If you're so full of God, why don't you make that stone during the brand? Jesus and 3d MC. It's the reply with the words, men will posit many questions, they will bring via man, many of these temptations could Jesus have turned that stone into bread? He could have if he had a lot. But he had 100 for 40 days. And Jesus could have said, Well, boy, I forgot somebody was younger. If you fasted for 40 days, then you get hungry or some another 15 minutes not gonna kill you. But for most people that have grabbed it, and said, oh, boy, I gotta have it now. You know, you see something at the store, and I got a habit. Now I'm already in debt over my neck, but I got to buy it now. None of us ever been through that. Jesus replied with the words, this is the core, you have got to get that word within you. So that when temptations come, and they'll always come by a people, basically, that you've got the answer that you can reciprocate with the Lord, not with your opinion, not with BP, where wills opinion, not with what your denomination says or mine. But what does. This is the goal. Man shall not live by bread alone. but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. That isn't quite what Luke says is, my mind is going back to Matthew and a few other places. It is written that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of the day, there's a lot of bread. And when our boys from a West Coast, talk about bread, you know what it means, though? Money. That's what they said all summer. They were here, you know. And they said, well, so and so they've talked about bread, okay, Man shall not live by bread, by dough alone by money, by food, physical food. But man has to live by the Word, every word, not just one word here, one word there another word there, every word of God. And people if there's ever been a time for somebody to get to the words, this is because we're living in an a fluid age of dope of breath. Buddha was a breath. It doesn't take much ability to date and make 810 $12,000 a year. Why even a tavern keeper can make that they don't take any ability. Because all you have to do is shake up things a little bit, pour it out of the right side of the cup or something. But so there is a lot of breads today, but very little bread of life, very little other way to God. Most people just talk about, but very little genuine word. doorway core is the word that's primary. Like a very sight. And the devil then did was took him up into a high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, all this power will I give thee and the glory of them for that is delivered to me and to whomsoever I will, I was all the kingdoms of the world who wouldn't sell his soul today, the average person for all the things in the world, most people sell it for a little section of a community. So don't say that. Or if I could just be the main man if I could be the mayor. or if I could come from a little hick town down in southern Ohio and get to be the great governor of the state of Ohio, I'll just sell my soul to anybody in Cleveland in the other place. And if I cold be the president united states, oh, why wouldn't? Jesus had the opportunity bigger than anybody? He said, all the kingdoms of the world and all the glory of them.

Verse nine, and take again, he brought him to Jerusalem, the great center of all religious movement, and he set him on a pinnacle the temple and said, If thou be the Son of God, you just cast yourself down from him, for it is threatened. And here the devil is quoting Scripture. He shall give it angels charge over the tricky space. Now, don't tell me the devil doesn't know the Bible. He knows more scriptures, and the average Christian ever gets around to thinking it because we never have a recovery program. As a Christian, we have a forgetful program. No recovery, no retaining in the mind of the greatness of God's Word. The old devil knows scripture. And he puts it in giant jump up brain cells, Johnny jump up, comes back with a little bit of scripture from this place, and from that place in Rome, behold, before you know it, they're not worshipping the true God. They're worshipping a false God, but they think it's the true God. But thinking doesn't make it so you label the canned pickles on the outside, you've got peaches on the inside, it doesn't change the fruit on the inside. The label doesn't rock your life. Well, we're very thin, or it is written, He shall give His angels charge over the to keep the and in their hands. They shall bear the Aplex at any time. And this of course, you all know from the foundational classes, how you have to test whether that word is rightly divided or whether it is whether it's just a bunch of baloney and hogwash were handed out or whether it's the greatness of God's wonderful mess with the devil quoted it. There's a lot of things men do, that just doesn't get God's dandruff up nearly as much as when you begin worshiping, and other God instead of the true God. Man, then you've had it with you, as the nation's which the Lord destroy us before your faith, so shall ye Perry, because he would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord, you're a lot. That's why I said to you, when I began tonight, that's the core of the purpose or the core is that the realization again, come into our hearts and love the people that man does not live by bread alone. but by every word, not just a word you pick out here in a word you pick out there, but by every word, which proceeded out of the mouth of God. Now the word of God is made up, or composed of the words of God. And this word of God constitutes the food for our minds to be renewed on the words. In our culture, in our time of guards diet, is recognized more and more as an internal as well as an essential thing to nutrition and proper physical growth. So I believe that the diet of the Word of God is required by men and women, if they want to have mature, spiritual body, so to speak. And the reason we are so emaciated and in poverty and manifest the same spiritually and nutritionally, spiritually, is because we have been living on the improper food or it's been the neglect of the Word of God. You learned those two points in the foundation of love.

Do you assimilate it? Do you understand it? And people when you put poison in your body or get poisoned results, whether it's physical or spiritual? And so we just keep going on with the same stuff. Not the way core way goes. So no, we're not interested in what society does.
